Next time a client wants a makeover, I'll send him here to watch this great video.

I agree with all of this. If a makeover is pretty much just a visual rebrand - fonts and colours, then that's fine, but most of the time, it's more than that. For example, the older the website is, the less likely it is in sync with the company's current direction. After auditing the current site I'll almost always suggest the re-do. With the clients I have, by using a pagebuilder they are generally much simpler, and quicker to put together.

So true. I prefer to talk about a rebuild of the website.
I try my best to maintain funnels and products catalogue!
But most of the time the website I’m hired for are a big mess
I always offert an investigation to exactly know what is running in background ;)

So true. And then you discover things partway through building that were hidden. Rebuild is so much better.

Thissss! Everytime I go in for redesign, I realized it was never just design restructuring … I ended up doing a full rebuild 🫠
Full rebuild is just better all around. 🙌🏾

Could you create a video tutorial showing how to completely remake a website? Or do you already have one?

I may have one coming up soon if the Client agrees to the video. To be honest, the simplest way is to make a staging site, and then start from scratch. When you try to remake, there may be codes, plugins, etc that causes hindrance than progress.

Ok, thanks! It would be really helpful to see, as I believe many people struggle with the steps needed to replace an old website with a new staging site. Specifically, I’m referring to the process of removing the old site, overwriting it with the new one, and ensuring the old version is fully and correctly deleted.

I would rebuild the entire site. When you take over an existing site, you, as the developer, have no idea where the corners were cut. It is best to start fresh.
