I've lived in SW FL born and raised until I moved to the panhandle 5yrs ago. I'm 56, I've never seen one do anything like this. Usually if they do develop there they swing into Texas or Louisiana. The flooding in Sw Florida comes from up here the northern part of Florida and the Southern States north of us. All the water runs down to the middle of Sw Florida it's from the Helena rain runoff. We lived in Northport back in 95 we had mega flooding because of it and we hadn't had any rain at all but yeah it's the lowest area. I got so upset this afternoon, there is a little gal named Maddie living in an RV in amongst some trees, said RV is stationary, can’t be moved, and her and her husband were going to ride it out as they have so many times before. Got very defensive with those trying to convince her this is a different kind of beast, she would say things like, “yeah I know EVERYONE thinks they know better than we do, even though we’ve done this countless times. Just stop.” Smh, this broke my heart, it will take a miracle to come through what’s coming. You should see the setup. 😞

I personally feel if they are going home to home people should go , if you stay and you need to be rescued you are putting other people in danger while trying to rescue you. I realize it is not a easy as just picking up and going but I hear there are safe places to go from private citizens and communities. I am praying for safety for all.
