Maybe if you gave more than a 5/8ths inch nailing area airgun hacks might not miss the nailing area as much

Only zinc coated steel or aluminum nails per the video? Steel ( electro plated steel) are not very durable when hit with a hammer and on lower slope roofs can rust out before the roof life. Is there a reason why stainless steel is not mentioned as an allowable fastener? Stronger than aluminum and longer life than electro plated steel.

Doesn't appear that the roofers in the video are following the GAF sanctioned comments, often using more than 4 nails. Would be nice if the video matched the narrative. I do my own roofing--always have, always will. Don't need some overpriced goons crawling on my roof. Have installed quite a few, and have never experienced a an issue.

Poor designed shingle when the nailing area is so damn narrow and way too close to the bottom edge of the covering shingle. Buy Malarkey architectural shingles. They have a 1 1/2" strip which can be nailed into, which provides a larger distance from the nail head to open sky.

The installer in there own video is one of the worst nailers I have ever seen, approx. 5 nails in last 6” of shingle over and over again.

Is this all it takes to be 'Master Elite'?!? Watch dude set his first nail, skip 1/3 of the length of the shingle, set another one and then fire off 4 nails in the last 6 inches again and again on GAF's own instructional video...WOW. There's another video where dude is snapping permanent red chalk lines all over white shingles. I like GAF's products but you'd think they'd be a little more discerning about the shoddy work they post in their how-to videos.

Nails are so important yet they don't tell you what length to use. They say check their website but there's no info.

bedboy69 1.25" is the standard. It does say 3/4" or through plywood or sheeting.

Great verbal instructions. However in the video the dudes nailing is atrocious and inconsistent

What is it with nail guns???????????????????? You don't have the control. Nail guns are the #2 reason for blowoffs.
