And I think finally, I’ll add that humanity is not responsible for the ways in which this world is broken. Sure we’re responsible for quite a bit in terms of wars and such thing. But seriously, who made cancer? Who made predators animals that randomly attack children out playing? Who made humans out of imperfect molecules? Oh what’s that? God. And no, sin doesn’t explain it. The condition of man’s heart has absolutely nothing to do with how god makes humanity, or the world, or what creatures he puts on it. Those things are completely unrelated.
We all recognize that suffering is bad because we all understand pain. Pain is something that was hard wired into our brains by natural selection, and specifically for our brains to understand as negative. Because the subjective goal of survival was made objective by natural selection selecting for life that survived more often. So what is negative was defined by our evolution as anything that harms our chances of survival. Then much further down the line of brain evolution, neurological pathways were favored to behave in ways that enable group survival. From this, empathy was born. As a way to make offspring more likely to survive, and for social species to work together. It is from this that the goal not only became just survival, but also to care for each other. With survival as the bedrock objective. So when you ask how we understand when a line is crooked, we understand what a straight line looks like because our brains have evolved to understand what makes a line straight. Furthermore, when humanity starts using more advanced tools like morality, we can minimize suffering and maximize well being in an act of optimization.
It's widely accepted in the problem of evil debates that you don't actually need to personally believe in morality (objective or otherwise) to run the problem of evil argument. This is because it is possible for an atheist (or whoever is running the argument) to simply adopt Judeo christian morality (so that the christian would say what is good or bad), then run the argument using that morality as an internal critique of christianity without appealing to anything outside.
There is no problem of suffering. It’s completely understandable from a biological viewpoint. If you believe in the bible, then… yes, it is a problem. That is because all-knowing, omnipotent, all-loving God created a world with lots and lots of suffering. These 3 properties are incompatible with a suffering world, therefore the biblical god cannot exist.
Sounds like making excuses for a flawed god (s). All powerful being capable of creating everything would not require suffering to accomplish three goals of suffering. Also sin is made up by religions, so a god could remove these. F minus. Try again
Thank you so much for this message ❤
Thank you for your Empathy towards those whom are currently Suffering. Godspeed my friend.

This is good. Addressed the issue more clearly than some of the preachers i watched who talked about this.
This looks like something I would make a video about tomorrow, for instance.
So God shows us His goodness by giving a child some terrible desease or handicap? I don't see it....

An objective standard is a standard that is beyond being able to be set.
If an all loving/powerful god cannot achieve his goals without causing pain to others, then said god is neither good nor powerful.
There is no problem of suffering. It’s completely understandable from a biological viewpoint.
