Oooo I’ve been dying to play this game! I would want to try the Skyborne Avians I think!
I've never played but watching you for awhile has moved it near the top of my list. With a baby on the way, I can't justify buying it myself, so I'll give this a shot. Here goes nothing! Clerics of the Dawn would probably be my favorite because I always play healer. Thank you!
Hey Tim, first I would like to say that I love your channel. The aesthetic and videography is amazing and I think it will bring alot of new people to the hobby! The faction I would like to play most as would probably be the Wardens of Evenmarch. I like what they stand for and it reminds me of myself XD!
Love the smack talk. 😂 I would have to say as a Zerg player in Starcraft the Ratlings of the Swarm Faction sound very appealing.

Hi Tim, loving the playthrough! A little late, but I noticed a pretty important rules mistake that became apparent around 13:20, when regrouping and taking a regroup action on a card, that worker will move to the ready area at the end of regroup, instead of sitting on the card to come back upon the next regroup. You left your worker on your gather spot from the previous regroup and only took him back upon regrouping again, and I assume this is also why Reems didn't do any regroup actions like take the coin that she mentioned she wanted a little later, presumably because she didn't want to miss out on that worker next round (otherwise there's never any reason not to at least do a gather).

Also at 32:35 the starter card is used as a placement action. This should only be used when regrouping as tableau cards can ONLY be used during regroup😊
Dwellings has become a grail game of sorts for me. Keep hearing such incredible things about it. Mosswood Trolls interest me the most, love the hyper aggressive style 🐺🐺

Love dwellings of eldervale. I don't have a preferred faction, haven't played enough of them to know. Just by the flash of them you presented, I'll say moss trolls. It's very hot right now, and something about this faction feels like I would be in the shade.

I love the theme of the Firewitch Goblins. I always gravitate toward both magic heavy and Goblin-themed factions in any fantasy game, so I love seeing both in one spot!
Shadow Demons looks unreal. I’ve played a friends copy but they chose this faction it and it rocked

For sure the clerics of the dawn!!! They look sick and I have always had a weakness for the "light" factions in any fantasy game.
Cult of the nightqueen looks like the faction for me. Always been a fan of the strategy of “hurting” yourself in the near term to gain power in the long term. Amazing video as always, quality is unrivaled 🐺

I always liked to main Scorpion in Mortal Kombat and it seems I can manage a similar strategy with Servants of the Eye.
Lastly, love the channel. The way you present games is the sweetest of eye candy. It makes me want to pick them all up. Keep doing what you’re doing yo!

If I ever got the chance to play the game, I'd really like to try out the Mosswood Trolls. I'm a huge fan of games where you can play really aggressively, Kemet being one of my all time favorites, so this faction should be right up my alley!

This looks so fun! I think I'd like to play all the factions eventually, but I love the idea of playing the Ratlings of the swarm! From first being introduced to rat-men in Small world to playing their faction in Total war Warhammer, the swarm is always so cool!

Dwellings of Eldervale looks nice, haven't played it yet but if you send your copy, I'll try it.
The fraction I would choose is the one that that Reems was playing, Clerics of the Dawn, because I usually play a cleric in my DnD play sessions.
Keep it coming with interesting game plays. End "interview" with the players could provide better feedback for the game played.
My favourite is Skyborn Avians, the worker ability to gain Flight is so cool
I haven't played the game enough to tell you which faction is my favorite, but I will tell you the two factions which sound the most intriguing to me (based on their super-powers):
1) Pirates of Nightmare Cove - the Canoneer ability sounds cool - The fact that your Warrior can go into battle in adjacent realms without having to move into the realm and therefore does not have to go to the Underworld If the battle is lost is cool! You also have the ability for your wizard to move into the same realm as your other units!
2) Sky Horde: The Valkyrie ability: Your Warrior may join battle from ANY realm orthe Underworld sounds cool. Your Dragon can also pick up an additional treasure token.
Now if I had to choose one of the two factions (if you held a gun to my face), I would choose the Pirates of Nightmare Cove, because of the Canoneer ability - and also because written the Valkyrie ability of the Sky Horde, you have to pay 3 swords to come back from the Underworld - and when else do you have to pay resources to return your units?
The Skyborn Avians seem like a TON of fun! Also great vid! Super entertaining!

I'm sure my wife would hate this game at first, but I know she'd come around to it. Plus I know my game group would love it, it looks great. I would try out Ratlings of the Swarm easy choice.

Having tried the game out on Tabletop Simulator I enjoyed playing as the Ratlings of the Swarm.

The game is gorgeous, and I would love to try every faction here (to beat my friends a least once as each faction), but i like forest factions, especially Mosswood Trolls🐺
This is such a fun game I need to table more. Been focused on playing my backlog but definitely want to come back to DoE, more approachable than Root so easier for me to table with my game group but still super asymmetric which I love. I think I still like Root more but getting the game to the table is a big deal. Ratlings are incredible, I don't have the legendary version of the game, just a normal copy but it really is so fun!

4:39 Unless you use your warrior, as that is its special ability. However, you must first summon your warrior by: a) Placing a unit on the portal; or b) Regrouping your units from Eldervale and placing one of them on “Summon” on your starter card. But either way, you have to pay the summoning cost of the warrior, which unlocks it for you for the rest of the game - and it goes into your Ready Area.

Looks like an awesome game! Cult of the Night Queen looks like fun, I like sacrificing weaker units to turn into stronger units, reminds me of Yu-gi-oh and other tcgs.
This game has super cool organization.. in all those factions, the Stonehelm Dwares seem to suit me the most.
