Going on 10 years since i replaced brake pads and roters on my 2002 s10 ext cab 4.3. The brakes still work great.

There’s no reason to use that much grease my man. Pack the bearings, LIGHT film on the spindle and bearing races and that’s all you need.

I would say that brake fluid is very needed to replace urgently....
Please use a kneeling pad to protect your knees.
I didn't and I damaged my knees already.
Just wanted to let everyone know, this video is legit and helped just to know the right tool to remove the caliper bolts. I have watched many others and they are not accurate bolts the come in the brake calipers. All I needed to do is change my brake pads, but this video covers everything. A+ Bro. Great job on the video...

That dust cap is a real SoB. I would imagine full time mechanics would just whack it off and replace it every time.
I'm concerned about all the oil you get on your bare hands (cancer risk over years of exposure). I known a lot of mechanics still don't like gloves.
Why the 18mm spanner size? Never seen one of them as there are no M nut sizes that are 18mm. M10 = 17mm M12 = 19mm. Ain't no M11 nuts around.

I just recently got rid of my 94 s10 pickup extended cab rwd open diff I got it like junior or senior year of highschool seeing you change the front rotor/hubs brought back memories lol I did all my brake work myself and it was my first truck that I did the work on I miss it cause it was the perfect size to just haul different shit I never towed with it but I helped my sister and her boyfriend renovate their first restaurant with it ( hauling supplies, scaffolding etc) oh well.

Kimchi - what is it about pickled cabbage?!? LOVE it. A couple of things. I too installed the BrakeStop slotted and they've lasted almost 6yrs. SO worth it. Have a 03 Extended cab w/400k+ trying to get it to retirement and then a HUGE rebuild to get it back to the original condition. LOVE THAT TRUCK - we've been to hell and back numerous times and they don't make small trucks like the S10 anymore. Came on to get a 'refresher' and THIS VIDEO FAR EXCEEDS any other. Simple and TO THE POINT! GREAT JOB!!! btw I've done the brakes quite a few times and always just hung the caliper by the hose (yikes!!!) and not smart enough to go grab a bungee cord (have THOUSANDS). OMG that was priceless for me - TOTALLY forgot what I bought all those cords FOR!!!!!!!!!!
