This whole episode is like an uncle trying to connect with his nephew at thanksgiving
And the nephew later walk away with your best guitar, car keys and 50 Buggs gas money.
Dude YESSSS
😂
Not much of a talker is he
You say that like its a bad thing
Watched this when I was like 12 and now I'm 22 looking for some nostalgia hehe, glad this came back. I loved this video
Same except the ages for me were closer to 15 and 30.
@@georgejungismyhero time flies huh
I've genuinely had the riff at 6:56 stuck in my head every now and then since I watched this back in 2013, so good 😅
Need to see an episode w Mr. King Krule Archy Marshall
Oft that would be mad
100%
yessss
Be cool seeing him progress in his years ahead of him. He’s got the stuff to bring the folks in for a show
This dude shreds. I love that he embraced hill country and classical styles.
First one I ever saw way back when, he is underrated
Jake Bugg should do an old delta blues album. He's got the chops and the voice for it!
Thank you! This was a lot of fun to watch. And i also learned about Jake Bugg!
That was wonderful. Matt, people in America do know that song, but I didn’t know about the John Lee Hooker vibe or the Spanish stuff. Thanks so much. ❤
I remember seeing this when it came out and it resonated with me as i was learning stuff because Jake took stuff that sounded cool from all walks of music and just figured it out. There’s never a shortage of stuff to learn or work out. 🤷🏻♂️
Great job, I’ve been watching your videos ever since, Keith Richards was on. I’m 65, and play also.
I was 15 when that video came out.
And I still use some of the techniques that I've learned from this video
Why are we just re-posting old videos? Let's see some new stuff plz. Love the show! #NewContentPlease #LoveTheShow 😍🎥
Im in love with jake
Jake is so baked in this video
Looks like something stronger to me
wow.. first time listening to Jake (first song I heard was Trouble Town and I thought it was an old 60's song). Can't wait to hear more from this guy.. W O W
I had never heard of this dude but I’m glad I clicked!!!
Jake is playing the guitar like a african nomad. Incredible!
Sometimes you see a person and they explain their process and you can see them working through whatever skill they are doing. Then you see a freak like this dude who just naturally is amazing at guitar and makes it look flawless and effortless. And thats when you remember "ah yes how could i forget some people are just built different and you will never come close to their talent and skill level."
7:37 The look in Jake's eyes is a reminder of that Fire Inside some have...
Gotta get Marcus King on this, and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram
Great music from Great Britain! 😈
Pretty sweet flamingo
Anyone know if the riff at 11:50 became a song?
Love this
Are they both playing in DADGAD tuning?
So Matt,
Did you learn it?
Still waiting for a breakdown of the intro riff though
When did this first air?
some time in 2013. dunno if it was before or after Shangri La album
@@domshyrawait this was filmed 11 years ago? Why is it being posted now?
good question. Was thinking the same thing. I remember watching this YEARS ago
@@IdaF5I think it’s sweet that they’re re-uploading all of this great content. However, I don’t like the shadiness of not stating when it originally aired. They’ve done it for most of these re-uploads but when it doesn’t outright state that in the description, it’s almost like they’re trying to pawn it off as new content. I really hope Matt is building up a steady stream of new interviews right now to start posting after the re-uploads are done.
@@pjnugget333shadiness lol let it be man. Enjoy
6:55 is a bit like that Bombino or Tinarawin thing they do
The lad is seriously talented. Is he still making music much these days?
Yes he is. Has an album coming out on the 4th of October.
He's put out 4 singles from his upcoming album 'A Modern Day Distraction'. They're all great in my opinion. Check them out
Zombieland
All Kinds of People
Keep on Moving
I Wrote the book
The last one just out is very reminiscent of his early stuff.
Yessirrrr 🙏
Hey you should get Tom Clarke on next
Is this a reupload?
Yes it is. But the series is alive again. And that's awesome.
@galetinm Great but a reuplpad nonetheless.
