This is a gorgeous facility with an amazing view. I've never been to Illinois or Michigan... I had no clue how much Lake Michigan looks like an ocean. Great video
This facility is DEFINITELY in the top 20! I shouldn’t be surprised Northwestern is a rich school with a $18 billion dollar endowment I can’t wait to see what they do with the new stadium. I’d upgrade that locker room too.
i love the player guided tours. they're the ones who directly benefit from it so their comments feel way more insightful than when a staffer or assistant coach explains stuff
i have been waiting for this one for so long. Longtime subscriber and I remember when they showed the renders for this facility before building. I always told my buddies that I would go here strictly because how nice it is.
As someone who has been to some games at Ryan Field in terrible weather, those equipment guys are the best.
Finally I’ve been waiting for this episode, one of the best college campuses I’ve been to, amazing in the summertime
their football field isn’t even close to this shi… this a top 20 facility with one of the worst stadiums in the country 😭

That’s a top 10 football facility, especially with the glass walls and a beach directly outside.
lets also mention they were the winners of the 1948 Rose Bowl
For all those saying this team is always bad, in the last ten years they have finished the season ranked in the top 25 four times including #8 in 2020, they are 4-1 in bowl games and have 2 Big Ten West Division Championships.

That Big 10 money even has traditionally losing programs laced with the best facilities.
The programs split the TV money so they all get paid. Keep in mind Northwestern is a private university, they don’t need the FB team’s revenue to build impressive facilities, they already have deep pockets.

Not a chance in the BIG 10, where Iowa ACTUALLY played in the conference championship. Iowa had the worst total offensive team in NCAA, and won by a margin of less than 6 points if you take the FCS team they played off the schedule. They got shut out in both games against ranked teams and you're talking about being 7-5 in the worst Power 5 conference by a mile. 5 of the 10 worst offenses belong to the BIG 10....including those 7-5 Northwesrern Wildcats sitting in at 121/130. I'm sorry but that 7-5 record in any other Power 5 conference would be (I'm being generous) 5 wins at best. Northwestern truly sucks.

At the 0:15 mark they show NFL helmets in some area of the facility. They are hung in order by conference, division, and then alphabetical by team city, state, or region. However, if you look closely, you see that the NFC East is out of order. Dallas should be on top and Philadelphia 3rd. New York and Washington are fine where they are.
Either they put them up wrong originally and no one noticed, or someone took some helmets down (perhaps to clean) and put them back incorrectly.
Now I feel I have to send their Athletic Department an e-mail! :)

$260M for a program with the results of Northwestern is absurd. Talk about no return on investment. At least Oregon, Texas, Alabama etc have the play on the field to match their investment in facilities. Northwestern needs to start investing in landing better recruits / players.

I can estimate the about 96% of the people on here know how to use correct grammar, as long as they are 10+. I politely ask you, please do not comment on what other people can and cannot do with their life, and have no doubts in them. I don’t know what you do for a living, but maybe you have a job or passion that does involve you to use correct grammar, and others do not, so they don’t use it as often, but they still know how to use grammar and spell words in the correct way. Just please remember that everyone has their own passions that they may want to pursue in life, and you should not be putting the, in a state where they feel like they cannot get into a good school, such as Northwestern or Notre Dame, and sometimes people make typos.

@@chrishaugh1655 By virtue of being the smallest school, by a significant margin, in one of the largest powerhouse conferences in the country, Northwestern is always going to struggle for wins. They fired their old head coach, lost talent, were expected to go 1-11 or winless, and still made it to this point. That speaks to the culture thats building at the school. Hopefully we do get better though.

This donation is significantly cheaper than anything NFL or XFL related, and they wouldn't consider this "losing" money considering what it gains them behind the scenes.
