It's horrible what happened to this woman! I went platinum about 3 years.. maybe closer to 4 but it took HOURS and I'm an ash blonde! The stylist TOLD me it would take hours. She took it slow and my hair was soft and beautiful. Not damaged feeling at all. And he's complaining about 3 hours??? I don't understand. 😕
The original plaintiff deserved every penny that the judge awarded. Her scalp is destroyed and I agree with Hair Buddah, she will have to wear wigs for the rest of her life
I had a similar experience, but it was due to a hairdresser than just left me in the chair and never came back. I wanted to go to a darker color. She applied color, put me under a dryer, and it started burning. I am used to it being a little uncomfortable, but this was by far getting above my already high pain tolerance. Over 45 mins went by, she never checked on me, and I finally had to go find her in the back and tell her my scalp was burning horribly. While rinsing it was excruciating. The next day when I woke up most of my scalp was covered in a thick scab, and my scalp was weeping from spots all over. Over week I shed huge scabs, and about a month later lost about 50% of my hair density. Thank you for educating people on these kind of reactions.
Just stop using toxic crap on the hair and body..is probably the best advice. Henna with herbs to color... Clay to wash..oil and teas to moisturize. When I stopped using all the shit...my hair became healthy. All these treatments are to give the illusion of good genes and health..for what.
I had a hairdresser tell me "You can have colored hair, or you can have permed hair, but you can't have both." I already had colored hair, so I thanked her for her honesty and left. She could have taken my money and blamed me for being an idiot, but she didn't.
As a hairdresser I wish clients would listen more instead of coming back to me saying you were right, I should've listened. My reaction: why did you try to do it on your own🤷♀️.
But don't listen to your hairdresser when he says you can't get a man with the look that you got and when you have pain and he says it is normal. She looked nice before and the new look was much worse.
Back in the 90s I had a client that had a bad illness, and her hair was extremely unhealthy. She had already had her hair permed at a different salon, and it went so frizz . This client demanded that I reperm her hair. I refused and recommended moisture and protein treatments for the next 6 weeks. She ended up reporting me to the hairdressing department of fair trading for prejudice because she was ill. Sometimes, you just can't win.🤦♀️
This is what we always have to deal with or be the target of as trade professionals, clients emotional states, and the older I get, the more I flatly refuse to. Let them be accountable for their own damn feelings and life choices. Good on you for being professional. I wish there was a client reporting body for salons to access where you could blacklist clients for a certain amount of time, or for life, so no salon would take them. The woman who reported you because she blamed you for someone else making her feel bad should be put on that list til she apologised profusely to you and retracted her report.
It's all scripted. Some of the shows are actor portrayal of real situations like this show, but others like AGT are completely scripted. During the auditions they already know who is going to win. It's been all scripted for probably as long as TV has existed.
Chemical burns are as bad or worse than fire burns. Honestly have respect for the product you are using. Know how to avoid disaster and what to do if something goes wrong. Burned skin never grows hair and burned eyes are blind forever Lungs injured by fumes are never the same. If the fumes are concentrated enough they can may you pass out or even stop breathing. It's not a game treat it with the seriousness you would have for defusing a bomb.
Exactly, that’s why I feel like he definitely didn’t properly explain to her the risks. Had he I highly doubt she would have let him do it… and if she would he still shouldn’t’ve.
I mean... Swelling can happen and can make your head appear a lot larger than what it is. Look up pictures of people's allergic reaction to hair dyes and you will see disproportionally large heads, too. Chemical burns could definitely lead to swelling through irritation and inflammation, so that alone wouldn't be proof of it being fake.
What I love about your channel is that you are a perfect balance between kind and realistic. You want people to have healthy hair, but hair dyed 6 levels lighter than natural, or repeatedly box-dyed, cannot be healthy hair and you don't pretend otherwise. I was blonde as a kid and went "dirty blonde/mousey brown". A family hairdresser and friends perhaps innocently made me feel as though my colour wasn't pretty anymore, so I dyed it darker and ended up where I am now; a decade of shoulder length hair. Flat colour, no more bounce, no more waves and an expensive salon visit to fix it. Yours more than any other hair channel has inspired me to grow out my natural hair and to stick to a salon I can trust for an occasional haircut. No more dye and no more home cuts. Thank you, HB.
His mistake was giving into her demands. She clearly wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Her whole "I have friends that have had it done in one day..." tells it all.
