A. That nisi hat is slick might need to pick one of those up for the winter months ! B. Thanks to you Brendan my landscape photos have gotten exponentially better. Using my nisi square filters and getting things right in camera !
One thing I like about Thomas Heaton is he is not afraid to shoot panoramas. Sometimes I feel like photographers don’t think or know how to shoot panoramas. If you don’t have a wide enough lens then shoot a panorama. Brendan I always like your photo excursions. I would love to go on one with you but I know I can’t walk on the terrain you are on most of your trips. Even though on this video only your sales pitch for Squarespace I would have to rate as a “C”. The next time you are with Thomas Heaton teach him how to do a sales presentation for Squarespace. His sales presentations are usually a “F” at best. I always love following you on your photo journeys, keep up the good work!
I never know what to celebrate first. Could be your photography, storytelling, humor or how you always make us smile because you are having fun. How about all of the above. Love all your pics but the terns were amazing.
Agreed, the pictures of the terns were terrific! Looks like fun. A good video for a drinking game: A shot every time you say, "I blame Thomas Heaton". Cheers.
Quick question- You say in your information that you still use the Canon R and you mention somewhere that the 3legged thing "Ellie" works with the flip screen. Does it allow it to go in all the directions it does without L bracket?
@@BrendanvanSon I don’t feel like I came home with much but I’m thinking of next time using the long lens exclusively. The 24-105 offered great flexibility and variety there but I think the 100-400 would be the ticket next time.
Wow… such beautiful and intentional shots! I think it’s not so much that you struggle with the light as it is that you struggle with how you feel about it. Because the results say so.
Great video, the landscape looks epic! Can you believe the leaves are already starting to change here in Ontario??? Getting ready to head up to Killarney for some fall photography!
I don’t think the kelp image is that bad. I would re-crop to have a little more kelp and less rock. Then rotate the image 25 degrees to the right. Kelp pointing down from left to right at the rock. I’d be interested to see how that looked.
Believe me, this trip gets more and more epic as we progress! Who's ready for the journey!
"this trip gets more and more epic as we progress!" what an understatement, I can't wait to see the rest of your videos!
Having seen Tom's 40-minute video I agree. Great to see you two back together for a trip.
Forget about pointing the lens down, keep pointing it up - those tern photos were amazing!
I always appreciate your humor while enjoying your photos and videos. It's a great combination.
Thank you very much!
Oh man Brendan, that second shot of the terns is one of the best of yours I've ever seen. Holy crap--absolutely fantastic.
Thanks Brian, glad you like that one!
The tern image is stunning.
Thanks man! Pretty happy with those ones
Great vlog and as you say epic landscape! Thanks for brining it to us!

Awesome video Brandon! Love the terns shots!
Can’t wait to be there next year! What time of the year were you there in this video?

Once again photographs that take my breath away. So beautiful and the walrus photos......OMG! Great narration as well :)

That water is so beautiful! So blue! Love how you put this together, really nicely captured :)

The tern shots are soooo good!
It is gorgeous up there. I love that very first shot the most!
Thanks man!
Beauty to the eye and camera being different things is so accurate. That's why I feel we all struggle to photograph Acadia National Park
Agreed. One of the most beautiful, difficult places to photograph I have ever been.

It is funny that one Thomas is camping in the high land of Iceland, and another Thomas is on board with you...🙃🙃
That's how he gets so much work done. There's two of them
Stunin, just stunin 👍😂 The images of the Terns looked amazing 😎👍
Fun way to start my day! Thanks for taking me along!
thanks for joining!

That's crazy. We are still full on summer here!
"A pile of fat and teeth" Love it!
Haha
Small details like the 11:35 add a lot to the story, i like it a lot 😁
The images of the terns are awesome! If you didn't move any of them in the second image you were ridiculously lucky.
Not a thing was moved. Although I did crop a bit.
Great video! Love the walrus photos!
thank you Lynne.

You just need to embrace the bluebird sky or change it later for a nice fine art print. Carry on. 👍🥂
That's what she said. Haha just need a... 'that'll do pig' now :)
Love your images and a great video.
Damn you Thomas Heaton!! 😅
Loved the flabby fat with teeth & Tern images 👌truelly stunning environment
More deer poop, please! 😂
Haha , that's reindeer poop!
@@BrendanvanSon I know, I just wasn't being overly specific 😆🤣
great vid, beautiful landscape, and i appreciate the that's what she said hahaha.
I could not resist it.
@@BrendanvanSon Served on a platter, hard to resist :)
Yup, TH has got a LOT to answer for! ... (Just kidding if you ever read this Tom)

Smart approach - I've always found the most sensible policy is to blame Thomas Heaton for everything. 😂
It's served me well so far, haha

By day 10 of this trip I can finally say it... no, that's a lie. even now it trips me up for some reason ahah
Beautiful great job Brendan 👏
Thanks buddy!
