    Have you ever wondered why once-powerful nations like Germany, Japan, and the UK no longer wield significant influence on the global stage? The answer lies in their inability to assert themselves decisively. Japan, in particular, serves as a cautionary tale. Had it maintained its strategic autonomy, it could have potentially surpassed the United States or at least rivaled China's current dominance. Instead, Japan opted for a subordinate role, sacrificing its potential for economic and geopolitical leadership.
    Today, many Western countries face similar challenges, compromised by their reluctance to assert their interests. This serves as a valuable lesson for African nations. To break free from exploitative relationships and forge their own paths, they must prioritize economic independence. By doing so, they can reclaim their sovereignty and shape their destinies.
    It's time for African nations to reassess their international partnerships and forge a new path, one defined by self-determination, strategic autonomy, and economic empowerment.

      @@nathanmbaziira1524 Allies in what? You have oppressors disguised as allies and you don't even acknowledge it. In fact, our best allies I think are those that support us economically in a sense that they buy what we produce and offer us a market. The rest we should care as much. For me whoever doesn't buy what Uganda and Africa produce is useless!

That is indirectly condamne the action of Mohuzi, am not the fan of Muhozi, but the fact is what about the crime what Usa police officers perpetry in citizens of Usa, if the ambassador of Uganda in Usa come ut and tweet them in social media? What it will be the concequence? That is my question to Raymond that i appreciate his analysis. Sorry am not English speaking person, but try to contribute in the debate. Thank you

      @EdgarMuhebwa 2 месяца назад +1

      It depends on what you understand by foreign policy. It can be good or bad. Whatever the case, it remains foreign policy. The only issue is that as a government official, he always lacks the backing of his government. And besides, his position has got nothing to do with foreign policy. So, whatever he says doesn't count at all.

    • @EdgarMuhebwa
      @EdgarMuhebwa 2 месяца назад +1

      Foreign policy can be either beneficial or detrimental, depending on one's perspective. Regardless, it remains a crucial aspect of international relations. However, in this case, the government official's statements hold little weight. The issue lies not in his views, but in his lack of governmental support. Moreover, his position doesn't involve foreign policy, rendering his opinions inconsequential.

    Welcome back, Raymond. Solomon, pay attention to the language choice in that tweet, "...we have a lot of evidence that THEY have been working against the NRM government." Meanwhile, this is a military serving officer tweeting. He addresses THEY, not an ambassador. Secondly, Solomon, on the street, it's those seemingly weak that goad you into a fight. But there are always stronger people behind them who come to finish the well choreographed mission.
    What I am saying is that as we discuss the message, don't forget the messenger, his associates and their intrests.
    Like, Raymond put it, competition for power in whatever form, it comes with what we're yet to see.

    Ok! But you guy must know that America only sees the rest of the world as should be slaves. Therefore, the only option we have is to be clear where we stand, for example being clear about our prohibition of homosexuality, this is our moral and spiritual win whereas to the West, it is human rights violation. We should not surrender the little we are left with for the perceived even little aid from the West which also ends in the hands of the corrupt officials. I therefore commend Kainerugaba for his resolve and honesty.