Her friends probably had way lighter natural hair color than her. It's the same situation like with Kim Kardashian if i remember well. She never went icy blonde in one session. She literally got a wig. People still fall for it tho. I wish that hairdresser would stop giving into ''demands'' and properly explain why something cannot be done. If client refuses to listen then refuse to do it as well. I remember like 2 years ago when i was still dying my hair purple me and my hairdresser were discussing which shade should i pick. I wanted a lighter one when she prefered the darker one. She didn't explain to me properly why she thinks that the darker one is a better idea and agreed to use the color i wanted. I ended up with uneven purple (in some areas hair didn't even take the color and remained yellow/red). I changed that hairdresser anyway after she messed up my haircut but that hair dye situation made me realize how many hairdresser just give in to clients' demands and then have to suffer the consequences.
There are people who specialize in Bleaching and can do it in 1 day but it cost a lost of money. I know 1 guy specializes in Bleaching Asian hair and works f****** miracles his in LA and it a $2000 deposit just to make an appointment. Their are people who can do it but it will cost a pretty dollar and you'll have to have someone babysit ready to rise at any second. But the hair dresser on the corner is unlikely to do it and should of said no let's try a fun new cut first and think about it.
@@atina197796 Yeah, no, I don't believe anyone who claims that they can change someone's hair color that dark to something that light within a day without major damage.
I am 62 now but my first job was hairdressing and have never forgotten the complacency of my boss when bleaching. After reminding him bleach time was up, client was under the drier, he poo pooed me and said "leave her there I'll tell you when she's ready" I was worried. The good thing was the streaking cap protected her scalp but her hair dissolved when I rinsed and the rest came away with the cap. There were other incidents were clients with glory hair had to have their hair cut short. I have been cutting and colouring my own hair, long and short. I had a perm when I was 19 and I came out looking like an OAP tiny curls, also my hair had broken from the roots. Fantastic subject to cover, you are true to your profession.
I am NOT a professional, however I am someone who feels you can learn anything. I spent 9 months studying how to lighten my hair. I will never understand how people don't try to understand what the process is ahead of time.
I can understand it. Not everyone has the will, want, or mental capacity to learn about something like that. However, I do agree that if someone doesn't want to learn about it or doesn't have the mental capacity to, then they should listen to the professionals who know what they are doing.
The same thing happened to me, but with a hair relaxer. I went to a stylist for the first time and by the time they took the relaxer out my hair, my hair was coming out in clumps. I almost lost all my hair and my hair was down to my butt. My heart goes out to this woman. I hope she gets her hair back. My prayers go out to this young lady. 😢
This happened to me four months before I got married and I had to shave my head, by the owner of a local salon. Everyone was horrified and begged me to sue them. But I knew the woman was a single mum struggling to work with no help. I couldn’t do it to her. Since then I haven’t cut it and it’s loooong and I don’t let anyone touch it. I found hair bhudda just after this and he taught me how to do it myself and it’s BEAUTIFULLY healthy and almost white blonde now 🥹 I’m naturally brown but have gone completely grey early in life and I’m just not ready to embrace the grey completely yet 😅❤
Buddha, Im so glad people spoke up to let you know that these shows are done with actors (or sometimes just random people who figured out both sides gets paid by the show regardless of who wins, haha), I'm currently touching up my hair with clippers while listening to you and could hear how upset you were getting watching this! BUT despite the fact that these people are acting, it is a good warning for people who wanna play fast and loose with their bleach 😂
I believe this is a happening more and more in America. This happened to a young girl in my family, a teen. She was burned so badly she had huge gaping hole actually exposing her bone. Her hair with never grow back. She was burned so badly the wounds weren’t healing even under a Dr’s care. She was under a dryer and her stylist ignored her when she telling her that her scalp was burning. This seem to be a reenactment/actors portraying an actual case. Just sad 😞
Can't go by friends...friends may have thin hair, lighter hair, course hair, dense hair, damaged hair, virgin hair, etc. Every hair is different...so to say, " my friends had good results" doesn't mean you will.
