  • This comparative test plot was planted in Southwest Wisconsin on April 24, 2015 in a minimum-till, corn-on-corn field. The rolling field was worked in the fall, following harvest, and then again in the spring, prior to planting, with a Case IH True-Tandem 335VT. Each of the three planters used in this test plot planted the same seed variety, at the same time, while experiencing the same conditions. See the performance of each planter for yourself. Moral of the story: Plant slower. What did they yield at speeds around 5 or below?

The fact that the Kinze was only off by 4-6bu to the acre despite y'all not having it setup with hydraulic down pressure and air controlled residue wheels like the Deere and Case just proves how the Blue Machine is just as good with worse row unit options on it. Lol

This testing doesn't make sense. All variables should be the same, yet case tests 2, 24 row planters vs their 16 row planter. That changes variables such as weight in the high traffic rows and other things. I am sure Case looked at yield maps also and knew exactly which passes they wanted their planter running.
