    4 months instead of 9 years ... that must feel so good! I hope to have that feeling one day. I'm once again putting writing on the back burner while I prioritise something else: studying to be a library technician and making art that lights me up. My brain MAY rebel and decide we are NOT shoving writing into a corner, so there's still a glimmer of hope that I will finish a book or two in 2025. I can only imagine what it'd be like to be a person who does ONE thing at a time.

      I'm actually trying to embrace it. I'm faster when I come back to what I left bc I get excited about it again, and it allows for more projects to be completed in different versions of revision.

    Good morning, Sara and I'm glad that you finished the rough draft of your novella story. I'm sorry that you weren't feeling well but glad that you had a great Thanksgiving with your family. Good luck with the new project you had mentioned in this vlog and happy Writing. ❤

    Loved the video! Its a great reminder that fast paced novellas are both awesome to write and a great pallette cleanser if you are feeling the novel-burn out!

    i've definitely been noticing how down i've felt in the last few days. here in Kansas it's still pretty bright out, but as a native Floridian, i hate going outside when it's cold. so it's a lot of just sitting at home. thank you for the recommendations, Sara! i'll definitely be looking into them

    What you shared at the beginning about stumbling into breaks from writing was really helpful for me to hear rn

      ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so glad. It’s definitely normal to take breaks but it’s returning to writing that’s important!

    I'm taking a 2 day break (I think). I'm burned out from writing and editing and realized I haven't taken a single "weekend".

    As a disclaimer, your ways of combatting seasonal depression are very much for Utah and other dry places. My apartment in Ontario has the opposite problem. It's damp, and my across-the-hall neighbor (may he fall into a bottomless pit) keeps every window open in the communal rooms on our floor. As part of this winter's solution, I bought a cigarette lighter just for the purpose of running the flame along parts of my body. One time I ran it on the back of my neck, and I smelled new car smell and was able to take a 45-minute power nap where the outside world was mercifully blocked from my brain.
    I like your walking pad though. Movement = circulation = heat. Any idea how much those pads typically cost if you looked for them in a store?

    ooohhh the little doggo has grown up so much! He is your brother's dog, right? what is his name? ❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 I remember you wanting a golden retriever as well in an older video. Not a bad idea to get one 😌

      @SaraLubratt  Месяц назад

      Yes :). I’d love to have a dog but most of the hikes (at least all of my favorites) near where I live don’t allow dogs because they’re within the watershed in Utah so I haven’t been able to justify having a dog if I can’t easily hike with it. So I’ve befriended lots of people with dogs as my compromise for now lol
