- This is a $199 amp made by Belva.. or atleast distributed by them. The amp is rated at 3000W Rms at 1 ohm, but does it actually do it? Let's find out if this amp is a bargain or a bust...

Great test, thanks for sharing. Getting some 14V batts to complement the power supplies would help keep voltage. Also, the AMM-1 measures to clipping, so that’s equivalent to the “uncertified” mode of the Amp Dyno. You could use a DD-1 and AMM-1 together as the DD-1 would show 1% THD
Sometimes when I do as you suggested, using the dd-1 and the amm-1 together, they both seem to blink at almost exactly the same time, despite that I'm increasing the gain slowly, and there is very little difference between certified and uncertified.
I agree with Ryan, it depends on the amp. Some seem to "give up" at virtually the same time (1% THD and clipping), but other amps have a little more in them for the clipping tests
how many batteries stuck together to run this app. is required any ideas, any suggestions please??? I would appreciate it thank you in advance?
Bid D is here !!!!! :)
Belva is a good product I purchased the 10 inch subs in box with the 1000 watt amp and amp kit sounds pretty good on my 2017 dodge Durango. Very satisfied with the sound
Best budget amp out there besides the Slayer md 3k😏🍻
Great video, recently got a new headphones and not to get off topic but at 2:48 there seems to be a voice that says “WAIT “ is that your Director or your soundman or Caterer telling your Vid Producer to wait on lunch😊😊?? Or a ghost?
😂
I want to say thank you 🙏 for this review.. and I bought this Amp based on it. This amp is powerful at 1 ohm and I’m very very happy with it..
Overrated or not, hands down one of the best values i seen. Take any five of the top names. You'd spend 5x the price for the same power. I'm reconsidering running brand new belvas instead of my 20 year old rockford bd500. I would love to see a dyno on the 4 channel.
This is a gr8eat amp.I loved mine.I had done big 3 up front and a couple extra batteries sitting in back!!!plenty of slam for 2 locker comps 15s love loved love. Thanks for review
Exactly best amp for your buck out here now a days!
This amp should be revisited with the new set up
Yes I agree if he still has it
Doesn’t matter the dyno will have same number if voltage is the same
That shit funny he said spare part an a sticker man get tfoh 😆😆😆😆😂😂😂😂 lol
You need to retest this one. Might be the best budget amp of all times man try it again I'll watch.
I had a 2000 watt belva amp once, best amp I've ever owned
Nice amp keep bringing that bass knowledge.
I’m very interested in seeing this amp on your new set up to give it a fighting chance!!
15 amp breaker at 120volts equals 1800 watts max from wall outlet to power supply. Power supply might have a little trouble keeping up for long bursts, but the amp seems to have plenty of internal "juice storage capacity". Good performer for the money.
What is the maximum current your power supply draws from the outlet? I ask this because, 400amps surge output at 12 volts is 4800 watts surge. I'm sure the continuous output of the power supply is much lower even if it is only about 20 seconds for a burp. The electrical panel circuit breaker is 15 amp times 120 volts for 1800 watts maximum. I'm sure you could use a 20 or 30 amp breaker in place of the 15 if your box isn't already at capacity. A power amplifier is much like a bank savings account, in that you can't get out more than you put in. The 1800 watt surge of your supply is more than adequate for the dynamic tests, or the amp has a good amount of capacitance.
I took a chance on one only run it at 2 ohms .it slams and been running it in my everyday ride for about 2 years very happy 💯
would love to see this test on the new set up especially a dynamic test run
Love how ur B's total lack of common shit changes half way through!!! Still love these but there's alot of ways to know n not hook it up. Ohhhhhh lol . Bought these n dws wudi gem till Im broke or stock is out
Buying 8 jl audio rd1500 amps and gonna call it a day
Have you found a better value out there yet ? To date ?
should retest this amp , i clamped the V1 . peak rms at 64x31= 1984 rms = 2.06 ohm / 63x30.88 = 1945.44 watts = 2.04 ohm testing was done on a 1ohm load starting . nvx vcw 12'' d2 wired parallel
And how did you calculate the power factor? Also did you use a peak rating for amps and voltage?
