HELLO Guten Morgen simsimsam ... always remember this.. if theres a good guy. always theres a bad guy... Buffet is much better.. yah it looks yummy but very expensive.. be careful next time.. enjoy and stay safe.
For the experience which you can never find in fancy buffets and fresh pick. Fresh seafoods are abit pricey similar here in Korea I also buy fresh seafood in seafood market and cook it there just like you did, It would be 150-200usd for 1 and buffet is just 30usd-50usd. Keep exploring the Philippines for the best experience.
Please visit Siquijor island, a neighboring of Cebu where you can experience the most laidback-Pacific islander life. It's very peaceful there with a nice beaches too.
pro tip: whenever you see a saucer and clamansi and soy sauce, youre suppose to make your own dipping sauce with that. ratio roughly 1 tbsp soy sause is to 1 whole calamansi. youre welcome.
Dampa is my family's go-to place for fresh seafoods. P2.5k to P3K for a kilo of live lobster is more than fair (always opt for the live ones despite their higher price. It's easier to find frozen lobsters in supermarkets and regular restaurants). Shrimps are way cheaper than prawns. Live prawns cost around P500 to 700 per kilo. Having them cooked at the restaurant is what makes dining at dampa expensive since they charge you per dish. Dampa is for big groups. Your meal could probably feed three people. P1.5k per person isnt that bad, considering that it's difficult to find good seafood in Metro Manila. As you travel farther down South to Aklan, Agusan, Surigao and Cagayan de Oro, you'll find the same fresh seafoods for a fraction of the price in Dampa (fresh oysters for 2 dollars!). For Manila folks, it's cheaper to eat at Dampa than to fly to Aklan.
Nice, thanks for the tips. Haha yeah, only problem is that I usually eat for 3-4 regular people 😂😂 The comments were very divided on the pricing, and the reviews also totally vary 🤷🏾♂️ But I've been suggested a lot to check the spiral buffet instead :)
It looks sooo yummy 😋 so jealous haha 😄 thank you for sharing I want to try to go there atleast I have an idea about the prices be safe God bless Sir ❤
Hope Fipinoes don't abuse foreigners when it comes to pricing of our goods, make it reasonable. It is our reflection of who we are. Most of the times I'd rather go for a buffet restaurants serving seafood rather than paluto. You can maximize eating seafood in a buffer then in the paluto you don't even know if they are serving the right quantity of seafood you purchased. How can we say LOVE PHILIPPINES if we are not loving those who visit our country and treat them fairly enough when it comes to pricing of goods and a better treatment as a tourist so they can spread words to others to visit us. Always take care and God bless Simsimsam 🙏😇❣️🫰
Their price is same as ours ,All their products are not comes from manila it was from other islands and provinces,we known dampa prices in their expensive sea foods especially lobsters and big crabs. So, us here in Manila or N.C.R. if we want to eat cheaper price seafood we call our relatives from bulacan province so we can request to eat lots seafoods for cheaper prices if we visit them.
Sam! You had 8,344 views on this vlog in 3 days compare to your 1 year ago vlog in New Zealand that only got you less than 3k views… it’s obvious, your future career is in our country! Prepare to extend your VIZA!
DAMPA = shanty or hut ... btw lobster in ph is really expensive cause its fresh... its hard to get fresh lobster if ur not in south east asia 😂 cause all crustacean do spoil very fast
If you visit the provinces near the sea there you will find the cheapest and freshest seafoods. Here in Manila its expensive because they have to travel the seafoods and it will go through a lot of taxes :)
Hi Sam! You had a fairly descent meal though I must admit that those market people did charge an arm and a leg! It’s not a mistake on your part but just consider it as a learning process and part of your trip adventure. Yes, as one guy said, you could have gone and booked yourself to Spiral Buffet in Sofi Hotel, about few minutes from China Town and certainly could have gotten the most of out of your money. But if you still would want to try and eat st this Spiral buffet make sure to bring a humongous appetite, have a light breakfast, skip lunch but take a very very light snack and schedule your booking for dinner time! Reservation and paying them on line is your best bet and be there at least half an hour or even 1 hour earlier before they open! Last, ask the reservation if they are serving “Eat all you can Lobster” JUST TO MAKE SURE!!! Or else, you kinda defeat the purpose of you going to the best Buffet in Asia even if they have huge number of choices of International food but as a recommendation you just can’t go wrong if the buffet serve an all you can eat Lobster and of different versions! You must try and it will help your channel grow! I personally think that your viewers are so looking forward to this venture of yours! I guarantee you that it will give you more subscribers! Make your vlog title catchy, like “MY BEST EVER FIRST CLASS BUFFET EXPERIENCE IN MANILA PHILIPPINES!!!” Remember to prepare yourself with a “HUGE APPETITE.” GOOD LUCK & ENJOY! PS. Find out and ask if there is a dress code, reason for this it’s because it’s a 5 Star Hotel, you just never know. Don’t assume because you are a foreigner you would be exempted from their protocol, so I strongly suggest for you to find out all the things you need to know before paying. After all, this is a big buck you’re spending…
@@SimsimsamTravels I am so looking forward to this vlog so soon; I know that this will gather you a huge number of views and likes! Strike the iron while it’s hot!
Thats expensive, you can go to Vikings at nearby Mall of Asia for only 1k and eat tons of different food and seafoods and that 70 dollars will give you 3 days of good food.
man you need to be witness the "ALAY LAKAD" today .. its an event where everyone is walking towards antipolo shrine, you must experience this one bro...

