They love the River Cats, but that's the Giants AAA team. Half the city is either transplants from elsewhere in the state (especially Bay Area people who moved looking for cheaper housing) or immigrants from other countries who arent as often into local sports. Also the A's aren't even gonna be there long enough, to Sacramento they're just a placeholder, somewhere for the team to sleep on the couch for a bit The point really is just that Fisher is a spineless coward.
