I recon the reason why it didn't detect it the first time is Zone Alarm must take quite a while for it to re-enable/load it's drivers. If it is reactivated straight away the drivers haven't been enabled fully so it won't work. Some AVs take awhile to re-enable the protection/drivers.
Guys this doesnt have kasperksy engine, its entrrprise used to before the us kaspersky ban. Also eclypsee tysm. For the test but the next gen extreme paid ver does very very good it does better than many pruoducts. If you can test that it would be great
about those apps that kept running(13:05) .. are you sure they did nothing🤔 ? it doesn't have to be ransomware(encrypt your wallpapers) ,they could be trojan or infostealers ,thus ,do damage without noticing...
I was fed up with it, I did not find any Update options, nor Update button anywhere. Zone Alarm was weird. So no way off telling if it was up to date, or update manually. Weird, or did I do something wrong? And now seeing this Zone Alarm looks like trash all together.

Zonealarm is using kaspersky engine but in a very bad way that's why i use kaspersky too but i wish we could get one more useful feature on the free kaspersky product
bro wdym give it time? like o ya Mr ransomware could u wait a few minutes till my crappy av catches up to u?! u know, its not as fast as u and takes its sweet time.a good av product should have instantaneous response, like how f secure is.
@@Adam__1 1-for 0day malwares and ransomwares, the av needs to have a robust and dedicated heuristics and behavioral detection system, the real time protection and signature detection are useless in 0-day attacks even if they're active.2-a fast reaction time doesn't necessarily mean that av is decent but its still a good measure, don't u agree? it shows how fast the av is when its exposed to a traditional and well known threat. check avlab's latest test. good products such as Bitdefender or f-secure have a reaction time of 1.484 and 0.559 seconds where as something like comodo and emsisoft have 44 and 82 seconds of reaction time and we've seen how poorly those av's are. this was my understanding, sorry for the long ass essay

Free version does not include ransomware protection, these results are to be expected. To test properly you should take the Extreme version
Will do.

Exactly, but you saw what happened. For some reason it takes a bit to fully enable itself.