I think if you will compare the price of what you bought and ate is higher than in provinces but definitely reasonable compared to restaurants in Manila.
Hi Sam...I would just like to let you know they sell it not fair price....it is too much...what a shame...I am so sorry for some people who takes advantage you...the lobster too small and with no good....too much...please ve guided and stay safe

Everyone is suggesting that buffet place in Manila, maybe you should try that 😁😋
You’re paying city price so it’s pretty pricey. If you want low price, you must go in the province near by the sea and you’ll get a bargain.🤠😎

I used to live in roxas city in capiz before moving to US. If you want seafood that is the place to be.
That is Expensive for small amount of seafoods.... you should have ask first how much are the shrimps and squid.....at least you experienced it.
Its the demand... Less competetion higher the price ....
Shrimp in general is expensive
pls try sofitel spiral buffet its like 100$ but its unli and so worth it has like hundreds of dishes including seafood, cheese etc.

Basta lobster Mahal talaga Hindi yon over price,Manila Yan pricey talaga.kung wala Kang pera sempre Mahal.😆😆😆
Having the money doesn't mean that I'm willing to spend it 🤷🏾♂️
toooo expensive bro
I think if you will compare the price of what you bought and ate is higher than in provinces but definitely reasonable compared to restaurants in Manila.
in fairness to the shop owners, I think they gave you a fair price.
Comments are very split on that one, but it was an experience 😊
The leftover food could be to go tell them
I think you paid the exact price you should have tried the restaurant of the shop where you bought the seafoods because it is for free.
I didn't know they had their own restaurant... I wasn't really able to look around without getting hassled unfortunately
Good if you eat it with me group of 4 to five person . It not expensive
JUST GO TO SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN THE CITY ITS MORE CHEAPER. THOSE FRSH SEAFOODS MARKET ARE CROOK AND HIGH PRIZES!
Yeah, now I know 😂
Tourist trap. Thats expensive
Seafood you buy so expensive tho be careful brother to that people
Lobster is expensive.
its better you choose the 40% discount
Haha, probably would have been the same price
I got scammed the last time I went to a Chinese sounding name restaurant.I should have 22:41 just gone to Hong HK Master cook.
Yeah that's expensive!!! You could've gone to a 5 star buffet for $100 and eaten as much food as you want for 3 hours straight.
I'm looking forward to do that 😁😋
Dampa is such a price trap even for locals. Negotiation will get you a bit closer to the fair price.
Expensive price not even the US charge that price 🥲
They give high prices to foreigners, taking advantage too bad
You make lobster as pulutan ,too big redhorse
🙏🏽🙏🏽💙
For the Algorithm
💯
Very expensive
Hi Sam...I would just like to let you know they sell it not fair price....it is too much...what a shame...I am so sorry for some people who takes advantage you...the lobster too small and with no good....too much...please ve guided and stay safe
All good, you have to make mistakes to learn 🤷♂️ I'll know better next time 😊👍
That guy is killing you with his price. That's too much better just eat straight in the restaurant it's much cheaper. Wow prices are scary high.
🙈 I learned from it (I hope)
eto mga to ini-scam yung mga turista kaya wala na sila customers. hindi na sila binabalikan kasi natro-trauma
You got scammed brother. But, we all did. Charge it to experience.
Only way to learn
not worth to buy seafoods there. It's really expensive. u can eat in "Eat all you can" resto for half of what you paid there
Yeah, next time I'm smarter (hopefully) 😁
You’re a tourist, so they’re expecting you to pay no question even giving a tip..
Next time don't order lobster instead order crabs it is more delicious than lobster lobster is expensive because the supply is rare
That’s highway robbery going to those places. If you do, you’re asking for it.
