- Today we're going to learn how to develop dramatic vibrato when you sing. That way we can develop a more dynamic dramatic for Bravo. So if you're new to vibrato, be sure to check out a previous lesson I did on how to develop your vibrato. You'll find that video here: • how to develop vibrato... That lesson gives a nice subtle frame of reference for you to discover those sensations.
This vibrato voice lesson is the artistic element of vibrato. So we're gonna be delving a little bit deeper playing with air pressure to give a nice spinning very dramatic for Bravo. So if you like today's video please be sure to give it a thumbs up or click the subscription button below. I'd love to see you here more often. OK so first things first. What we absolutely have to do in playing with air pressure is to generate some. And we do so by really activating the diaphragm. Now it's important to remember that the way that we want to drive that diaphragm engage that diaphragm is reflexive. So we're going to be playing with sounds that really take care of that feeling for you. That way you don't have to resort to force to pushing too much air pressure through the through the body. We don't necessarily want that. We want a nice reflexive quicker twitch to the diaphragm. OK. So the best way to get this party started is to stand comfortably with your feet just a little wider than shoulder width. Now the first thing we want to do is we want to make sure that our body is relaxed enough to be able to register the influence of gravity. Now that's pretty relaxed when you can feel gravity pulling at you. So let's take a moment to discover what that feels like might also feel like your body is just like a wet rag. Just nice and heavy here here. Very good. You can also pretend that your body is like a sweater hanging on a hanger. You just want to feel that feeling of nice and relaxed. This is going to give you the discernment of being able to feel the difference between using the chest or the back muscles to try to pull at the diaphragm or try to shove too much of an exterior influence. We want to be able to isolate an interior quite legit quick twitch from the diaphragm so let's get back to discovering our relaxation feeling gravity good. So when you're ready we're going to just gently use the F consonant. Now this this concert here is fantastic because the diaphragm will lift quickly and reflexively just as a natural consequence of that consonant. So here we go. Relax the body. We're just going to f four times feel that good for you. And if you have to shake your body a little bit just to encourage that you don't go like that you'd be surprised how much the body wants to wiggle about just to generate some air pressure and some excitement. So now we're going to shift the consonant from F to V. Now they're essentially the same. It's just that F has no voice. V does but they're identical in their formation in their phonetic. So relax your body. Now we'll go to v four times I feel that we flux of quick twitch that quick lift again a dynamic vibrato is all about speed speed and air pressure. At least it is today in our in our lesson. So now that we've generated a little bit of that speed now we're going to use this in a sound. So this is a sneaky very sneaky exercise because it gives the illusion of being symbol and it is but it's not necessarily easy. So I'm going to guide you through it so we're gonna use the constant of B to generate some very legit air pressure behind the lips and we're gonna say boom just like that. So observe as you as you say boo that a little bit of air pressure arrives right behind the lips so that when you release it into the you it can spin a little bit. Now again we're not aiming for the spin we're not trying to force of a dynamic for broader to happen. We're just gonna put it in the best frame of reference that we can for it to thrive and for it to show itself naturally. So we're gonna say boo boo just like that feel that air pressure. Boo Boo. Yeah. Now we're going to feel that air pressure and then relax. So we're gonna push off of that B. And what you might notice is a sort of slinky effect. It may go do you hear that boo boo boo boo. Now that is just a result of me getting a little bit of air pressure behind behind the lips and then relaxing it but I'm keeping that air flow manageable now as we create drama we want to. We want to pair it with a vow which is why we're going to nice narrow vow. We want to create a dynamic sound be with who. Now this is going to default into head voice which is going to make the whole process a little bit more manageable for you. That we're not going to bow and flexing using the muscles underneath the chin.

Can't believe you're not recognized as a content creator on RUclips. You do this job so uniquely, and authentically. It's so damn original.
RUclips is silly.
Much loves.
I've done so many of your exercises lately. They're flawless and easy and the way you teach is so calming and kind. But I don't think I've got any makings of a singer as I just happen to invite a lot of negative comments. I'm on the brink of quitting singing but yeah you're great.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR INTROOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My vocal Guru.. much Love and Respect . I found your video few months ago and it has helped me tremendiously
Thank you, this is really helpful! I've been working on my vibrato for forever and this clarified things a bit :)
Seen almost all videos on vibrato.
This is *perfect* Mainly *feeling the GRAVITY using the diaphragm*
Then selection of *Booo* is brilliant! 👌
I have two more ideas.
Shall prefer to reveal one here, i.e. *feel the sound and vibration of diaphragm while gargling*
Hmm..... that's it!
This is *similarly* what happens while you are in vibrato mode. 😁
Cool ! Isn't it?
Well, you have to take care of few conditions though.
1. Use warm water. (nothing added in it)
2. Breathe in your lungs really full.
3. Start gargling & gradually increase angle of your chin to reach comfortable angle where water inside the throat is hold by sound.(that will be approx. 40°) *No strain on back or chest position* it is.
4. Hold on there for maximum time & spit it out.
5. Try second one. This time you have to focus on process of *how sound holds the water* & does not allow it to go down. Its *finding the sound spot*
6. Try third time. This time you have to sense the vibrations of sound reaching to your diaphragm.
7. Try fourth time. This time too, you have to sense diaphragm as in step 7, but from the mid of your length of breath, you have to *increase volume of sound gradually* & hold on to at particular volume level where you can *clearly sense relation* of & sound from throat to vibration in the diaphragm.
8. Try it 5th time. Here you have to reach directly to the peak experience of step number 7 & *build clear relation* of *sound to diaphragm* or reverse, i.e. *diaphragm to sound*
*BE CAREFUL, AS YOU SHOULDN'T ALLOW WATER TO GO IN TO THE LUNGS*
👉 *IMP* -
A. In every round of practice, *spare some strength & air in your lungs* to throw the water out.
B. Take a pause of 30 Secs. between each try. Deep breathe naturally & through your stomach in this gap in a relaxed manner.
C. Keep tissue paper aside as you may need them.
D. You can drink a sip of water in between if you feels like.
E. *Always keep focus on experience of each step & remember its experience to achieve the experience of next step*
Enjoy vibrating your sound ! 🙉
Hopes that was short & precise!