@@bigblank69 we ran clamp test twice to back up number headunit and amp set with DD1 , here is the cope paste for video if you wanna check it out , test was run at local reputable shop also because i had people that didnt believe my testing at home which was exactly in the same range as this video watch?v=F-VAuj_PG-w
@@bigblank69 i Also should note the electrical was a singer 250a alt , 6 blockshaker 110ah batteries . this setup when finished was 4 belva bb5000d v1 and 4 nvx vcw walled clamping same power ''1ohm starting rising to 2ohm 1950rms range '' , 154.9db
@@mazda2284 I, believe I saw that video on RUclips before I tested mine. Only problem with your numbers is they are not accurate for wattage. The math for Watts is VxAxPF with the PF standing for Power Factor, that is the phase on a reactive load (subwoofer). You dont have to measure phase on a resistive load (braking resistor) because the phase is 1. Your true numbers are likely 10-20% less than your clamp numbers.
@@bigblank69 i still think it would be worth while to retest with your newer setup , would be interesting to see how much different it is , also judging from the comments im not the only one that would like to see a retest . if i had a dyno here id run the v1 i have
Thank you for the tests, great info and helps when ready to purchase a real deal.
I agree was thinking about buying it but don't want to buy it until I see a Dyno of it
Great video, I would have never considered a Belva amp without the information provided. I'd have to do more research. Looks like a great value. Even though id agree with you on the name, Belva...
Kinda would make ya want to buy something else because of it being a lesser brand without the research.
I have the OG black version of this amp, my car got completely fuuked in a rear end accident and the amp survived. Now I have it runnin a PSI 12 platform 2 at .5 and it fucking slaps! It isn't effcent at all but I have a 250 ho alt so its all good. Love the damn thing. for the price when i got it in 2k15 it was and still is a beast. Im gonna ride it till it smokes tbh
Still going on in 22k and it is a monster, I think the V2s got down graded nd shit. Sad stuff... This was the CAB brand back in 2k15/2k14
i got a 320 amp alternator with a 170 pound AGM in it that can hold 15 volts steady all day. and i am seriously considering trying this out. cuz. well. lets face it. even if this amp is 50% efficient my vehicle is a juice box.
Belva and nvx same company
lower voltage causes a device to pull higher current. it looks like they would shut down before it got low enough to cause issues!
nice!! but what was the voltage tho, I call for a retake! ur reactions 2 funny
To be 100 percent honest I like Belva I got a pair of Belva 12s on a trade and for an entry level sub they sound really good! they hit hard they are super clean sound wise I like them and mine are only on about 300 watts rated for 1200 so I’m getting a bigger better amp soon and we will see what happens
Miranda Thomas I have the same set that the guy traded you. Do you still have it in the super small black carpet box ?
VerySpicySalsa yep their still in the factory box right now I’m going Monday to buy a bigger dual port box so they are fighting each other with that open single port
I was just gonna tell you that same thing. That's why they always clip on lows at loud volume. I just put mine in a new box at Christmas and wow, it made a world of a difference.
Hell yeah I can’t wait to see and I figured it would that factory box sucks that single port just makes them fight each other
Why have companies not figured out that if they overate there amps they will sale better in the long run. I think it's because there just trying to sale to the rookies who just look at the number on the box.
Boss sells more amps than anyone...
Awesome. Can this amp be strapped or not? I would like to have one amp on each of my subwoofers.
These things catch fire. that is all i have to say
Lol you clearly never used one
Quinn Meche mines haven’t.. that’s all I have to say
You know. I was skeptical about sonicelectronix.com but they are pretty good. I got my amp from them and it's a brand I couldn't find anywhere else. And it's awesome. Its a cervin vega amp.
