Let me comment here again , solomon u did a good job, u gave your guest enough time to respond 👏 secondly Mao Is a very smart highly respectful kind of man ad solo was so composed and relaxed unlike the other interview with Andrew M regarding General MK. It makes me feel u have personal issues against the general but regardless we move. U have earned my respect solomon, keep bringing serious people who discuss issues without malice ❤

Mao's ideas are good but cannot work under a military dictatorship. The opposition cannot continue to work with people who have made violence their trend

Thanks so much Solomon Serwanjja for hosting Nobert Mao- He is very smart and Intelligent.
I have reallly liked Nobert Mao's point at minutes (32:02 to 32:34).
" President Museveni is a Leader whose age is advanced. Now Ugandans instead of looking at the picture as a whole and say , Look! Can we for once have one Government leaving and another one coming in without blood shade? - Let's declare that goal together as a Country and we can not surrender it to only President Museveni."...

At the close of this interview, Mao confirmed that Uganda continues to be a country not because of a constitution (an agreement between the peoples of Uganda) but because the peoples are held together using the army. The British created it using force, governed with some agreements, today the African successors of the British almost entirely depend on force, patronage and allowing corruption.

Voting is a waste of time, I agree with Besigye because many youth responded to Kyagulanyi’s call to get National Ids and they voted but Byabakama struck the eight million new voters off the register by bringing results from an old voting process.
Mao, I do not believe that Uganda can have a free and fair election.
    My questions to Mao are:
    1. How has Uganda benefitted from his joining NRM?
    2. Have the issues that drove him to oppose NRM been dealt with?

If Mao needs a power grab by the generals to be resisted and he needs the backup of Ugandan citizens, then the Governmebt has to revise the way the national cake is being shared. The way I see things, most Ugandans have nothing to lose if the geberals grab power from the Maos.

Ugandans must really be spoilt for choice post Museveni presidency. Mao - among others - fits the bill. However, constitutional changes are really requisite vis a vis term limits, devolution (properly delineated regions with executive heads i.e. LC president/governor/premier etc). And perhaps two chambers of the legislature.

    • @nxgn895

I doubt Mao can be a factor post museveni coz Ugandans are becoming awoke lot by the year and rhetoric and propaganda coz majority ugandans know museveni coopted and compromised him coz his political career was failing and frail and literally his trying to shoot in the dark with peaceful transition talks to sanitize his miscalculation

Mao, just like Jimmy Akena, used to tell the world the challenges and weaknesses of the NRM, now that you joined the same party in the guise to change the NRM singlehandedly. Unfortunately, the two are now sleeping in the same bed with NRM, filling their stomachs are they age gracefully.
It's true, the opposition is struggling with the unfair ground for competing in elections. Mao is now a dead man in my opinion. Why sign an MoU to work for ur country?
