it definitely is. the swing pattern on the hi hat is really unique to robo, but ive seen a lot of punk drummers adopt it as they get older. it’s difficult to coordinate at first but once you get it down its a great way to conserve energy
i love watching drum cams of my favorite drummers. Erik Sandin, Dave Raun... but Stevensons technique is just unique in the punk scene. always amazed when i watch him.

it may not look like for those who don't play drums, but aplying that techniques on a punk rock rhythym with that level of control, it's hard AF