exactly. my natural hair colour is a level 7 blonde so pretty light already but my hairdresser still didn't want to bleach it to platinum bc i have very thin and fine hair.. on the other hand, my brother with darker hair (light brownish) had no issues with getting it bleached in the same salon, bc he has very thick and strong hair. every hair is different
I am so blessed to have my hairdresser as a friend, she was worried when I went in for bleaching because it's different for everybody but fortunately my hair responses the best way it possibly can for bleach. My individual hairs may be on the thin side but I have a lot of curly hair, I never feel the burning of the bleach or anything at all but she only needs to use 10vol on me; I would never recommend anything higher than 20vol. I keep going to platinum because my head can handle it and it helps with my easily greasy roots so now I can wash my hair less. If I didn't have naturally dark blonde hair, I would never lighten my hair all over, I would do some streaks maybe but there is so much you can do with darker hair too, you don't need to be blonde all over. When people with dark hair fry their beautiful hair to be that light, it doesn't look good, you look your best when your hair is most healthy. I used to be so jealous of people with their shiny dark hair, no matter how healthy I could never get it to shine like that due to the colour. Embrace what you have and make it work for you, not how it works for someone else. Also consider your medications, certain meds can even turn your hair pink if you try to bleach it. My hair is as healthy as its ever been but it's only because it's done correctly and I can keep up with the maintenance using purple shampoo, deep conditioners and limited heat.
Yes in america we talk to our hair stylists and barbers like that, especially if tou are a long term customer.....your hair person kinda becomes your friend and listening ear so yes they may suggest a style or color for you or talk about your dating life...its VERY COMMON
I don't see any problem with that. What worries me is the lack of concern for the safety of the client, the lack of proper allergy testing, the fact nobody asked how long she locked herself in the bathroom or even if she had a single or double processing done. I know it's a TV show but there's just way too many elements out of the question. A stylist could have done everything correctly but if the client went into Karen mode saying her phone call was important, ran to the bathroom and stayed there talking for half hour, that transfers all the burden of proving the stylist did anything wrong. Of course, I don't know the regulations applicable in the United States on top of instructions provided by the manufacturer for each product.
In my country hairdressers get a lot of emotional dumping from the clients and end up wanting psychological therapy for it. Some women here think that their hairdressers are their therapists, and im not exaggerating.
So... You get qualified and you make more money while making them happy and while staying healthy. Most people know this is how the profession works before going into it. It can be very rewarding as well. But you deserve to be paid enough for it.@@Jkjoannaki
Your videos are really valuable for people. The average person like me has no idea how to do any of this properly. You give so much information and education so that we don't make mistakes lile this. We have to be realistic and understand the actual time and processes that go into it. I have virgin dark brown hair, and while i enjoy the idea of different colours, it really makes me pause and think about it. Like youve said before, wigs are great, theres even clip in colours, hair chalk and all sorts that don't perminantly effect the hair.
I have to add, they’re not always actors. My father had a client who was on one of those shows about 20 years ago. Unlike normal civil cases, there was a pot of money put up by the show and any damages were awarded from the pot. Any money left after paying out was then split between the plaintiff and the defendant. They were the actual claimants, however.
Divorce Court used to approach people getting divorced and ask them to be on the show. They had people who went through recent divorce filings to get new cases. They asked one of the supervisors at my old job but he turned them down lol.
I received my first perm, as a young teen, but did not know that I _should_ have told the stylist my scalp was burning, I assumed I was just weak and that I should suffer through the process. She was HORRIFIED when I finally admitted my scalp was burning the whole time. That's when I was educated to ALWAYS inform them if it burns. 😂
I have never had a professional give me an inkling of hope that I could go from dark brunette to blond in one session. Yes, it’s a hassle to deal with the orangey color for two weeks and then pay to have it done again, but it’s so much better than destroying your hair altogether.
I feel like I should show this video to clients when they come in wanting the impossible. I have stood my ground with clients telling them that it cannot be achieved quick. One of those instances was when I had a girl come in who was 2 weeks out from her prom and she wanted icy blonde. I knew her hair history (habitual color changes), I explained the cons to her. She then tried to convince me that she knew her hair and that it could take it. I was firm and told her no that I would not do it nor would I tell her how to (she tried to). Some stylists would say "Yeah, sure we can do that!" With money being the motivator. I told her it wasn't about the money for me I cared about the integrity of her hair and whatever she would've walked out with would've had my name attached to it. I know it crushed her dreams but in the end I hope she looks back on this and appreciates my honesty. Great Job Hair Budda!! You speak all of our professional minds with your videos.