I wonder if good for 0.5 ohms
On 1 15 zvx from skar
It's not
@@bigblank69 cool thanks bro
Sounds like a body organ! Ouch! I hurt my belva!!!!
even if its only 2000 watts, $200 for a 2k amp is pretty good, its prolly dirty power and sounds like shit but if your just looking for a lil throw away amp for your beater, this will do the job.
Dirty Power? Sounds like Shit?
You are Assuming.. and giving a Biased opinion.. and honestly it’s people with your mindset that I don’t listen to (no offense).. this amp is Surprisingly powerful and that’s something that this video doesn’t show.
So need to spend more on an alternator than the amp to get a warranty? Fuck 'em.
Pretty good at 7 cents per watt
The power output is great but remember ;the harder you run the amp the more likely it is to fail you in a short time period. The manufacturers are using cheaper quality parts internally.
Have had mine(V1) powering HCAA 12" Orion for 6 straight years not once has it shut down, overheated, blown a fuse, nothing.
@@brandonbindl9349 That's an exception, less expensive amps do use less expensive parts. It's why you see 20+ year old Punch, Phoenix Gold, Orion...etc still functioning.
Good to know yours has held up so well. Is your electrical good enough to stress the amp?
Put the sticker on and then no one will break into the car
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Another good video, keep them coming. What kind of editor or whatever do you use to make video's? I made some videos too, but live one shot videos. After I finally figured out how to use the youtube editor it got removed. I have a program on my windows 8 called Cyberlink PowerDirector I am trying to figure out. Is that what you use? I want to be able to video intros, then gut shots, then run the tests then edit them together. On my tests I use a sub for a reactive load that I tune to the desired impedance by adjusting the port length. I adjust it to where I get the desired impedance at the amps full power output.
That's what is on my windows 8. I could use it but couldn't seem to drag and drop the transistion thingies in place. A little circle with a red line would pop up, indicating "no go". So, yesterday I upgraded to powerdirector 15, but does the same thing. Maybe I'll eventually figure it out.
I thought it was going to do 2800 certified and 3200 dynamic
Welp time to get a couple of these lol
Great video .. ! But ....? How efficient though ? You said your power supply is good for 400 amps , and it tripped your breakers . So 400 amps to get 2000 watts "clean" .. this wouldn't be the way to go .
15 amp breaker at 120 volts equals 1800 watts total from outlet. A power supply can't put out more than it's input for very long, so the certified and uncertified modes would gobble up everything the power supply could put out. Dynamic mode is another matter though, and the amp seems to have plenty of capacitance.
Ya it can dyno, but can I crank it up and turn it up without it going into power protection after 34hz bass hit whit the volume at 29 with just one click left until its clipping. My skar rp2000 went into power protection quite often before those piece of $h!+ tweekers stole my car.
Yes it can. If yoir Skar was doing that I would look at your electrical system
@@bigblank69 I have big 3 done in 0 Guage. 150 amp alternator and a brand new battery.. I guess it doesn't matter now because some pos tweeker stole my car 2 days before Christmas. I found the car but of corse the took my SKAR RP2K, my NEP Authority sub and my custom box that was built for the sub specs@ 2cubic ft & tuned to 32hz. I was gonna add another battery in the back but now I don't even know what I'm gonna a do.
@@leighpetersen3947 I'd be curious what your voltage was when it went into protect
Ya I'm almost pretty sure it got to low.
Whats a good budget friendly amp about 3500-5000 watts. I have another nep authority 12 and wanna order another one off of ebay. This time I'm going to lower the tuning on the box to 28 I think.
Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting a Belva BB15004v2 4ch amp, I can't find any information regarding it's performance, the internet turns up nothing on the 4ch Belva's their is some dyno's done on the monoblock, would appreciate some information if anyone's got any experience with Belva amplifiers thank's.
Did you get it because I was about to buy it too? I also brought the Belva BB5000dv2 and it's great.
What is the name of the song that you play when you run the dyno?
