Northwestern University is a private research university in Evanston, Illinois. Founded in 1851, it is the oldest chartered university in Illinois and was established to serve the former Northwest Territory. Admissions at Northwestern are considered to be highly selective. Northwestern has an endowment of $15.4 billion, one of the largest university endowments in the world, as well as an annual budget of around $2.5 billion. Past and present Northwestern faculty and alumni have included numerous heads of state, 2 Fields Medalists, 23 Nobel Prize laureates, 43 Pulitzer Prize winners, 23 MacArthur Fellows, 28 Marshall Scholars, 94 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 19 Rhodes Scholars, 10 living billionaires, and 24 Olympic medalists.

I think this is my favorite campus so far! Nothing can beat that lake view and the hikes at the lakefill.

It's so true. I did my PhD at Northwestern, and I really miss being able to take a stroll by the lake to clear my mind. It is an absolutely wonderful campus in a great area.

Such a stunning campus! I love all the greenery landscape! The performing arts have a large support, as can be seen in the various buildings! The blending of old with new archetecture is graceful. Great editing and drone levels!

No I retired I am a snowbird living in chicago summer and Arizona in the winter.