In the usa, we have very WEAK BLEACH because must have buffers. The powder bleach is 55min each session application. You can do MULTIPLE applications same day leaving the ends & scalp for last! You do each section in foils & use tool & hands to wipe the old bleach off. Constantly checking each foil to make sure for evenly ft. The last application you do roots & ends w/fold out. Then wash all out & tone at bowl. Takes about 8hrs & usually needs 2 ppl. Is about $100/hr + product now.
@@JuMiKuit’s a reenactment of real cases, no one in their goddamn mind would want to expose what they look like on tv lol you guys are seriously dumb af
My thoughts exactly. She also said in one breath that she isn't able to date but then later says she wanted it done in one sitting because she had a date that night with her boyfriend!? That girl needs to get her fake story straight. 😂
My stylist became a sister to me! I know her whole family and her kids expect gifts on their bdays 😂. It took me a year to open up to her and met her through her mother-in-law. Ten years later, my hair is beyond 26" of fabulous, I love my BFF dearly.
Oh my! 😱 Good example for hairdressers to not give in and stick to your training and knowledge! Even if this isn’t real we as hairdressers know the consequences of bleach if trying to achieve what she wanted. To say “No, I am not doing it”, would have been cheaper for him than the court payment 😊
The stylist should have explained more as to why it was impossible for her hair specifically. Plus he saw her as a friend and not just a client so he caved. She seems like a real b*tch but he is the professional and he lied about the 50 minutes. I think lowering the first and second amount was the judge being like she is at fault to a small extent. However the stylist did cave so mostly his fault and we know she did suffer. Some of her scalp will never be the same. Probably never have hair there again and might be overly sensitive to products it was not sensitive to before.
@@nightbird3839Yeah, but he was also being money hungry. First he wound up her anxiety by saying that she won't get a new man while looking like this, while he's the one that's been doing her hair for all these years!!! And for what? To push her to get extra services and pay more money. Then he agreed to do the job in one sitting, even though he knew better than that. And then, when the damage was done, he tried to peddle products to her for 1500+ dollars. He clearly didn't have her best interests in mind, he only cared about getting more money from her. So I'd say it's karma.
Even though this is acting, damage like this can happen. Please be careful when bleaching your hair ! ! With this case, she wanted a change and she got one. Hair Buddha is right, he could have said " no". He did leave it on longer than he should have, but she's the one that wanted it different and didn't listen. A hair cut and a different style would have looked great on her. Oh, by the way, I love this channel. I've been a subscriber for a while now. ❤
This is akin to going to the doctor and telling him/her what you want done, the type of meds you want, etc. No doctor worth his/her degree will give in to the patient. It's the same with the hairdresser. No is no and it's not worth disfiguring a client because he chose to give in to her demands.
no. you're wrong. many patients know exactly what they need when they have certain condition and doctors withhold these necessary medications intentionally.
Sounds like the perfect storm; a combination of an ignorant client wanting the impossible 'now' (stampy foot!), and an irresponsible hairdresser who knew better, but didn't want to lose the sale.
This show is fiction… Well, they claim it’s based on actual cases but I don’t buy it. That woman’s acting was terrible, the brown hair was an obvious wig and the bald head a cap with burns artistically created with theatrical make up.
yes exactly the picture in the thumbnail is the real victim.. it’s just mind blowing there’s a lot of dumbasses in the comments lol “acting is bad” “it’s obviously fake” “she’s obviously wearing a brown wig” you guys don’t even know what the fuck a “reenactment” even mean and going after the poor girl lol.. she’s not the real victim just a d list actor acting out a real case.. again let me just dumb it down for you ay.. its actors ACTING on REAL cases.. google “reenactment” if that isn’t clear enough..
A simple strand test would’ve prevented all this. He could’ve then shown the customer what would’ve happened by doing it as quick as she insisted. It would’ve shown the hair disintegrating. The fact all her friends “had it done in one sitting” is irrelevant, there are soooo many factors, ( hair porosity, Virgin hair or any other dyein the hair & how dark the hair is for example), that have to be taken into account as everybody’s hair is different.