Geesuhs you started talking shit about it from the get... Through the whole thing...Wow... Maybe up your electrical before testing alot of power....i dont like budget but i think it sucks that you put shit down.... For others
i went online looking for cheap bass & found a belva 2-12" kit (BPKG212V2 two -12"speaker's(sub or woofer idk yet?) in a small box w/ a supposed 1'200 watt mono block amp & 8 gauge wiring kit w/bass knob for 169.99 or the 2-10's for 150 something, but then I saw the same 212 kit that came with a 1 farrod cap for $10. more=(BPKG212V2 BB1D) FOR $179.99 so, I added the 2 year warranty-$22 additional dollars=$201.99 but, I know I could have bought a C.A.B. 1600.1 CAPABLE OF PUSHING 4,800-5K WATT'S FOR $200 BUX BUT, I DON'T HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH CHARGING SYSTEM OR GOOD SUBS SO, I GOT THE CHEAP KIT FOR NOW!!! UNTIL I CAN AFFORD ALL THE UPGRADES! I WILL ADD A LINE DRIVER TO IMPROVE APON IT!!!
Just a lil 411 these boards are same as the re audio 5k xtx5000.1 they have problems at low voltage my re died bc of low voltage ..no lower than 12 v or the fets heat up fast
are the re audio amps made in china
Nice can u dyno twisted sounds 1.8 or2.8 or 3.5 will like to c it from some one else b sides coddy n twisted thanks
YOUR REACTION!! IM WEAK!!! LMFAO!!!!!
Cool looking foword to it
not too bad I don't guess. I dont expect much over 1/2 advertised from cheaper amps.
At 3:00 I LOVE how he talks to sonic electronics.. Bastards!! Lmao #RealShit
No half ohms? Haha
Do you happen to have a efficiency number? Thank you
I know upgrades!! Amp costs $100 , hi output alternator installed in my lexus costs $750-$1000 go figure.....
they should do something about that name though!
They should change it to Bulma DBZ Edition
You should really try this 8000D soundstream amp for $180 people are sleeping on this amp bad unroll they see what can do to 15"
alternator with 450 amp will drive this amplifier?
Dude which are the best amps that has give you the best juice on 4 ohm
Bad power supply at this time?
Where can I find a high output alternator for 03 grand marquis? Also have two 12’s pioneer csp, they are rated at 1000rms and 3500 peak each. What will push these hard? Not wired .5 ohm. Already have big three and running second battery still having voltage drop. Have some old soundstream 2ch 1400 pushing the subs currently. Thanks
2 years later BRAND X 390AMP ALT
I have a question? On this amp did u use both channels or did u bridge it?
I ask because i just got this amp today and i wanna make sure how can i wire my 2 15s
+Ryan Blankenship (Blank) ohh so it dont matter if u use both or a single channel, also i wanna know how much this amp really draw because i tested it and it pounds but the bass cuts in and out unless i turn the volume down, i have it at 1 ohmn
+Ryan Blankenship (Blank) im using 0 gauge to a distro block and the rest are 4 gauge plus i have it conected directly to a xs power battery with 950 amps i think
+Ryan Blankenship (Blank) what battery do you recomend me for using it?
+felix18ify because now i know that that single battery is not enough
What kind of power supply are you using?
Ryan Blankenship cool thank you.
No. Taramps is
That is bad to the bone.
Put that sticker on your window!
Has any one ran this at .7ohm? I'm wired to .7 and most 200$ amps don't like less then 1ohm
Ryan Blankenship well Crap .. I wonder how there new amps are
You would need a nuclear reactor to power it 😁
I just bought the 2000v2 powering 2 kicker comp R 12s allegedly gives me 900x1@2ohm sounds like 6-700 rms
Had me laughing the whole video
Do you still got amp I'll buy it
@@bigblank69 why did you return it tho? Cuz I'm thinking about getting one
I run a p71 crown vic, comes factory with a 215-30 amp alt. Would that pass as high output ? Ha haaaa cahllllllll!
Many Lexuses have hundreds-of-amp alternators from the factory, too.
Whats the song at 7:52
Thx sir
Did you get an answer?
