We found the one from 2019, but Howie said that was your second time. Anyway, this was beautiful. Pray for us, because we both moved down south for our parents, and the asthma is kicking both of our butts. Music is our lives. I write music, and my sister, Hilary, writes poetry. I know you’re aware that music doesn’t pick you and leave you. I started out singing opera at seven, though my mom tells me I was singing before I could talk. But when I heard Donny Hathaway and Aretha Franklin and more, at age 12, I knew that was my favorite style. Being a preacher’s kid, I wasn’t supposed to have secular music around the house, but I hid it. They know that now. Lol! I had always been sick as a child, but I had no idea why. As a totally blind person, my music was such a big part of who I was. I had a five octave range, and I was well-known in Pittsburgh for my singing. However, late into my twenties, really bad migraines began to start. I’ve had them for over fifteen years now. I know that it can be inherited. My aunt and mother had them, and I think my grandma on that side. I really want to start singing again, but it really hurts my face to do it the way I used to. Now my sister is getting sick, so pray for both of us. Her asthma is bad, and she’s also getting migraines, though not as bad as I am. Please pray God will restore our health so we can continue to give our gifts back to Him. He’s brought me much closer through all of the pain. Thank you for your beautiful, God-given talent.

Thank you for the suggestions about the asthma. I have used the Manuka honey and Lemmon juice for colds, so it makes sense it would work for that, too. As far as the migraines, peppermint is one of the things I do to get it to slow down. I’m going to have this new treatment, and it seems so radical, but today is my consult for it. Hilary will be there, so I’m not afraid, but I just pray this works. I have four different migraine conditions, so it’s chronic, 24/7 for me. Before my migraine doctor sent me to this other treatment, he must have saw the pain in my face or eyes, because he felt so bad for me. I always thought I was good at hiding the pain. I’m sorry about your asthma and that you get these migraines from time to time. I think, aside from surgery, which my insurance wouldn’t pay for, this is my last option. I’ll be thinking about you singing Comfort Ye My People and Hear My Prayer, two of my favorites you’ve done. I knew there was something special about you when I heard you sing Up to the Mountain, but I haven’t heard the Amazing Grace. I can’t imagine you not serving Christ with that gift. I don’t throw the word anointed around, but you are very anointed. God bless, and thanks for everything.
