Some of these were dubbed to English. Most of them are from the late 90's. And the vattenfall-commercials (electricity) are filmed by Roy Andersson, a famous director that has a very typical look in both his films and his commercials. These are from the time where you actually stayed in front of the tv and watched the commercials. Not like today

Those Vattenfall commercials in a workplace were a long series. It started exactly the same but halfway in they separated so it was a different ending. It happened that you watched them because you wanted to see what happened this time.
Sweden has won several prizes in advertising images as well. I remembered one where 2 duelists stood with their backs to the item with pistols cocked then it was under the rail comb for a patch maker with "Salverqik for small holes"

These are translated so they have put an English voice on them for youtube, so that everyone can understand. Personally, I don't think these are the 5 funniest, there have been others that are much more fun, but who knows where to find them.
I think Spacevers runs kind of the same concept for their commercials in all countries, but they have some fun ones.
We also have one that has been running for 20 years (at least) where you follow the staff in a grocery store (think the equivalent of Tesco), it's like a story that continues and is about the staff (actors so funny characters) in the store. So if you were to put them all together, it would be like a long long film, they follow the same story line, an actor quits (which few do, one has played in all of them for 20 years), then you show in the commercial why he or she quits, extremely clever advertising that makes the commercial almost like a sitcom.

    • @antoniajuel9582

Most of Specsavers' ads are translated from English, so they should be on British tv even before they're released to Swedish tv.

A lot of young Swedish people, and I must admit that I was the same when I was younger, felt that English is way cooler and used an unneccessary amount of English when it wasn't needed. Often wrong. The advertisement people are the same unfortunatelly. But we do like British accent(s), at least as long as we can understand it. Some of them are ... weird ...
Manpower is an international company and I wouldn't be surprised if they use that advertisement in several countries. In all Nordic countries and several other in continental Europe, English will work just fine. And sounds much cooler according to the sill advertisement folks :p
    Vattenfall - Water fall.
City behaviour - you pick up after your dog. In the countryside, you don't pick up after the cows. Or dogs usually.

About dogs in cities - Do not exercise your dog outside your door, on pavements, walkways, and other places. Repeated urination and dog poo creates unnecessary irritation. Always keep a plastic bag with you to pick up dog poo. The easiest way to pick it up is to slip the bag over your hand, pick it up, and then pull your hand out while still holding on with your other hand. Tie the bag tightly and place it in a dog waste bin or litter bin.

Swedes have been supposed to pick up the poop after their dog for as long as I remember, which is 35+ years. Not everyone does it, but we are supposed to, especially in villages, towns, and cities where a lot of people walk.
If you live in the countryside by a gravel road it's not as important, but if you walk your dog along the same route several times a day and leave the poop, it still gets gross pretty fast.
