I just ordered it because I wanted a device of that size and price powerful enough for Saturn emulation and this seems to finaly be there. However I hate even the smallest sound stutter so I will avoid Gamecube all together since no game seem to be spared. Maybe next year we will have a retro handheld with 100% GC/PS2 capabilities.
My only gripe with windwaker showoffs for stability is the intro area is known for being not grueling on the system. There are a few islands that lagged down even on the OG GC.
I've been having some issues running Path of Radiance on this console though, the file loads, I go through the main title ok but as soon as I save the Prologue chapter, the file crashes and tells me that disc could not be read. Is this an issue you faced or did it work just fine on the first try?

Followed your settings but have heavy sound crackling in Mario Kart Double Dash. Tried to change Sound stretching buffer (as its description mentions relation to crackling) but does not seem to change anything.
Can this handle installing and loading custom texture packs for gamecube and 64 games? I see it's running retroarch, can you install your own cores and set up your own retroarch configuration?
Unsure on the first question, it doesn't run GC well, so likely not. N64 should be fine. Yes, you can wipe the entire retroarch installation and do your own.

Hi joey, wondering if you could help. I have the RG405V and I have the dolphin emulator. I loaded Mario kart double dash (GameCube) on it. I can see the FPS in the corner and when it’s 50-60fps it plays perfectly and smooth, but it dips down to 30fps quite often and it stutters and struggles until it goes back up to 60fps again. Any idea what settings I need to change to fix that? I’m using dolphin emulator 5.0-17269 It was pre loaded.
Hey I have a question, I have a bug in Luigi’s mansion that is bothering me, when I vacuum it shows white texture instead of how it’s supposed to look which is just weird because when I saw you playing you didn’t have that issue. Another guy did already. Gta ran okay. Most of the ps2 titles ran okay he gave it a 59% compatibility score because it ran most games but not super smoothly.
@@ducky-iu2pu yeah it's not super compatible but with a little tinkering it seemed to run most ps2 games at 30 to 50 fps which is playable. Check it out. He did about 50 games and made a list just search it on RUclips.
For me, it’s not letting me play GameCube games. I’ve downloaded super Mario sunshine and Godzilla destroy all monsters and both say “the specified file________does not exist”. Can someone help me?

When myself, and some redditors try double dash on opengl or vulkan , with compile shaders and audio stretching on it has a dark blue screen - know of any fixes? I tried it on your settings from the start too and no luck, tried both a rvz file and disc image file too
I'm just searching for Sonic Heroes, Riders or Shadow the Hedgehog gameplay tests. No one seems to test these, can I assume they will work as good as they did on my Pixel 7 Pro and just don't need testing? Most of the tests are just Mario Party 6, 7, 8 etc. Which is basically the same/extremely similar games where multiplayer is where the fun is on a handheld where multiplayer itself isn't. Still a great video regardless.
Unsure what I did wrong but followed all settings with this version and accidentally hit the change disc option, does not even boot. Reinstalled after and wiped settings and it will still crash 😭 a bit more complex than I thought, or I just made that simple of a mistake

Following the settings you apply with the same game, the gamecube wii and ps2 games remain unplayable. They stutter, sometimes they work like slow motion, their voice is almost constantly interrupted. This hardware is very little for this stuffs. N64, dreamcast is still ok, maybe two wiiware titles that still run, but basically 99% of these 3 emulations cannot be used. But I can easily imagine that some regions do not get the same hardware.

If you installed the same emulator from my PS2 and Gamecube videos (I have separate videos for each) and still not working, must be missing something else then. I show a lot of games running, and quite well. I noticed you said MMJR2 which isn't the Dolphin version I'm using either, so might be why. Everyone has the same hardware. You also have to use PAL roms.

Someone has never heard of emulators. This device has every emulator on it from neogeo to ps2 and a bunch you've never heard of. Why wouldn't you want a handheld device like this?

It's a niche category of gaming and I enjoy playing retro games on these devices. So what if it's pirated. We live in a time where we constantly get price gouged to the point of not being able to afford basic necessities. I think nintendo will be okay.

For the extra $30 the odin is the smarter choice. I went with the 405m since I'm getting it for $130 shipped. Plus the odin is not pockable.

Twilight Princess was deffo running slow, tbf its a super later GC title everything else looked to perform really well!

Did you change to Vulkan? Try OpenGL.

RG405V is the same, so anything you see here will have the same performance.
Sunshine is unplayable with these settings. Very confused
