You are so right about the routine and exercise. When I was psychotic, for some reason riding my bicycle and playing solo basketball was kind of like a pause from the delusions and the "quest to truth". It was honestly very relaxing. Thank you for making this video!
I feel you on the isolation. After my psychosis I completely isolated myself for a long time. It took me about a year to recover from my worst psychosis. I felt so ashamed and lost some friends that I thought were my friends, but they weren't really. My psychosis was on complete display on my social media story. I posted videos of myself acting psychotic and many people I knew saw it. How embarrassing
Something similar happened to me too I posted on social media and a lot of people I knew sow it. Now I’m to embarrassed to approach the people who sow my psychosis display on social media.
Thank you! My son is going through this out of no where. Im gonna show him this video to contribute to his recovery, to show him that it is possible to get back to his life ❤❤❤Your amazing and thanks for sharing🙏🏿
Then I heard a new sound: a living sound, like the richest, most complex, most beautiful piece of music you've ever heard. Growing in volume as a pure white light descended, it obliterated the monotonous mechanical pounding that, seemingly for eons, had been my only company up until then. The light got closer and closer, spinning around and around and generating those filaments of pure white light that I now saw were tinged, here and there, with hints of gold.
I just had my son put in the hospital for the 3rd time in 2 1/2 years... I pray he "hears and accepts" this time.. I appreciate those who shared their stories, for if they had not, I wouldn't have any idea what's going on..
You're very brave to come forward I had this and is was very difficult for me to talk about it I'm ok now haven't had another episode mine was pretty bad excercise has helped me and terapy along with medication sleep depravation was one of the reasons I had that
Thanks for this video. I was still having symptoms for like a month after my drug induced psychosis (which was my 2nd one) in December. Even 3 months on I still get confused thoughts but I've been able to sleep more with supplements. I've had to switch anti-psychotics a few times due to bad akathisia. Currently doing a lot of mindfulness meditation and waiting for the snow to melt so I can go back to work. Shoveling dirt helps me think about nothing.
How destructive was your episode? I’ve been dwelling on shame and embarrassment. I lost most people I was close to. Also lost my position in a small company I was taking part in building….
I lost a lot of friends and really felt embarrassed and ashamed of myself for quite sometime. But I tried to accept it as something that needed to happen.
I also lost a lot of friends and important people in my life I was close to from my psychosis. I held onto that pain for years. The ones who really love you will stick with you.
I am planning on using gabapentin to get off weak opiates. Even though weak, still need help with withdrawal. How long can i take Gabapentin until physical dependent?
Great video, I had a bad experience from smoking weed I did not have delusions or hallucinations but am just anxious all the time as a result of this experience and since then I have been wondering if I messed up my brain chemistry and also I do question my reality alot with alot of what's if/is this just a really bad weed trip or is this phychosis/it's been 11 years since this experience I just feel mentally numb and trap in my thoughts.
so you believe that this weed trip 11 years ago has still contributed to your current state of mind? I hope mine ends sooner. I hope you are doing better. Know of any supplements that can help in the mean time?

I knew I was psychotic due to my circumstance and the way I was sort of out of control to my normal self. People helped guide me back to normalcy for the time being but the symptoms lasted a long long time- months. I quit all drugs including caffeine for several months. Then I later got on an antidepressant.
