Wood is more porous than bricks and a lot more than metal. The glue is able to seep in a significant amount more, plus its a more structurally useful surface, uniform, mostly flat, with a lot of uniform grooves to grab on to. Its a very good material for glue, and less useful than metal for use with nails, as it can splinter, metal can’t, but metal cannot be glued reliably being completely impervious to seepage, and a very slick surface. The more you know!

I was thinking something similar. Actual glue (hide, bone or horn glue made from animals and the word glue is derived from the word gelatin) is pretty rare these days. Categories of adhesives are PVA (Elmer's white and carpenters/wood glue), CA (cyanoacrylates, Super/Crazy Glue), solvent based (Liquid Nails, construction, E6000), epoxy (2 parts mixed together react with each other) and PU (polyurethane, original Gorilla Glue). There are also latex adhesives, acrylic resin (used for fiberglass and casting), mucilage and school/flour/starch paste (the other two water based school glues), spirit gum (similar to mucilage but alcohol based and used to attach theatrical appliances like hair, scars or horns to skin), silicones and of course hot melt, but I don't think any of those were represented here. Some categories are absolutely not compatible. e.g. CA with PVA adhesives which contain water, and will make the CA adhesives set immediately. Gorilla Glue is also water activated but would probably have some working time. I don't know whether epoxies are compatible with other types but the two parts should be mixed thoroughly before mixing with other types. They probably wouldn't work well with water based adhesives. Could also try mixing resin from one brand with hardener from other brand and vice versa but some brands only call them part A and part B so that could be tricky. I don't think water based adhesives (PVA and latex) would work well with solvent based adhesives, but some combinations might work OK. I could go on and on, but I'm afraid I'm getting close to chart territory...

Elite Zararus it’s a lot more than “wood” glue or “metal” glue. It’s the base the glue is made of, for example flex glue and e6000 are silicone based glued while epoxy is not. Elmer’s glue, gorilla glue white are water based adhesives. Straight gorilla wood glue is a foaming urethane base. A lot of interfering chemistry as water and petroleum based products will inhibit the curing of silicone RTV (any one or 2 part room temp curing silicone product) water based glues are inhibited by water(in too large of a quantity)and petroleum based products.

When you find out you can't stand because the sheer weight of gravity on your puny self and it causes the the glue bottle to not only be immovable, but would even be able to crush you.
The reason why a lot of different glues don't work well is because they get in each other's way. Adhesives work by creating a uniform binding force. The use of epoxies with liquid glues will also explain the chunkiness of it after its mixed. The bricks and the metal work less effectively because the have less surface area than the wood. Different chemicals reacting with a lot of chemicals it wasn't designed for. The pull apart test shows how the wood supports more, if you look as he put it together, a lot of the glue was forced out, only leaving the majority of the thinner and runnier glues that could get into the small pockets in the wood's surface, like interlocking fingers.
I remember when you only got a few thousand views per video. I've been subscribed since around 2000 subs and I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to get the t-shirt!

All I gotta say is, that's a lot of damage.
I was going to comment that too oml
Omega lol
But "No long term damage" (only beasts are gonna get this)
Luke Weatherly its "No long term damage"
Alex, play Chime & Lost Vegas - Damage.
Tyler, this video is cool and great and you might not see my comment, but i think if you added like maybe 10 types of wood only glue and tried it on wood and metal, and then took 10 glues only for metal and tried them on wood too. too see if there is a good result or not. it would make for a pretty sick video
@@SeptrothFFXI I just saw a lot of fancy words and not one of them made sense to me. This coming from someone who had been nicknamed walking dictionary and Wikipedia

No it won't... You'll be fine, people lose interest in each other the sooner you accept that the sooner you'll be better off
Maybe the fumes from all those chemicals will make them forget their problems for a while.
That’s the tea sis
I've been here since around 2k subs and it's been so fun watching you learn and grow as a content creator. Your editing skills and charisma in front of the camera have grown immensely.
My girlfriend and I watch all of your videos you release as you seem like a kind guy just trying to have fun, and your artistic growth is visible with every new video.
I look forward to all the videos you make in the future, Tyler.

Bravo my dude.
when you find out elmers glue can lift more than you.
when you find out glue can pick you up
Ha good one man
When you find out you can't stand because the sheer weight of gravity on your puny self and it causes the the glue bottle to not only be immovable, but would even be able to crush you.
Doesn't feel surprising to me lol, I can't lift much unlike many others my age.

180 pounds!?!?, I thought that it would break at 40!
I NOW PRESENT TO TO YOU
TYLER WOOD GLUE
NuclearDoomKhajiit g
Tyler: this is gonna make it 30lbs....
Glued bricks: "NOPE"
He's getting too smart we must stop him
Jesus Christ...
It's Jason Bourne!
When I read that the video was paused on a goofy smile into the camera
I was worried for a bit that you might not have had elmers glue
We were worried if elmers glue was stronger than you
Same
Elmers is the strongest glie ever cant change my mind
Paper Mario same
I feel like that glue dried WAY faster than the other glues. That was probably the biggest problem.
I remember when you only got a few thousand views per video. I've been subscribed since around 2000 subs and I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to get the t-shirt!