As someone who colors my hair often, if a stylist told me that something doesn’t suit me or can’t be done as I would like, I trust that person to know what they are talking about. They had to go to school and get a degree to work with my hair. They have to know what chemicals to use, how long to process the color, and they also learned how to treat and color natural and chemically colored or treated hair. I wouldn’t want a stylist to rush any job or not know what they are doing because things like this can happen. Bleaching is a very sensitive process. I once went to a salon with black box-dyed hair and wanted a color change. The stylist told me it would take multiple processes and still might not turn out the way I wanted it. I wasn’t happy, but I listened to her. I took the time and was glad I did. Turns out, I was allergic to one of the bleach products. Had I done my whole head, who knows how it would have turned out. Please listen to your stylist!
when i was younger in the early 90s i walked into a salon and asked if they could colour my hair to match my lipstick which was burgundy the guy said no he wouldn't do it because he said it wouldn't suit me i had mousey blond hair he offered highlights and low lights instead looking back now in my 50s i wish every hairdresser i had met was like him xxxx
Thank you Buddha, it is what is within that you want a person to see. Obviously we all want to look our best upon meeting a love interest. But we want them to see US, and that is our smile, our laughing eyes, our humor and all the beautiful things we are. Not our hair color.
I’ve been in my salon for 11 hours, the first step was shampoo and conditioning, I had my dye removed, then it was deep conditioning under heat, then washing, then more remover, wash then bleach. Beauty takes time folks.
Woah!!! I've learned alot from watching you, and I'm doing my hair in stages so I don't ruin my hair, I'm trusting the process, and I'm taking your advice, and having patience and although I'm a natural dark blonde, I'm loving the lighter shade of blonde and I would like to get to platinum, but I'm doing it safely 😊
I totally agree with you 100%. Yes she pushed him into it, but if he knows it's not possible, it's up to him to say no. If she goes elsewhere, then so be it. Then the onus is on her not him. I do feel for her too. The damage to her scalp looks like it's irreversibly damaged. I would be surprised if her hair grew back. I hope I'm wrong.
Thing is, for most people, if a hairdresser says they’re not prepared to do it and flat out refuse, you will reconsider and reconsider going to anyone for it. He should have known when she said it was burning.
I would rather lose a client then my license and reputation. As a hairdresser of 35+ years, if I had been this persons stylist for 15 years, you should know first and foremost what her "mental state" is. He said he knew what she had gone through/was going through. He should NEVER had touched that!
OMG. Many years ago, I attempted to bleach red out of my hair at home , and I applied bleach twice ON MY SCALP. I had scabbing all over my scalp where the bleach had burnt and OMG I can't believe this could have happened to me 🙈🙈
I've had hairdressers tell me the reality of what I want and I always go with what they say, that meant I had to do several session to gently and slowly life my hair.
Wow! They surely made it much simpler on the TV version, but I can't believe they'd go over the fact she locked herself in the bathroom in a real case without investigating for how long etc. I guess you better have cameras on your salon recording everything at all times or you can just go bankrupt or even face criminal charges against you, while you're working as a hair stylist. I know that some stylists will make their clients sign a contract before performing any chemical service but it does not seem to be something common. Or doing strand tests on new clients / new procedures for old clients. Ideally you do at least an allergy test per application as you never know if something changed or if the person used any potentially reactive product etc. About scalp burning I am sorry to say that it's always assumed it's normal not only with bleach but also with color application. And it's also common practice to do more than one bleach on a single day, as people don't like to walk without their desired color. Even if most people survive it's surely risky, unpleasant and not ideal. It would be always optimal to wait at least 72 hours between sessions, ideally a week or even longer, if it's an older patient or if it's winter, for example. And you can't also wash your hair for at least 24 hours or use any product before each application. Sadly, when you tell people what they should do for their own safety (and better results) many will just drop you and go to a less responsible professional. That puts pressure on the entire industry and normalize bad behavior. I hope things are better here in Europe.
I did it, took several months of different shades of red first before ever getting to blonde and then ended and continue to Streak blonde for the perfect high Lights. I tried going back to dark and had an allergy to r the red in the dark dye.. so be careful. 🙏🏻
I bleached my hair at home, I’m normally semi dark brown and the way I did it was in 2 sittnings. I wanna warn anyone who is easily hurt not to do it at home if you aren’t an expert becasue I didn’t know how to leave the roots to the last minutes. So I sat for 45 minutes with a burning sensation I can only describe as second degree burns. Tortue, and I did it twice, although with 7 days between sessions. Best haircolor ever though hehe
While this is a (poorly acted) re creation, it probably did happen for real somewhere. It could be based on a real case and reenacted for tv. Those pictures look pretty real to me.
