HI just found your channel - it's just so great to see English guys instead of listening to grating US accents!! I want to introduce myself - am a woman who's reached that age where you no longer mention it and over last few years had to give up work due to disability - which leaves me knackered just getting out of bed, pain just breathing some days and stiffness all days!! Have always loved making things And right from when i first left (a few years ago now!) have always done so with basic tools and and recycling old whatevers!! At the moment i am 'recycling' one of my old sheds to make large planters with door between as an entrance to a gazebo enclosure for guinea pigs and parrot!! Everything is done on complete minimum budget and slowly!! MY tools i jave are, as i said basic, rechargeable 16.8v hand drill, rechargeable screwdriver and Jigsaw (which i found out how to make a jig for so I can cut straight(ish) lines!) I was drawn to your channel by your title but unfortunately your equipment means you are far from an average Joe!! Any chance you could do a series of videos using some more basic tools that the 'average Joe or Josie' might have at home? Sorry - very longwinded!! But you you have such a chill way of explaining things!!
Hi Debbie, thank you for your very kind comment. Sorry to hear your health isnt great. Woodworking and making stuff is a brilliant escape from it all though for sure. It really helps me. Those planters sound amazing! Especially making them with limited tools. I have actually been meaning to start a limited tools series. I’ve accumulated the tools I have now over a long period of time. I started with a drill and jigsaw too. Its amazing how much you can make with just those tools
May be you could have made the hole for the drinks a through hole, just to give more support should you " accidentally close the drawer with a container in it. Another informative video Joe keep it up.
Thanks Graham! Thats a great idea. It would definitely be more sturdy. Might limit what kind of glasses or cups you can place in it but I tend to use the same cup anyway haha
Joe, it's okay to like pink... Like, seriously. I know you're just joking but i think it speaks to a "thing" guys can have about masculinity and femininity. It doesn't make you any less cool or kind or awesome to like pink.
Mate, it is definitely a joke 😂 My logo has pink in it. When I was trying out different colours it was the one I found most eye catching and liked the most. There are lots of different shades and when I first posted the shade I picked was Magenta, everyone joked about how its ugly pink. So the joke stuck and I play up to it. It has nothing to do with masculinity or femininity.
Nice job Joe 😁. The charging inlay works well and great to see the forward planning just in case the charger fails 👍. Nice to see you managed to splash a bit of pink in there as usual 🤣😂... oh sorry... magenta 😂. Keep up the great vids 😁👍
Great video Joe and great attention to detail. However, the secret compartment was secret until you told us where it was, now it’s a public secret compartment.
Thanks Paul! ❤️ The charger is so convenient haha I was looking at the space I had in the back behind the drawer for the secret compartment originally but there isnt much. Then I realised underneath is basically a secret compartment haha Its a great idea! Thank you
LunnyBear At any one time I have my phone, watch, game controller, razor, tooth brush charging around my bedside table. It looks a mess when left out on top or on the floor. Being able to charge them inside the drawer and have it close is a better use of the drawer space for me personally
@@AverageJoesJoinery Oh Joe my dear friend my apologies, my reply was meant for mexie mex as I feel it's a fantastic use of space with basically nothing lost.
@@TheLunnyBear if the question was for me you should have tagged me, otherwise people will assume you are replying to the message directly above your response. Anyway, the reason I said it looks like a lot of wasted space is because so much of the draw is now blocked off. I've go no issue with things being in the draw while charging, but this design leave much less of the draw available for anything.
Lovely additions Joe, very tidy!
Thanks Al! I’m pleased with how it turned out, the cup holder was a great shout! Thank you 🙏

Great video Joe and great attention to detail. However, the secret compartment was secret until you told us where it was, now it’s a public secret compartment.

That seems a LOT of wasted space.

Care to elaborate?
