Whats the difference between glass, satin, and matte? Which one is the best, based on art medium type, and which one eould you consider using for watercolors?
@ColorByFeliks ok, because I have gloss varnishes, but sometimes the effect isn't what I like, and it comes out too shiny that it reflects too much light. Do you use a type of varnish on watercolor paintings?
I like to do the sides as I'm painting with whatever color is on my brush for each part of the painting. Like if I'm painting the sky, the sides that it's on I will paint blue and if the bottom is a forest, those sides will be green. Sorta like that anyway. 🤭
I haven’t tried but I believe it should work! The good thing about varnish is that you could always add a different varnish on top if you don’t like the outcome. I remember I wanted to change from gloss to matte and so I used a matte spray varnish and it worked great 👍
Anyone got any tips for varnishing textured paintings? I often create thicker, textured areas on my paintings and I'm afraid ill create buildups of varnish in those areas.
Most artists use an easel. It looks like you're using a tripod? Are you willing to share the name of the tripod and the attachment you are using to attach the canvas to the tripod? That's brilliant! Thank you.
There's an easy way to do the edges where you can't get paint on the front or back of your painting, you are doing it the very hard way. I would never paint my edges like you are doing. I love how you paint though.

@@ColorByFeliks Thanks so much! 👍
Whats the difference between glass, satin, and matte? Which one is the best, based on art medium type, and which one eould you consider using for watercolors?
Honestly, it’s personal preference! I mostly love using gloss varnish because it makes the painting look sharper and gives more contrast to my colors.

Does varnishing it makes it last longer?
Do you use an isolation coat before you gloss varnish?
No, I just use gloss varnish one coat 😊👍
So if I finish an acrylic painting in the afternoon, can I gloss/varnish it the next day?
i saw that for acrylics you should let it fully dry, 1-2 weeks (some say more)
Where can I buy that easel? That's amazing.
They’re out of stock but will be back soon here 👉 colorbyfeliks.com 👍
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
nice
How do you have it fix on tripod ?
So should the edges be darker than the painting?
It’s really personal preference but I like it darker yes 👍
can we varnish the same way for acrylic pour painting

Yes this one is available on my website at: www.ColorByFeliks.com 😊
Acrylics actually take at least 3 days to dry, I’m not sure how complete a hair dryer can dry them though ?
😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️
The varnish doesn’t have a scent and you use it indoors, but could it still have toxic fumes or ingredients ? I’d be careful.
