This western journalists question the president as if they are concerned to the people of Africa. When they see an African country in peace and developing, they come with unrealistic theory of democracy to create difference within us.
We Africans shouldn't worry who runs the country and for how long. We should mind our business not stupid questions from western journalists who put their priority to disintegrate Africa and other non-western country. Look what they have down to Lybia, Iraq, Syria, and many other countries. So don't let this disease of democracy ...

Excellent responses by our President enlightening the world on various Western convoluted views of Uganda and Africa.... you are right: we will not trade our rights for Western venisones. The journalists were silent on their critical and historical ravage of Africa by slave trade, colonialist and neocolonialistic greeds. Ugandans need to benefit from such insights. I watched PM David Cameron so immorally saying, 'perhaps we will recolonialise Africa'; the issue being we opposed LGBT, and point no 2, their artificial emotion to loot and kill Libya and Gadhafi and point no3 then go After the necks of other strong African leaders...enfolded in the wicked beliefs that 'black lives do not matter'. Africa therefore are increasingly resenting the ways of the West. It sounds like one Uganda president I heard saying 'Perhaps we will use the power of poverty to control the country' and he thought it clever statement yet it was just a mere cheap, cunning statement of 'a falling god'. I recently heard one minister of a key country saying' street accomodation is a way of life!' In that country. CONFUSED MINDS OF OUR TIMES.
Thank you Your Excellency for swelling our thinkiing reserves; widening the network of our cognitive mind especially on the way to go by Africa today.

Listen to the part he talks about the Chinese and Africa, the journalist seems not to relate issues, but through his vast knowledge, he goes on to educate them. I now believe when people say, if you are better than them they will hate you. These people who don’t take time to listen to him think it is just a history lesson. In fact Museveni has missed the question. He was asked why he is now being called dictator and autocrats. Instead of asking who are these people, are they foreigners or Ugandan? He jumped to answer the question to justify his long stay in power. James John he didnot hold Uganda together but he as brutalised Ugandans to the level that most of the have become too afraid of his rule. The same was in Libya and Zaire now Dr Congo.
If you think that he held the country together, what will happen if he dies tomorrow?

Listen to his Rich depth of knowledge, direction and inspiration...
Somebody please lead me to him to share my ideas n prospectus

This is a knowledge-'enriching interview.First President Museveni has in my view finally put to rest the issue of term limit in governance. He said and convinced everyone that too much emphsis is placed on term limit instead of asking if the President is doing what needs to done
With this it means that as long as a country enjoys political stability.economic prosperity and social integration the term limit of the President should be a non-issue.Secondly,markets especially European markets have been a very big problem for African exports. The director-general of World Trade Organisation said just last week that African exports are rejected in Europe on Quality Controls grounds. Then if this is the case the European entrepreneurs may wish to come to Africa to set up factories and control the quality of our exports to their countried And finally for having special seats for women and the disables among other groups ,Uganda has set the pace and blaze the trail again this time in democracy

he is so forebearing and longsuffering of IDIOTIC journalists! GERMANY has NOTHING to ask the presidents on this continent they should ANSWER about the GENOCIDES they continue to perpetrate in NAMIBIA against the BANTU whose POPULATION has basically STAGNATED while the GERM and CHISE AND BOER DUTCH EUROPEAN populations continue to INCREASE in leaps and bounds!!...WHAT imperialism is that?!! GO ADDRESS NAMIBIA'S STERILIZATIONS BANTU LOW BIRTHS and GENOCIDE FIRST!
What is AUTHORITARIANISM when CHINA is THRIVING under LONG TERM presidencies, French Republic, Israel are ALL LONG TERM PRESIDENTS yet these EUROPEAN "journalists" DONT PATRONISE these ISRAELIS or CHINESE about being TIRED or AUTHORITARIAN about ruling their countries!!...SO WHAY DO these IMPERIALISTS think they have ANYTHING to ASK the PRESIDENTS of this CONTINENT that is NOT GERMANY not EUROPE, WHY do they ask BANTU PRESEIDENTS about HOW LONG or SHORT they need to STAY IN POWER?
What does SHE mean by "can you not let go of power"?!! WHAT KIND OF GARBISH question is that ANYWAY?...Museveni was being very kind, he hsould have CHASED THEM OUT and told them to GO ASK THE CHINESE and ISRAELIS why theri presidents stay in power and ARE AUTHORITARIAN but NO!they DONT ASK them, but they THINK they are STILL IN POWER and have RIGHT to DEMAND BANTU presidents should LEAVE POWER WHY?!!
ALL the CORRUPT African LEADERS have ALWAYS been PROPPED by these SAME IMPERIALISTS anyway!!---WANYAMAZE WARUDI KWAO! nobody needs their LECTURES AND SERMONS about HOW the PRESIDENTS AUGHT to be doing! THEY NEVER ask the DICTATORS they PROP when they stay in power forever because they are SERVING IMPERIALIST AGENDAS!...SHIDWE SANA!

i'm a bit late to the party, as in i'm 40 and just beginning to learn about the Ugandan/African history and struggles and all I can say is wow, wow, wow!!! Museveni is 100% right about his historical understanding of Africa, but perhaps more than anything is his convictions and aspirations fro Uganda and future panAfrican unity are pointing in the right direction.
As he says, Uganda cannot develop into a market 'capitalist' economy until they overcome their tribal/ethnic issues. The European overcame their tribalism in the 1800's during their industrial revolution, but it took them over 1000 years to do so. Africa has a long way to go and I believe Museveni is just laying the foundations for future generations similar to Charlemagne (800 A.D) for the Europeans.
It is going to be a very sad day for Ugandans/Africa when he passes.
