I don't mind drawing 2 or 3 clock with a welcome ore big welcome going first because you can pitch the clock normal summon the other clock and since you control a labrynth you got gas
Yeah that works if you are going first technically. But if you are going second and you see all clocks but no Ikea pieces. Just feels dead. And using the combo going second allows the opponent to use ash on their own turn and also on your turn if they have double copies.
I think it depends on player preference and build. From my own testing skill drain was very impactful when you go first and when you go second you need to pair it up with other cards for it to really work. Like if you flip skill drain on its own going second they generally still have bodies you have to get rid of which can become troublesome. And my tendency when it comes to dice rolls is that I generally always lose them lol so I rather have cards that can interact with my opponent when I go second. Also against certain match ups like unchained, yes if you go first generally it will work against them, but like going second they'll have escape which can pop it and all their effects can still trigger in GY after destruction and I think chaos angel's banish effect is necessary against that match up and skill drain cancels that.
I think I speak for most when i say Konami needs to STOP printing "gold rares" because they just look so bad, I have yet to even find 1 player who truly likes them over any other rarity.