Thanks for teaching how to sing high note 🎵🎶
I love your videos! You’re such a great teacher. Is there an app you might recommend that helps you learn your notes and keys and corrects you if you aren’t hitting the right one? I’m asking for my 11 year old niece. She loves to sing but I know her parents can’t afford any kind of lessons.
How to develop mixed voice ma'am?
Yesss please
Bratty nays and dopey go's/gu's in short.
She has video for that!
I never learned vibrato before I never knew about it
Can you do a video on falsetto
Any tips on hitting high notes and how relaxed your body should be or should the tummy be tense?
Amazing video. Love it so much much. Like everything you do. Any help with contralto voice? My head voice is disconnected from the chest voice. I guess I have to work in the middle voice. Right? Thank you for your time and Videos. You are the best
It's like I am yodeling hahaha
Cocoavo Beauty Hey, what helped me to connect my registers was doing lip trills and humming slides :) they're great cause you don't have to worry about tone quality and it usually keeps your placement forward, which also helps😅maybe try it out, for me it worked
I have the same thing, it was worse, but sliding "ahs" and "mmms" helps a lot in warm ups! Do it with a big difference between the notes, like, C-G-C, D-A-D, and so on.
@ thank you very much for the advice. I will definitely try that and keep practicing.
@@lukasziel.5434 Thanks for the advice. Will try it for sure and practice every day.
I LOVE YOUR BLOUSE!!!!!!
Hi Madaleine, I have a technical question. I have been trying to sing a song where the verse is quite low (C3) and the in the chorus it belts really high (B4), when I first start out wit hthe verse, I can manage the low notes, then I get to the belting part and again do it fine without any issues, but then I have a little bit of a struggle coming back to the lower register. Am I belting in the wrong way? It's not too much of a struggle it's just that my voice cracks slightly when singing in the lower register, other notes (E3 and higher) are totally fine. Thank you if you get to read this (or anyone who has any tips) :) !
Could be that you pushed a bit too much on the high note, and have your larynx raised a bit too much, too, making it harder to bring it back to the position needed to sing the low C.
Although one tip is to swallow saliva. It kind of resets the laryngeal position a little bit from high to neutral.
Hi, thank you very much for your video. I have problems with the vibrato in the end of a long note. How can I develop that? I am practicing with Lady gaga Version of Your song but its so dificult. Could you help with a video with that king of excersice? not a native english speaker sorrry.
I have an automatic vibrato, and I think it's too fast, I don't like it. I'll use these techniques to try enhancing it. 🙏🏼
Could you please do a video on how to sing into the mask?
Is it silly if you have to nod you head up and down when you release the boo for vibrato?

Hiiii I'm new to your channel I just wanted to inform you that morissette amon uploaded a new cover i am looking forward for your reaction on it so please please do react on morissette amon singing fly like a bird by mariah carey thank you more blessings to your channel
are we suppose to be feeling it right away? I've been doing these exercises for months, and I'm finally singing without any tension at all but I still don't get the vibrato and it's stressing me out. I feel like if I just had vibrato it would take me from a mediocre singer to a better than average one, but I literally can't do it and it's so frustrating. What am I doing wrong?
Really hard to say what you're doing wrong without hearing or seeing you, of course. But I would say that if you're struggling with tension, vibrato is going to be super challenging (lots of people believe that vibrato is a natural occurrence when the voice is relaxed instead of something you can put on). So congrats on lessening that tension, and I'm sure the vibrato will come along! It is a pain to wait so long and not know if you're doing the right exercises - if you haven't already, I'd recommend checking out a few different videos and mixing and matching exercises to find what resonates most for you (literally). Check out some videos on relaxing the voice or 'soft palate'. Don't rely on one exercise to do it all, but definitely keep at it! Also, if your voice is resisting the vibrato, maybe try to focus on something else (like breathy or clear tone, dynamic changes, etc.). These will definitely amp up your singing game, and also keep you from getting too frustrated with the one goal, cause frustration will only add to your tension. Good luck!
check your diagram breathing, feel the sensetion infront mouth, vibrato is less tone so try to back of tone and let the cords lose
