Very clear instructions. Thank you. I will use jute to make a slip cover for 8 liter plastic water jugs. Hopefully it will be a bit more aesthetically pleasing on my kitchen counter.
I want to do this to my 3 small vintage oil lamps on my coffee table. They’re 3 very different styles but all clear, non-colored glass, so they make a nice set. Also, one has a glass shade, like the old 1800s parlor lamps, even though it’s under a foot tall. It was a novelty lamp from the 50s with worn red glass paint that I stripped off. I think the shade will look brilliant covered in small intricate macrame with fringe around the bottom. Thanks for the great idea!
great tutorial, thank you! I just made this for a mason jar - it didn't come out perfect, but it was really easy & it looks really cute. To finish it off I did a gathering knot underneath each final square knot & brushed out the tassels underneath.
Good morning, I started learning macrame few weeks ago with one of my favorite RUclipsrs Cuban Curlzz she post a video for macrame beginners she also recommended your channel and techniques, new subscriber here, I’m so excited to start binge watch this channel, lots of love ❤️ stay blessed and safe 💞😍💙💓🥰💕💜🙌⭐️❤️
Lucia! Hi friend!! Thank you so much for stopping by Megan's channel to let her know I recommended her to you all! You are the sweetest!! Isn't she fantastic?!! I love her aesthetic and her video style too!! Much love to you bella! 💞😘
I used thin knitting thread in a thin yarn with a metallic thread through it. Makes the perfect cover for my beauty brushes on my vanity. Used a different colour for second holder with dirty brushes.
I finally got around to making this today and it turned out so good!!! I made sure to add the extra cords so that it made 72 strands and it came out perfectly! Except for me not making the strands long enough for my jar. I think next time for the Mason jar I will do 4x longer just in case because the bulge on the jar and the shortness of it didn't make my measurements very good 🤦 but it did turn out really good I just did less rows of square knots.
Ahhh yes the bigger the jar the longer the strings. I should have done this on a regular mason jar because that’s what everyone has laying around their house 🤦🏼♀️ I swear this baby scrambled my brain
two lengths of rope twice the length of bottle... I'm guessing you meant 4x like the other cords plus the circumference of the bottle Update: I finished this. I used a 3mm cord for a quart mason jar 6.25" tall about 4" wide. I used the recommended number of cords BUT it's a lighter weight cord in the video (though I can't recall which was used). For me it looked pretty terrible in the end. Too crowded. Next day I unknotted some cord until I had only 28 on the jar and spaced it out. It looked very good. That's not a comment on video, just for anyone doing this pattern on a quart size mason jar with 3mm rope. it turns out excellent with fewer cords. If using the recommended cord obviously this won't be an issue. I just didn't have anything other than 3mm.
Thank you for this lovely tutorial! I'm going to try this in the new year for my wedding (june) decoration 😁. Would love to see the other patterns, they are so stunning! Love to mix then up and do a couple of different once. Hope you will make a followup tutorial.
Hi Megan. During this pandemic, I decided to make a hammock and I'm pretty much doing yours! But I'm stuck already! After attaching the 1st dowel, you say to create 3 rows of alternating square knots. Do you mean alternate ROWS, or alternate each knot within a row. If you could clarify that would be great! It is time consuming and i want to have it done within a month or so! Thanks! Alison
Thats super cute this just gave me an idea kinda a boho chic summer idea lol i would make a macrame ankle bracelet that would attach to my middle toe so it would kinda look like a sandle but it would just be for the beach or pool area hmmmm ideas ideas i wanted to see if you could try that out on a diy Thanks... oh and im new to your channel keep up the great videos 😊

So gorgeous! I’m going to use these on the clay pots and bottles I have for the plants in my kitchen.

Those sound like the perfect pieces for this! Email me pics when you're done, I'd love to see!

@@MeganBell it lasts a looooooong time too! 🤣 It still worked out great, even if my jar was frumpy.
Beautiful pattern. Please show use the other patterns on the other bottles in the back ground ♥️♥️

thanks you very much Megan! I love you kisses from Argentina
THIS. IS. SO. GREAT. ❤️
Very nice and easy instructions, what the size for your cords ..thanks
Twine is quite small. Maybe 1mm
Such a cool project!!! I love these Megan!
Thank you Patty! They’re a definitely a fun way to dress up those old mason jars everyone is using for decor 😂
Nice design. Thank you
Parabéns Parabéns lindos só percebo os fios são diferentes do Brasil ,mas macramê é tudo de bom
Hey girl!! So I have purchased 3mm rope. Can I still follow this tutorial? What would be the difference you said it would be easier?
You can totally still do this, it will just be a chunkier look. I have some mason jars in my home I used 3mm rope and I love the look
Lovely and easy pattern. What is the type and size of the string please?

Ooooo I LOVE that. And thank you! 💛
Beautiful!!!
Where do you recommend purchasing the glass jars from?
Thrift stores, Michaels, Joann Fabrics
Beautiful.
Davvero belli😍🇮🇹
C'est très joli ! Mais, pourquoi mettre autant de corde pour finalement la couper ? ???
How do you have the time ☹ I crochet and have a 2 month old and can't complete a project
It just takes so much longer to do everything I’ve realized
Hermosos!!
Q lindo!!!!!❤👏👏👏👏👏😘#Brasil
Lindo!!!!!!
Hermoso🇦🇷
Oooo my god !!!!
👍🏾💯❤️. Hugz
I don't understand why you have to make the length so long and have so much waste..
I came to the comments to try to find the same answer
The math doesn’t add up (sorry for the pun) 32*2=64 plus there were the 4 to start making 68 .... you are missing 4
Help! ❤️ from Canada 🇨🇦❤️
32+4=36 and 36x2=72
I see where I made my mistake though!
72 working cords is right though! So hopefully anyone who does this project will just add those cords to make it 72.
@@MeganBell whats the length of a bottle is it the same as the height or is it how long the string is wrapped around the bottle?
Beutifull thank you ver y mucho. Kisses
🥰👍🌺👏🤗🙏
Too fast
Thanks, but why do you talk so much?
Seriously? 😑
@@MeganBell at the beginning. Sorry.
@@MeganBell but thanks a lot for showing the patterns. Beautiful ❗
