This literally has EVERYTHING I mentioned Off The Grid needed: I suggested better AI, destructible environments and a more grounded and weighty feel, and this game seems to have all of that. Definitely on my radar.
This actually looks very cool. People will be turned off by it being an extraction shooter but it seems like its done well here with some interesting team play and playground elements
The extraction elements (and the revive feature!!) Make it feel much more like an open world survival game than an extraction one. The mechanics are stupid fun and the looting isn't invasive. You don't even have to loot static stuff unless you truly want to, because you can find so much good stuff at pvp events and the like. I'm a fan boy. Sad it has an NDA right now
Hello one of those people, I really don't get the appeal of gambling with your loot, Like bad day on Battlefield? all good you lost nothing but patience, extraction shooters just kick you when youre already down from having lost a match IMO (yes ive played a few and just always feel 10x worse when I lose a match than in other genres)
At this point the only thing I hope this does well is being optimized for midrange hardware. Too many unreal engine 5 games these days require a top spec GPU to be playable.

When you are set on 3rd Person view, your model animations have to be on point! I think The Division spoiled that for me, the game had a lot of flaws, but none of them were model animations... This definitely looks interesting. If anything, the only thing that i automatically see myself getting so overwhelmed with, is the amount of information on screen, plus all the little texts on menus. My brain never been able to cope with games like that let alone now that I'm getting older and blind😅 but i get that it's the norm in the genre. But yeah overall I see this being a fun play. If F2P, lots of potential.

I think people hate buzzwords more than the genre itself. There aren't many PvP concepts that succeed so can you blame companies for trying to put their own spin on the genre? At least this one looks like it's doing some unique things going for the playground approach and is actually built by the same folks who worked on Division Dark Zone and lit the match that started this whole genre. Looks fun!

This looks 1000% better than Off the grid.
This is certainly what it feels like living in the US.
