You are a great reviewer! Very clear, in depth and well presented. One question - Does the remote switch (srod-7, which I am using on my Warrior 3S) work the same on the Javelot? On my 3S it goes straight to the brightest turbo setting, so I hope it will do the same on this one.
What is the name of the cord that attaches to the light and the magnetic holder that attaches to a rifle?
It should take the Thrym Switchback just like Warrior X4
If it fits on a Warrior 3S it will fit on this. But I can't confirm if that accessory works on the Javelot.
Just ordered the new javalot in ODG, but after seeing the difference with the X4 and Javalot, i feel a bit dissapointed lol. Also, would have been nice to have the USB-C on the Javalot like on the X4. The advantage of the Javalot for me is the different modes. Still going to have fun with both lights! :) - Seb Fauteux
You are going to see further with the Javelot. You're also going to have better run time, and like you said, more modes. The X4 is impressive, and i felt like i should include it in this video for that reason. But it's heavy, and expensive. The Javelot has tons of upside. You're going to enjoy it.
Anyone else having 2 issues with the Javelot.. 1) falls out of holster when upside down. 2) magnet is not strong enough to hang horizontal ( sidways ).
Can you put the Javalot into tactile mode by simultaneously using the tailcap and side switch?
It doesn't work if the buttons are pressed simultaneously. The tail cap has to be fully down before you press the side switch. But you can press the side switch as soon as you have the tail switch, and that activates tactical mode.
Is there a recommended MLOK mount to use for the Javelot?
I don't have a specific recommendation for this, but any standard flashlight designed to accommodate flashlights over 1" diameter should work
