Valid point that this isn't a Christian invention, as I've heard from many sources it's pagan, opposite of christianity pretty much. However, I do believe God exists, but it's more complex to find the true him than anyone ever expected, even though it's possible. That's why it's considered the "narrow path" rather than the "wide and spacious path".

@Truthsabre777 Jewish days are 24 hr periods. The third day and night would have been Sunday because the day starts at 12:00 on Sunday AM and ends at 11:59 Sunday PM. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It doesn't make much sense to "western" time norms, but that's the world Christ and his disciples lived in. Hope it helps to clear things up.

HISTORY CHANNEL GOT IT WRONG!!! Easter is named after Ishtar (pronounced Easter). The rabbit and the hunt is to honor Nimrod, the famed hunter who supposedly received the animal skin clothes given to Adam by God himself. The eggs represent fertility, plus Ishtar claimed she would return in an egg.
It's not. It came from the worship of the Teutonic Goddess- Eostere.
Her symbol was the rabbit, because it's quick of it's reproduction. It was later incorporated into Christianity for matching it with the Christ's resurrection

Because Christ has entered history and He has many witnesses up to now including skeptics! As for the celebration when or how, with pagan influence or not, again it doesn't make any difference. But please remember even pagan kings came to worship, celebrate & bow down before Him on the first Christmas. What does that tell you? That one day Every knee shall bow before Him. Look at the powerful Roman Empire how they persecuted and killed Jews & Christians, and now they all kiss the cross : ) And how He conquered this so called Empire ? We really shouldn’t be discouraging children from celebrating Christmas or Easter. Because if we do discourage them and deprive of them of the two holidays, then they won’t know anything about true meaning of the holiday. Christmas represents the birthday of Jesus Christ. Easter represents the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. So I’m saying to parents, don’t discourage them of not celebrating these two holidays.

There's always going to be negative criticism about any holiday we celebrate. Because of it's pagan orignins. Whether it's Easter, Christmas, Halloween or birthday. Any member of the Jehovah's witnesses will tell you not to celebrate any of them. But you know what? It doesn't bother me that I celebrate Easter. True Christians, prove me right. If your not jewish then why would you celebrate passover? I've heard some christians say they would because easter is pagan. Just goes to prove religions are made up... I'm glad I'm not a christian or jewish or have any religion for that matter.