Yeah the show is totally fake.. BUT it really happens in real life tho..AND it's pure nightmare fuell..Injuries like this can't be fixed..And treatments cost a lot of money.. 😢 Love your video's Mr HB! ❤
I was looking online to see if this reenactment was based on real-life. I found pictures of a Houston woman who was "scalped" during a bleaching process, third degree chemical burns, and the pictures are incredibly painful looking. You are right, it does happen in real life.
I have black/dark brown hair and I went platinum blonde once many years ago and I will never understand how they did it, they actually did it in 2 long sessions and it looked great and wasn't falling out but it was so high maintenance and impossible to touch up basically. Bleach is one of those things, for some reason it sounds simple but it's so tempermental and can go so wrong so easily. If you have black hair, just let the platinum go, the amount of effort is too much and you're like 1 minute away from all your hair falling out.
When I was in cosmology school I was a senior and a woman came in for root touch up, I inspected her hair and scalp and saw that she had open lesions on her scalp that were bleeding. I asked her to please hold on a minute while I discussed the brief consolidation with my instructor for a second opinion. I told the instructor of her bleeding lesions and she came out and looked and told me she was fine to go ahead. So I started sectioning her hair and noticing more bleeding lesions so again I went to instructor and she told me to get out there and do it. At that point I followed my gut and said no that this service could cause pain and injury to her and I refused and I was suspended and told to leave. I immediately left, went home and contacted the state board of cosmetology. I had to send in a written statement to file a case, the next day I picked up my gear and went to the junior college were the school was affiliated with and were I enrolled and requested a transfer. I had to drive an extra 30 miles to a new school but it was worth it. The crazy thing was the state sided with school who lied about everything. That school ended up being closed down a year later but for what reasons I don’t know.
The way her head looked I wouldn't even want a wig to touch my head with all those burns. All of us as women know that our hair means a lot to us. I think the guy is responsible for all this. He should have told her no he wasn't going to do it.
He did tell her no but she insisted. At that point he should have turned her away but she would have just gone somewhere else and insisted on having it done so she would likely have ended up in the same situation.
He could have flat out refused to do it. He's supposed to be a professional. He knows better than the client. He caused injury to the client through negligence. He should lose his license and be sued for a lot more money than she's asking for.
Wow I feel sorry for the client.Such bad injuries😮Thanks for showing this it makes me love and appreciate my hair dresser even more.i had my hair bleached this week.🌸
Although I don't think the veridict is fair because of the way she behaved in the salon, all came down to the fact the professional agreed on doing it and he is responsible for the outcome.
Even if the hairdresser told her it was not possible at the end of the day he did it - he is totally responsible for her burnt head. I think the hairdresser only was seeing dollars 💵 and so he did it. Well that was some compensation!!
Why going to a hairdresser when you don't want to listen to their advice? May all hairdresser learn to stick to their knowledge and turn people down. ❤
Doesn't matter this is a reenactment...if she is as burned as the actress is portraying she will never grow her hair back. No amount of $$ will take away the pain/suffering she will endure for the rest of her life. Even wigs will hurt, and she won't ever look like she shaved her head on purpose. Nothing but compassion for this woman.
I wish more hairdressers would be honest and open like you instead of just wanting to keep an irrational client or make money by doing something so harmful. im a platinum blonde box bleach most of the time and my hair shows the damage that over processing does. luckily ive never been injured but I am at least smart enough to follow the directions edit im also naturally ash blond
I bleached my hair myself last year (highlights) left it too long and my hair was snapping off! My hair felt so gummy! I never experienced that and it was so scary never again will I touch bleach again!

😢
Far out that’s horrible ! I hope your hair is back to normal now
Yikes 😳 I’m sorry Sis😢I hope you’re better now🥹
I hope you sued. That’s horrible
That's horrible..I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your hair grew back
As someone from the U.S. I can tell you these are actors and at best this is a recreation of an actual case.
I thought the same thing, also it takes months on avg to get a suit filed and a court date in US and she still has fresh chemical burns...lol really 😂
I agree. The stylist is like a caricature of a real person.
Exactly it's just actors who do these shows at best of real Court cases
The chick, in my opinion, is terrible at acting too.
"Mr King" too.
People, people, people...ALWAYS ALWAYS listen to your hairdresser. When they say NO...they mean it.
@mingiinimene3335 He was trying to squeeze money out of her. Plain and simple.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's confirmed, reality TV isn't real....Thanks HB!!
😂😂😂😂😂❤
It's all scripted. Some of the shows are actor portrayal of real situations like this show, but others like AGT are completely scripted. During the auditions they already know who is going to win. It's been all scripted for probably as long as TV has existed.
