    What if there are 2 different types of questionnaires in a google form, should it be done separately?

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  9 месяцев назад

      Yes, if the questionnaires serve different purposes, it is recommended separate testing.
      However, if those questionnaires fall under same independent variable, you can do it combinedly.
      Hope this helps !!

    Hello, out of all these results, which data must I take to present as the individual item's Cronbach alpha?

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  2 года назад

      Thank you for mentioning your query. I will try to solve that issue in next video.
      However, please allow me to explain you in easier way possible.
      In timestamp 01:37 , From Column I to M, Row 1, you can see my first variable "Intrinsic Reward" labelled as 8 and there are 5 column labelled as 8 in the sheet.
      It means : for variable 1 (intrinsic reward) I have 5 items. So, if you only calculate Cronbach's alpha for first 5 items, you get individual Cronbach's Alpha.
      Similarly, I have 5 5 items each for other variables.
      Summary : For each variables, you will have certain items (depending upon how many question you have under each items)
      Calculating Cronbach's Alpha of such selected items under each variables gives you your required answer.
      Hope it helps !!

    Hello! Nice video! I wish to know do we need to do pilot testing for exams in a research or is it only for questionnaires?

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  2 года назад +1

      It is only for your thesis or proposal writing.
      For physical exams, you'd not be required to do it. Thank you

      @@Research_Buddy thanks for your response! Maybe there is a misunderstanding... I meant in the thesis, usually we do the pilot study for questionnaires but should we do also the pilot study for student exams ? (Because the exam is an instrument also in the research)

      @@katy8791 the more appropriate instrument to measure the validity of questions in a test is the Table of Specifications (TOS). And yes, pilot testing is also used before you administer your test to your students. Sadly, most teachers don't practice it.

    Thank you so much!!!! 🥺🥺 btw which one do i state in my paper if my results:
    - cronbach’s alpha= 0.904
    - cronbach’s alpha based on standardized items= 0.923

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  9 месяцев назад

      Glad it helped you !
      Well, I suggest you use overall Cronbach's alpha i.e. 0.904
      The standardized ones are something similar to correlation within the variables, not overall.

    How did you get your mean value in summary item statistics? Thank youuu!

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  2 года назад +1

      At the timestamp 4:38 - 4:41 in the video, you can see I have ticked MEANS as well in the SUMMARIES box.
      This is how you will get mean value in summary item statistics.
      You can tick more variables if you want like Variances, Co-variances etc. Good Luck

    what if the validity of the questionnaire garnered an average of 67% only, can it be considered still valid?

    • @Research_Buddy
      @Research_Buddy  2 года назад +1

      It depends upon scenarios.
      However, we consider above 75% is valid.
