@@rehnumachowdhury3629 to get the word out yes, but promoting local things a lot of people don’t check for analytics and just keep trying to raise attention to whatever it is their posting about. Analytics just lets you know how it’s doing but it’s nothing beneficial

I'd pack up and leave after Aaron said he planned to humiliate me before even hearing me out but also something trending on social media doesn't equal real world change. It's mostly vanity.
I would agree with the leaving part but I would say she did say it was just trending. Important people are backing her post. The metoo movement started as a hashtag. The body positive movement got a major lift from social media. Social media is a way to start a conversation. That starts real change
Yea I was low key disappointed in him. Even if he didn’t think she brought the appropriate level of respect to the project, or whatever, at least she did it, so she should be graded accordingly. All the necessary information was there and she personalized it, what’s the problem? He’s coming off very egotistical as an ASSISTANT professor, and need to tighten up. Just because you’re a prof doesn’t mean you can disrespect your students. If anything he should be more mature, considering he grown as hell now.
I came here to say this. It is deeply concerning when people think any of this social media garbage actually means something when it does not. Best I can give social media is awareness. That's it. But we need more than awareness if the goal is to change things.

Like has it granted people more protections against sexual harassment and assault. Has it even lead to less sexual violence? Do victims have more resources to help them when they face sexual violence?
Has the body positive movement lead to better healthcare for fat people? Has it lead to less violence and abuse towards fat people? Has it eliminated the harm of diet culture?
What do we actually have to show for it other than hashtags?

Lol I mean the qualifications for teaching are low as hell at this university. Yall forgot that Charlie was their professor in the beginning.
In real life, there could be a chance he could teach a low level course if he was a grad student and they are short on instructors. I've seen this happen in my math department in particular. But that dude was a PhD grad student and had been well into his program. Did Aaron go to grad school? I am pretty sure even community colleges require a master's degree at minimum. Also let's be clear the pay would be in experience. He would earn more working at a nonprofit/activist spaces. He would probably make more money if he worked under the diversity and inclusion department. Or an adviser for marginalized students. Like this is a pwi, and they attempt to have programs that are designed to help marginalized groups to succeed in a semi hostile environment. And they hire people to run them. I have a couple projects where I work along side these programs.
Honestly this was lazy writing for them to make Aaron an instructor. They are set in college yet barely care about the college system and how things work.

It's a good thing Annika's project was in the 0.00001% of social posts that actually gained traction. 100k views is an insane number if your not an influencer. And I've also never seen a single person get their hashtag trending unless they were, again, not an influencer or celeb.
Props to Annika I suppose but I'm being honest, these scenario is pretty unrealistic and it was only done to probe Aaron wrong even though he would be right the vast majority of the time.