How am I so addicted to this guys videos 🤣 does he realise how effortlessly funny he is
SAME!
Me too I love Buddha
Chemical burns are as bad or worse than fire burns. Honestly have respect for the product you are using. Know how to avoid disaster and what to do if something goes wrong.
Burned skin never grows hair and burned eyes are blind forever
Lungs injured by fumes are never the same.
I knew it was fake as soon as she took off the scarf. Her head ain’t that damn big. It’s definitely a bald cap 🤣
And its down near her eye not just on her scalp 😂
@@tarshapritchard5230You can see it on her forehead.
I saw that there was no regrowth on what was left on her head. Plus she had identical red patches.
It's a recreation of a real situation.

My heart goes out to the lady, but you sir are correct, if the customer doesn't want to listen to the safety issue, don't bleach their hair.
If a hairdresser burned my scalp to where I can’t even grow hair, I would sue for MILLIONS !!!
Oh, this is a new twist. I love it! Hair Buddha over here always brightening my day. Have a great weekend, Hair Buddha and friends. 🌞❤🌈
What a lovely man! I had the same reaction he did when the judge first stated the medical bills. Gasp! That is a lot of money!! 😮
I believe Judge Judy used to be that way. The newer shows I have no idea 😅
Judge Judy's cases were real. This guy's show is fake.
I really like HB he's my favorite. I love his personality and reactions to the videos..he's also very smart 👌👍👍🤩
I have never had a professional give me an inkling of hope that I could go from dark brunette to blond in one session. Yes, it’s a hassle to deal with the orangey color for two weeks and then pay to have it done again, but it’s so much better than destroying your hair altogether.
one of the best HB videos ive seen and im glad she was awarded what she was she will need it for wigs bless her
This show is total fiction. The judge and everyone on the show are actors, and the cases are fictionalized versions are inspired by court cases.

My thoughts exactly. She also said in one breath that she isn't able to date but then later says she wanted it done in one sitting because she had a date that night with her boyfriend!? That girl needs to get her fake story straight. 😂
I had a plastic surgeon mess me up over 20 years ago and l never dated again. I was in my prime then and it affected my confidence in dating for life.
My stylist became a sister to me! I know her whole family and her kids expect gifts on their bdays 😂. It took me a year to open up to her and met her through her mother-in-law. Ten years later, my hair is beyond 26" of fabulous, I love my BFF dearly.
I've had the same hair dresser for 32 years 💃🏼🌹
Oh my! 😱 Good example for hairdressers to not give in and stick to your training and knowledge! Even if this isn’t real we as hairdressers know the consequences of bleach if trying to achieve what she wanted. To say “No, I am not doing it”, would have been cheaper for him than the court payment 😊
Wow i wasnt expecting that verdict/ending!!! Wowzers!!!
Me neither
If I were the judge, I would have awarded her past and future medical expenses and the wig. Nothing more.
This is why you make sure you have professional indemnity insurance if you are providing a service to clients.

OMG criminal negligence. He knew better, he's the professional!

This is akin to going to the doctor and telling him/her what you want done, the type of meds you want, etc.
No doctor worth his/her degree will give in to the patient.
It's the same with the hairdresser. No is no and it's not worth disfiguring a client because he chose to give in to her demands.
Are you seriously comparing treating diseases to providing the service of hairdressing? 🤦🏼♀️
@@lelisbet no, they are not. But they are, rightly, comparing the MO of the person in the face of an actual expert.
no. you're wrong. many patients know exactly what they need when they have certain condition and doctors withhold these necessary medications intentionally.

that ending was wild! i need to see the hairdressers reaction to what the judge said.
They hold no degrees.
when i was younger in the early 90s i walked into a salon and asked if they could colour my hair to match my lipstick which was burgundy the guy said no he wouldn't do it because he said it wouldn't suit me i had mousey blond hair he offered highlights and low lights instead looking back now in my 50s i wish every hairdresser i had met was like him xxxx

Thank you Buddha, it is what is within that you want a person to see. Obviously we all want to look our best upon meeting a love interest. But we want them to see US, and that is our smile, our laughing eyes, our humor and all the beautiful things we are. Not our hair color.

They're both guilty of being bad actors 😂
I’ve been in my salon for 11 hours, the first step was shampoo and conditioning, I had my dye removed, then it was deep conditioning under heat, then washing, then more remover, wash then bleach. Beauty takes time folks.
