    I am just starting Macrame. This is the perfect starting project for me. It reminds me of the "Flower of Life". I haven't looked @ your videos yet but I hope that you have a macrame jar heart-shaped cover xx Thank you soooo much for sharing this with us all!

      Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate that! Unfortunately I haven't done a heart shaped cover but this is a great idea to tackle in the near future.

    So I started this but got lost when it came to adding in the longest string of the anchor cord to finish out the jar. Was I suppose to use the two cords from the anchor cord at the beginning as working cords and tie those with the square knots too, or leave them alone until the end? Thanks!

    • @lovefordiy
      @lovefordiy  2 года назад

      Yes, you are supposed to use the two cords from the anchor cord at the beginning as working cords and tie those with the square knots too. Thank you for watching!

    I have a large pickle jar (one gallon), and just ordered 3 mm rope. I have 4 mm, but is that too big for this, using a one gallon jar?

    • @lovefordiy
      @lovefordiy  Год назад +1

      I would go with the 3 mm rope. I hope it turns out as you've imagined! Thanks for watching!🥰

    I'm in the middle of making this now and the only thing I'm confused about is the anchor cord. I'm guessing I'm supposed to put another string with it and continue the pattern with that anchor cord but it's a little confusing and as far as I know you don't say anything about how to do that part so I'll just figure it out on my own but everything else is really well detailed and I'm having no issues

    • @lovefordiy
      @lovefordiy  Год назад

      Hello, Carolyn! You don’t have to put another string with the anchor cord. From the beginning the anchor cord should be the longest string of all your strings. If you didn’t figure it out, I hope I helped. Thank you so much for watching!😊❤

      I just started this project. I'm also confused about how to incorporate the anchor cord.

    How do you decide the number of working cords required?

      When you'll start to attach your working cords you'll figure out how many you'll need as you go. Hope it helps!
