“Terrorists stormed, raped, butchered...” UN Envoy recalls ‘worst nightmare’ of Oct 07 attack

Israel hosted an event at the United Nations on Monday (October 7) to mark one year since a deadly Hamas attack, vowing to fight until all hostages held in Gaza by the Palestinian militants are freed and slamming the world body for failing to condemn the massacre.
After the moment of silence, Israel's U.N. Ambassador, Danny Danon vowed to bring hostages to bring "back home"
"Now we are not defenseless. Today, the Jewish people have a strong state, a powerful military, and the courage to protect ourselves," said Danon.
During the shock Hamas rampage a year ago some 1,200 people were killed and about 250 taken hostage, according to Israeli figures. More than 100 hostages remain held in Gaza by Hamas.
