Best discussion Mr Andrew is employing the wisdom always advocate for the better and people really need direction and a leader with personal interests does more harm Mr Muntu my president am enjoying the discussion and I believe u can make a good Uganda through your discipline You have my vote 💪
I no longer consider Mwenda an objective commentator given his allegiance to the MK project , but I completely agree with analysis today and share his bafflement with the Ugandan situation. How come the Ugandan people are completely incapable of exercising any leverage on their leaders???!!!
Muntu's words come from the broken heart surely when they were coming in 1986, the muntus and colleagues never expected Uganda cld be in this unfortunate position of economic situation
I think that Mwenda and Muntu were able to hold an intellectual conversation without yapping and throwing insults at each other. How much more I would wish to have many more panelists engage in medial in the same way. Uganda's political trajectory would change or transform in the right way through civic education. True, all public institutions (parliament, judiciary, civil service) has been eroded by incompetent people (who are there to pursue their own personal interests). This status quo can be changed by the citizens themselves through civil education (patriotism).
Very interesting discussion that analyses situation and give out open views and thoughts of what could do better for the country. Thanks to the moderator and hosted guests.
General Muntu doesn't put it any better. That's how the white led Democratic Alliance (DA) in south Africa now attract black south African voters because of effective administration in provinces and cities they lead. Unlike ANC governed Areas where public services get worse by the day.
A country consisting 4 regions and the region where the president comes from has more members of parliament than the 3 regions put together then mobilising 2 thirds becomes easier...
The is no investment in civic education, which could help Uganda to empower its citizens to actively participate in governance, demand better services, and contribute meaningfully to national development. This could pave the way for a more equitable, democratic, and prosperous society. Responsible and relevant government institutions dont carry out this role which poeple ignorant of thier rights 4o
Democracy is an ideology that evolves from basic ideas. I disagree with Andrew that Democracy found institutions in place. It's the basic ideas in the West that built their civilization, including a developed Democracy later. You would have to think about the ideas that moved the pioneers of America from Europe aboard the Mayfair across the Atlantic. The ideas of family being their basic society upon which a certain work ethic, moral culture, etc. were built.
Best discussion

GOOD DEBATE FROM RESPECTABLE MEN
Andrew can analyze foreign issues but blunt on issues in uganda
Because of tumbocracy
