"I'm not excited for season 2, but I'll watch it" is my exact sentiment and I agree with you on the practical special effects. In the first place, what annoys me about AI generated stories is the fact that it'll be most likely used by people who don't exactly care about writing or want a shortcut instead of taking their time to hone their skills. Or don't want to employ a ghost writer. Of course I'm not going to imply that every writer should just do it for the passion alone, but here it has the tastes of someone thinking they'll just quickly create a story and make cash with it. What other reason could you ever have? Granted, even an AI created novel will have to compete with every other book, but the intent is still just making easy cash or at least not losing much if all fails. Although, the fact that it IS AI created might draw in readers in for that very reason, out of curiosity. It isn't as bad as the nefarious potential AI generated images have though imo. That WoW screenshot you dug out is like ... ancient 😂 Hmm, depending on what the subscription system for that LotR MMO looks like, I might actually give it a try. Though I'm pretty sure it will fall flat for me personally like all the others I tried in the past 15 years. Playing WoW for so many years really messed up my expectations for other MMO games - nothing ever came close to the quality WoW offers. But with LotR I'm already invested in the story so maybe that helps a bit to stay with the game a little longer than usual 😂 Glad you finally found a D&D group ! Haven't played in a good while and I must admit I still struggle with the dice and rolling, but our DM is really sweet and she always explains everything if my brain freezes from all the numbers and calculations 😂 And I guess, I'm going to watch the D&D movie, wasn't sure if I'd understand much, if I'm not a die hard fan and player. I'm going to trust your recommendation :D
I'm so done with *MARVEL* super-hero movies! The next wave that includes that "Secret Invasion" *CRAP* will be the death of the MCU - bank on it! Conversely, I am looking forward to the Blue Beetle and Flash movies! I *LOVED* the D&D movie - which was effectively akin to GotG in so many ways! I hope they pump-out a sequel quickly! As for A.I. writing books.....I have no doubt they went into "the public domain" and scoured all the SF/F there - Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and many others. *NO LIVING WRITER* would've given permission to have their works effectively siphoned!
I'm the same about DND, me and my mates have been meaning to start it for years, we have so many random ideas penned for it now Forgive me if I've said this before but I think eventually the big corporations will stop employing actual people altogether and rely solely on AI for books, music, movies etc. How many will try to use AI to write scripts now the WGA strike is on? Probably more than we think. I don't want this to happen, but I'm kind of expecting it. My only hope is if this is somehow what brings the corps crashing down cos everyone abandons them when they can't get a job there I'm eh on superhero movies and their comics these days. I don't hate em, just same as everyone else I got burnt out. Also getting further cynical of Hollywood and their constant pushing of "capitalism and the system actually does work guys we swear please listen to our Propaganda!" that perpetuates everything you see these days. I still read indie superhero stuff but Marvel and DC are bad for the rest of the comic book industry imo as they saturate the market so much but offer so little and never let their characters evolve to the point where its decades of stagnation, and would rather follow stories where everything actually develops and progresses (which is why My Hero Academia is my fave superhero story of the past 10 years). I just think the comic book industry would be better off if we all abandoned them and supported indie creators more instead. But eh that's just me Well that was way longer than I meant it to be.....

Awzum vid. I hope they could make an AI that can help you in plotting instead with your existing plan. I love marvel but I hope they change things a bit
nlg I sat here and thought "wow Daniel looks different today."
Wow this was the 2nd best fantasy style news that I've seen today 😂😊

I loved the D&D movie and no one I know has seen it! I'm glad you liked it too!

AI writing fiction: a technological solution to a problem that does not exist.
