I remember seeing this when it came out and it resonated with me as i was learning stuff because Jake took stuff that sounded cool from all walks of music and just figured it out. There’s never a shortage of stuff to learn or work out. 🤷🏻♂️
That was wonderful. Matt, people in America do know that song, but I didn’t know about the John Lee Hooker vibe or the Spanish stuff. Thanks so much. ❤
wow.. first time listening to Jake (first song I heard was Trouble Town and I thought it was an old 60's song). Can't wait to hear more from this guy.. W O W
Sometimes you see a person and they explain their process and you can see them working through whatever skill they are doing. Then you see a freak like this dude who just naturally is amazing at guitar and makes it look flawless and effortless. And thats when you remember "ah yes how could i forget some people are just built different and you will never come close to their talent and skill level."
@@IdaF5I think it’s sweet that they’re re-uploading all of this great content. However, I don’t like the shadiness of not stating when it originally aired. They’ve done it for most of these re-uploads but when it doesn’t outright state that in the description, it’s almost like they’re trying to pawn it off as new content. I really hope Matt is building up a steady stream of new interviews right now to start posting after the re-uploads are done.
He's put out 4 singles from his upcoming album 'A Modern Day Distraction'. They're all great in my opinion. Check them out Zombieland All Kinds of People Keep on Moving I Wrote the book The last one just out is very reminiscent of his early stuff.
This whole episode is like an uncle trying to connect with his nephew at thanksgiving
And the nephew later walk away with your best guitar, car keys and 50 Buggs gas money.

Jake is so baked in this video

Great job, I’ve been watching your videos ever since, Keith Richards was on. I’m 65, and play also.
Be cool seeing him progress in his years ahead of him. He’s got the stuff to bring the folks in for a show
