Top 5, every punk band or pop-punk ska-punk , band of the 1990s either wanted to be the Decedents or The Misfits. Everyone from sublime to blink 182. The decedents literally owned 80s punk, I can’t think of a more influential band in that genre in then 80s, the misfits were close behind, maybe dead Kennedy’s little behind them. NOFX was just getting started & still finding their sound, bad religions best work was in the 90s. Then you had some smaller talented bands, the vandals, etc etc but none had a lasting impact like The Decedents? The darker more serious punk bands that followed in 90s were more influenced by the misfits. But everyone loved the decedents!