Ill buy this amp from u if u stll have it
If I shipped you a amp, would you do a video on it? I have a earthquake PH2d from 2001. They claimed 2k at 14.4v and 2.5k at 16v.
You bastards! 😂
The tone of this review is depressing. If you don't want to review the amp then don't.
God I agree pissed me off what a asshole.
I agree! Who gives a rat's ass about the name anyways. I don't care what it's called as long as it gets the job done.
this thing's not light... lmao compared to what you lift, you must be completely joking hahaha.
Good ol' BoB Audio lol
Is anyone else thinking "Vulva Amplifier "
2810 for $200 is awesome but if you have to worry about fires well its kinda null and void
Quite a few belva amps went up in smoke. Thats what i thought you were talking about.
Ryan Blankenship i run these amps daily fir 6months now not 1 issue at all
The certified tests are 20 seconds, right? It seems like it would take longer than a 20 second overload to trip a circuit breaker, unless maybe it was drawing 2 to 3 times the rated current, then it might trip.
I have belva bb5500 v1. Not bad amp for money. 1800 watts RMS at 1 ohm with good electric.
Very good amps for the money ran 2 different ones for over a year together at .5 each never once did either give me any issues at all imo better than the to 2k all day and my wife’s car is a full skar build no biased opinion here but the Belva very surprising
i hate freaking philips head.. wtf.. they cam out like no other.. hex for the win. i replace EVERY philips head set screw with hex ones :o The whole "the remote wire already looks stripped" is exactly why.
thinking mr. first owner swapped out the hardware hence it came with hex keys... but got me.
Remote wires need to be stripped, otherwise the plastic insulation keeps the juice from flowing.
The hex keys were more then likely for the fuse holder not the amp
That stop sheet is Belva's excuse to not honor the warranty. They know that anyone buying their equipment is an audio noob who has no idea what a big 3 upgrade is. Another dishonest car audio company doing everything they can to rip off their customers. BOOOOO!!!
Well I can't say I blame them... if you connect this amp to a stock electrical system and it blows up, it is not the fault of the amp.
Scott Reynolds I hooked this amp up on stock Electrical.. but I have 2 batteries and NVX Hybrid capacitor.. My subs is wired down to 1 ohm and I run this amp around 1900 Watts..
I also have the Big 3.. this amp pounds and I’m more then satisfied with it.
less cousin be nice
\
You should stay off your dads RUclips account and download RUclips for kids app! 🤱👼😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 same shame...
Ladies ladies remember you can only play that amp for how long before it catches fire?? $200 is how much one of my crossovers for my mids/highs... don’t cheap out with bogus ass amps... and next you gotta upgrade your electrical before posting videos on how well a amp does! That’s like false advertisement
Do you believe manufacturers intentionally sell amplifiers that are supposed to catch fire? I kinda' doubt that. They sell amps that will do (or almost) what they are supposed to do if you have the brains to install and use them correctly. Unfortunately, if an amp is designed to run at 4 ohms some young dumbass just has to run it at 2 ohms, if it's designed to run at 2 ohms some young dumbass has to run it at 1 ohm.
vintage stereo buff I do 155+ on a single Neo.. sorry bud it sucks to see everyone given false advice.. I’ll see you in the lanes with your PROPER install
All I'm saying is that a person just needs to use an amp as the manufacturer intended, and there shouldn't be a risk of fire. Nobody wants a class action lawsuit against their company.
How's it a 'bogus ass amp'? You're just jealous you spent tons of money for name brand gear when other companies are making the same watts (albeit over-inflated advertising ratings) at a fraction of the cost of the more established companies. So you can take your cool little Sundown subwoofer and shove it where the sundown don't shine! Thumbs up for Boss, Belva, Dual, etc etc because those other companies have been eye-gouging the consumers for long enough!!! Don't be mad and hating because now everyone can ball on a budget. :)
oh wow an idiot with money
You need to learn how to place a camera so everyone can see what your talking about you had the amp so out of frame that I couldn't see anything
