Gotta love min 13, when the grey haired spooky man wispering strange things you don't hear while shooting at something you don't see. To me it was totally funny XD. Nix für ungut Armin ;-)
Beautiful and fast bow! However, I definitely notice a familiar “clink” sound when you shoot this bow. It sounds exactly the same when I shoot my Ákos “Turkish” bow model. That “clink” sound is the arrow in contact with a very hard arrow pass when releasing the arrow. Even doing khatra I get this “clink” noise with my Ákos bow which has a hard wood arrow pass. My Spearman “Ming Emperor” model bow doesn’t make this “clink” sound upon arrow release because it has a gently sanded ray skin arrow pass. All EuroAsiatic bow makers should definitely consider placing a ray skin or thick quality leather insert at the arrow pass to help mitigate this “clinking” sound upon arrow release. It will add to a more pleasant experience shooting a bow. I also shoot a AF “Turkish” model bow which has what appears a soft white plastic insert at the arrow pass, this type of arrow pass is fairly quiet, but not as good a ray skin. Just trying to help from my experiences. Thanks again Senpai Hirmer for another great bow review!
Great bow and a great review as usual 😁 I have an idea. Instead of shooting different arrow weights for the speed test, shoot a recommend weight arrow at 28" vs the maximum draw. As this is indicated on the bow always. Makes sense to me 😁
I might agree on that one, a good suggestion. While the different weight arrows show the behavior and/or limitations of the bow, shooting the 'recomended', or 'optimal' wight arrow @ 28" versus max. draw could add some nice toutch to the review. Armin, plz give it a shot, just to see how it works out :)
First of all I've learned a lot watching your videos, so thanks for what you do! My wife is considering getting a bow at some point and had a draw length of roughly 25 inches. Would this bow be appropriate for her draw length? She's more interested in traditional style bows.
Ohh I've been awake. When they come for me they better bring a whip and a chair🐯😂 Such a pretty one, prettier than my Janissary by far but could do without a welt on my wrist. As with anything else though if you get burned a few times you figure out a way. I love short bows, this one looks like fun. Glad you got your equipment back Armin! We missed you.
Nice little bow! Armin, could you make a short review of several different bow types with the same poundage and same draw length to measure the speed with 10 gpp arrows?
I was thinking of getting myself a turkis style bow, so far I've been leaning towards Jackal's Akinji... now I'm not so sure anymore 🤣 decisions.. decisions.. Btw Armin, I'm designing a low profile quiver, similar in appearance to the one you have there, I'd be happy to send you a copy when I'm finished.
Mr. Hirmer, I am planning to 3D-print my first thumb ring for me. I have never used one before and was wondering if you recommend the ring having a string groove or not? I have seen both types on the internet.
as a hungarian, i am gladly helping to pronounce well, the bowmakers name correctly> he is pronounced in english way as Laslow Farmoshi, Grozer is just Grozer, Istvan Vegh is Ishtvan Veigh, Peter Bogar is Peiter(not like german "ei") Bogaar. I know, it is secondary stuff compared to the actual bows, but as a hungarian it still poking me a bit, everytime i pick up my head, like "what"
I think laminated short bows are really fun. Lots of power in a small package, and personally they just feel faster. There are plenty that do 30 inches or more.
Lots of people aren't that tall, and even if you are, there are advantages to having something smaller and easier to handle. Also, it isn't really "necessary" to make any bows, other than a basic hunting tool if you need it. Bowyers make bows and archers buy the ones they like, just like everything else.
Oh wow... I love the look... And 43 lbs is exactly what I was thinking is good for me
Looks more like a short Assyrian bow with Turkish-style siyah. But man, was that finishing beautiful...
With the big string stops and heavy siyahs I thought it looked like a short Manchu or Mongolian bow
Definitely waiting for the longest one

Subtle and elegant intro Sir.
Haha thank you
What's the issue with "so"? Great video by the way. Love the split screen shooting.
Some people need to find something to complain, a few said that my SO is bugging them :) not that I overly care hahaha

That's fantastic🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Great looking bow! I bet if you increased the brace height a bit....it would make less noise and probably stop hitting your arm 👍
yeah 0.2" according to the bowbuilder more would be in the range
@@ArminHirmer hey😀.2" more might just be the ticket....
Gorgeous bow. Great review.
never been so early before, usually youtube dont give me notification

Beautiful bow. Perhaps it's my headphones, but is it louder than usual?
Many were complaining that it is low volume :)

Decisions hahaha yeah I know. Would be my honor to test your quiver
Are there longer versions of this bow? Like a large version?
yes
I love the quiver, please I can get the link to buy it?😊
Check on AliExpress phone belt pouches or so
@@ArminHirmer found it! Thanks!👍
i kinda like the idea of a short but powerful bow, also what are those long feather arrows you're using?
Turkish military style
Very nice looking bow! Thank you for sharing this review with us. Armin, please post a link for your onlyfans page. 😄👍

with groove makes your life easier
it's not very often that you mention that there's a string slap
I know did not happen since a while

Cześć,
All are minis except the sound!
I wonder why is it necessary to make such short bows? I mean we're all adults here and quite taller in general than people were 500 years ago.
because its fun and it works even after 500 years :)

@@kgcote I'm one of them, 25 inch 3 under to corner of mouth or 31 with thumb & a floating anchor. Guess which one I prefer👍
Pretty bow but to loud for me.

Small bow.
