I haven't raced RC in over 25 years OMG so much has changed. Picked up a Arrma Kraton 4s and I am having a blast. The radio feels a bit cheapy but other than that a great reintroduction. Was going to pick up a traxxas but I am happy with the Kraton.
Good honest top 10 Matty, thought it was time to try the Corally XTR and Dementor. Used a max8 G2 combo in it and the things an animal ha,ha, I've heard the steering links break so got some big heavy duty ones of eBay $24 . It's pretty tough, haven't broken anything yet. Will upgrade the Dementor that's very fast with Corally electronics. We bought the team magic E5hx plus 4s , seems like a beast . Will try it tomorrow. Just wanted to try something else instead of our Arrmas and Xmax . Just the XTR keeps on impressing me. Keep up the great work mate.
Hey how are you dude? I love the corally xtr, it's not without its weak spots but what rc car is? I know I'm not the most extreme basher, I think that's maybe why I like the xtr so much due to its awesome speed and handling. I haven't tried the team magic cars yet but from what I've seen on aussiercplayground, I think it's time I try one out haha
@@MatthewSimm you will love the E5hx plus mate. Not cheap but it's fully upgraded. . Aussie rc playground built the first 4s e5hx then Team magic must have seen it and did a copy. I'm glad they did. The thing is fast and very tough. These companies like team magic and corally are listening to the reviewers and they need to listen to you guys. I'll buy more from them , they are trying hard and the trucks are great. If it wasn't for you guys I'd be bashing my grasshopper and not even know what a Traxxas is . Ha,ha, corally have a lot of upgrades and it's my favorite thing to upgrade things . Can't wait to see what they do this year. Have a good one Matty.

had a few ideas team me what you think a button activated parachute for high jumping to save the car from slamming or putting foam in the body and landing upside down to pad the landings
The sledge doesn't need a modified motor mount. It needs the "washers" that attach to the chassis underneath that effectively "lock" the screws that hold the mount in place. A set is around $10-15 usd and is much more simple than completely swapping the motor mount You can buy multiple different styles that accommodate tons of different gearing options. First time I had my sledge out the motor slid a bit and I lost mesh. Got the "washers" to lock it in place and I have BEAT on that truck and the motor is locked. Should have been a stock addition from Traxxas with OEM options for different gearing. But hey that's what aftermarket parts are for right?
For me it would have been good to have a close up of the All the actual cars before the driving of them. As for me as someone new into the hobby it would have been helpful. Otherwise great video thanks
I havent got one RC in your list as none of them are for me. I have 25 RCs which is mostly trophy/short course trucks (Losi 5T, UDR, Super Baja Rey), rock racers (Super Rock Rey and its baby brother), and a few monster trucks (LMT Gravedigger, 3XLE, Outcast 8s). The rest are all in between like crawlers and race buggies/truggies.
The Maxx is tough as nails but imo the Kraton performs a bit better now if you want a back flip bashing beast get the Outcast but keep in mind it's not great on a track compared to the Kraton obviously because it has a shorter chassis, it all depends on what you like the most, racing or bashing? That's why I like the Kraton, it's pretty good at both. Either way long as it puts a smile on your face is all that matters at the end of the day and any one of these 3 will definitely put a smile on your face!!! 😁
Raced nitro back in 95 to 2000. Maxxas was a budget brand back then. Obviously not anymore. I'm looking to get an rc and build a motocross style track. Probably go electric. Recommendation?

I personally would’ve put the Keaton 8S somewhere in that line up, probably even at the top spot of number 1. If you hook it up to a Traxxas X max or XRT it will drag it all over the place. It’s pretty epic.

Just wanted to mention, had a XRT since they dropped, and upgrading the rims and tires is a must. The M2C servo saver is almost a must as well.

Some hard foam could work, so could a parachute however, I'm not sure you would want to keep Re packing it after every jump or how it'll fit haha
