This is probably the most beautiful level in the game. I remember being stunned by the graphics in 1999 lol
Remasters lose the original charm
The graphics were amazing at the time...and this was overall one of the best games I played as a teenager...

Just these past 2 weeks been recapturing with the 98 and 2000 medievil games and no remaster or reimagining can ever grasp the classic lower polygon charm of these pre millennium games
@@dorkbrandon4422you should try the remaster that launched today! It's the same game but with hd textures, looks perfect to me
Sound design in this game was great. Everything from footsteps to weapon sounds is asmr.
Today I experienced something new in this level. Was jumping near the tree house and the airman yelled "over here". Caught me a bit off guard.
I used to own this game in 1999. However I have no memory of any of it. I have a lot of memories of the first 2.

Great video, but did you know that you can actually collect 4 of 3 secrets? Because after the second one, you can use the waterfall to fall back into the area with the 3 gemstones where the 4th secret is.

One thing I'm curious about, at 13:50 you arrive below the hut where you start Crash Site. what's stopping players from hopping across the quicksand right then and there (assuming they know the spots later marked by the map)? are the platforms nonsolid until the level transition? or is there a different kind of barrier on the other side?
They’re not solid and there’s nothing on the other side anyway.
Most of em are solid but the last two or three aren't. You can't go that way until triggered.
A few items (and one 'extra' secret) missed (BTW 95% of people I know miss the item right near the level start, on a ledge opposite the hut key 🙂) due to not taking optiaml, aka the most complicated path, but I enjoyed your fine, passionate gameplay a lot anyway. I can say that positively, as this level was one of the two playable demos released, so I played it over and over numerous times, until it became one of those levels I'm familiar with every inch of with.

I'm playing the remastered on PS5 and I ever played TR on PC and the pc version count total 3 secrets instead of 4 but it seems the PS version count 4 😅

on the rocks next to the bridge after the smuggler's cave (aka that secret he missed);
in the small cave in the village area
If you wanna see I have the whole tr3 gameplay and I missed the "secret" at 8:24 😅
I’m kind of bummed, I didn’t remember too much of the start of this level and in the room where you go down the waterfall, I didn’t get into the water and instead followed the other path and missed everything from that room until you get to the huts… I don’t want to start all the way over but man I hate that things like that can happen in these games. Lol
That's why I never save on top of another save. If need be I can go back, learned my lesson from the previous games😅
