I hate when he says a 4:20 mile just isn’t fast😂😂it hurts my soul
It haunts me bro. Been having nightmares of him just endlessly telling me that 4:20 isn't a fast mile since this series started. Plz send help
LEEEEETTTTSSSSS GOOOOOO, who else has been waiting for each episode down to the second.
Yeah these videos are really well done.
Me, I love this series!
@@LukeBuentello ppp
Bro XC in Cali looks so live
dude running with great oak and newberry park at invites is fucking scary. Like we raced nico at woodbridge and the man was gone. The state meet and CIF Finals with great oak made me shit my pants
It is I can assure you it is
@@burritotrash6725 lmao fr. i’m run for woodbridge and i remember my first meet greet oak being there and like just absolutely killing.
Love this series. As a runner that just graduated high school in central Ohio I love to see the different style and level of running in California.
Hey bro I’m a highschool runner in Ohio and I just moved to Ohio a few months ago and am getting used to the snow and layering up and we can’t run in gyms cuz covid so do you have have any tips for running in the snow
@@jayvonpryor1956 a few things that have worked for me is making sure the shoes I’m wearing have proper tread and or get yourself a pair of running shoes made for wet conditions. I would also say to layer up a lot because you can always take clothes off. Pay attention to footing and it’s okay to run slower but go farther if the conditions aren’t good.
Are they gunna put in the “4:20 isn’t just fast enough for a highschooler” for every video 🤦🏿♂️
These episodes are so good
4:20 isn’t fast for a high school mile, it’s just not fast
That voice haunts me and my 5:34 mile
the gift that just keeps on giving
our best runner has a 4:40 and we all think he’s a god
@@brycew6675 lmao I was that kid in ms. Before rona cancelled our season of track I had a 5:38 the year before and they all thought I was Jesus Christ reincarnate
@@cartersteele i have a teammate who ran 5:37 in 6th grade and he is our god.
So they dont have too go through the nxr races they get an automatic entry to nxn
Cali state meet is the nxr because it is later than most or all state meets
California is the last state to do a XC state meet
When Nike Cross Nationals was set up over a decade ago California was one of the issues when it came to qualifying. Few things to think about
#1 California is actually about the same size population or actually bigger than any of the other nine NXN qualifying regions.
#2 rather having the California schools having their own NXN “regional” meet a week later NXN officials decided To use the CIF-State cross country meet as the ‘de facto’ Nike Cross Regional meet
#3 these school don’t get an ‘automatic’ entry, they still need to finish in the “Top 2” of the power merge for the invite and “Top 4-5” to be considered for an At-Large entry to NXN
@@atomgraphics1277 could you please explain what a power merge entry is and what an at large entry is
@@Sy-xc5dm power merge is all the divisions from State finals merged together. Top two teams go to NXN. Then the other remaining teams ( usually 3rd and 4th) can be invited as at large teams.
6:52 That’s pretty much the size of my XC team
It’s so nice being on a 15 person team especially with a good coach working individually with you.
I wonder what’s gonna happen next episode
Coach Soles coaches my school now cause he left great oak
Their high schools are 5-6 times bigger than mine
bruh did they change the Southern Section map? lol it looks wayyyy different
Cruz, several years ago the sections were re-aligned. Several areas from the central coast (San Luis Obispo area) and the high desert-Eastern Sierras area were moved into Central Section. Long commutes from these areas to competitions in the Southern Section were the main driver of this realignment. Strangely, the CIF map on the official web site has not been updated. But, you may have noticed that perennially competitive teams like Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo have not been at CIF-SS competition in recent years..
So if that’s there B Team, then where is there A Team?
The a team didn’t race
some of the people wore mask before mask were cool , but why
Great Oak had several athletes come down with flu symptoms the week of CIF State Meet and they were trying to limit spread. They were definitely leading edge on mask wearing.
@@hdRunners ohhh 😂
also some like my school, our varsity guys wore them because the CIF course in riverside is suuuuper dusty so they didn't want them to inhale so much dust before their race
300 kids on an xc team, my team has 3
Third
LET'S GO
Fifth
Sleeping on St Charles East in the potential NXN team race
Well where were they in the nxn scores lol
@@jfareilla 4th, had 5 in before Newbury and had their one in before Jace.
@@DemoNC it's not a good look to comment about NP. as if you're a better team. It makes you look really bad. Keep your head up and stay humble, it will take you much further in life and on the cross country course. Also NP is MUCH better this year then last year and you did not have one in before Jace. he was close, but not in front of Jace. Keep grinding my friend.
@@blakefonda4506 I don’t even go there was just saying they should’ve been mentioned as a team to watch because they’re were a top team all year. I was replying to the other guy that made the snarky “where were they in the final scores,” just pointing out they were another contender. Also yes, I double checked and had their places swapped, Jace was 3 in team scoring and the other was 4. Never said NP isn’t a great team. Probably one of if not the best HS teams ever.