Woah!!!
I've learned alot from watching you, and I'm doing my hair in stages so I don't ruin my hair, I'm trusting the process, and I'm taking your advice, and having patience and although I'm a natural dark blonde, I'm loving the lighter shade of blonde and I would like to get to platinum, but I'm doing it safely 😊
Ofc they're actors, but it's good to see what can happen in cases like this
I totally agree with you 100%.
They're actors. It's fake. No one actually did anything.
Great message for all..
indeed
I really like you reacting to a court case, great content!
The salon I go to has cameras. Honestly, I think every business ans school should have cams with how things are now.

Wanna say I love your rings. I also use a skull ring and i like that esthetic but the torqoise ring is foul though, I would prefer black! Great video
While this is a (poorly acted) re creation, it probably did happen for real somewhere. It could be based on a real case and reenacted for tv. Those pictures look pretty real to me.

I was looking online to see if this reenactment was based on real-life. I found pictures of a Houston woman who was "scalped" during a bleaching process, third degree chemical burns, and the pictures are incredibly painful looking. You are right, it does happen in real life.
love this guy! NO, NO, NO, crosses arms, NO, you cannot do it! He is so refreshing!
Karma sweetheart. Bless you for standing by your morals 🌹
The way her head looked I wouldn't even want a wig to touch my head with all those burns. All of us as women know that our hair means a lot to us. I think the guy is responsible for all this. He should have told her no he wasn't going to do it.
He did tell her no but she insisted. At that point he should have turned her away but she would have just gone somewhere else and insisted on having it done so she would likely have ended up in the same situation.
hey, I hope it helps you not worrying: its fake.
Its a recreation. These people are fake but the situation is real. @brgmnn
@@saragarnham sure, everyone should follow instructions when bleaching, so even if its purposely overdone video its good for caution.
As someone in the usa who color her hair in the past I can tell you the salon I go to in my town never mess up my hair ❤
Hair buddhas face at the picture 😂😂
Even if the hairdresser told her it was not possible at the end of the day he did it - he is totally responsible for her burnt head. I think the hairdresser only was seeing dollars 💵 and so he did it.
Well that was some compensation!!
This is video gold ✨️ Hair Buddha reviewing hair related court cases, I like it a lot 👍🏻 👍🏻
Why going to a hairdresser when you don't want to listen to their advice? May all hairdresser learn to stick to their knowledge and turn people down. ❤
I just love you, Hair Buddha! Please keep doing what you’re doing! ❤
The AUDACITY of him to say it will grow back.
Right he acts like it's no big deal
He should have rinsed it out when she said it was burning
It looks like she has a bald cap on. This seems like a weird skit. The stylist is like a caricature of a real person.
I'm sure it is! And she is a terrible actress 😂
It's a recreated case
He shouldn't have done it but he still did so he's GUILTY
Doesn't matter this is a reenactment...if she is as burned as the actress is portraying she will never grow her hair back. No amount of $$ will take away the pain/suffering she will endure for the rest of her life. Even wigs will hurt, and she won't ever look like she shaved her head on purpose. Nothing but compassion for this woman.
I wish more hairdressers would be honest and open like you instead of just wanting to keep an irrational client or make money by doing something so harmful. im a platinum blonde box bleach most of the time and my hair shows the damage that over processing does. luckily ive never been injured but I am at least smart enough to follow the directions
edit im also naturally ash blond
Oh my, how about go to the salon and listen to your hairdresser? They are the professionals, they are not in that position for nothing.
😱😱😱 Absolutely horrific!!!! I would be absolutely devastated!
I have a friend that went to a show like that. This is fake. And she's wearing a sfx bold cap.
Hb in his pinned comment said this is people acting what happened in court
That's exactly what I was thinking. You can't trust some of these court shows.
@Hotaf0Hamid I just saw that, thanks. I hate that this would happen to anyone.
I bleached my hair myself last year (highlights) left it too long and my hair was snapping off! My hair felt so gummy! I never experienced that and it was so scary never again will I touch bleach again!
It's so fake!! LOL The dark wig beforehand and the fake bald head and injuries after.
This really happened it’s just replayed with actors but the story and injuries are very true story
People may have to start having people sign waivers stating that they are assuming responsibility if you go against professional advise. Kinda like an AMA in the medical profession
