But in the end it can't get all the oil and eventually ran out and died. It's a piece about life and the machine draining our joy and making us mindless cogs in the corporate machine till we die

I’ve always gotten depressed whenever I remember this piece. Knowing that it died 4 years ago makes that feeling worse.
It died? Do you feel the same way when a car breaks down or when something in your home, such as your tv just stops working? Do you get upset and cry at the thought that your TV/computer/laptop/phone, etc, stayed on for you regardless of how it felt until it no longer could? Did you ever have a proper burial for electronics in your house that've died after years of service to you with no thanks at all?
It's a fucking robot made and programmed to do one thing. How this "dying" is depressing to you is concerning. The thing didn't die. A part failed, or several parts failed. Replace those, clean it, and it would continue. Feeling depressed at the thought of this thing breaking 4 years ago is somewhat pathetic. If this were human life, then I'd understand. But it isn't. This thing isn't a living being and never was a living being. It didn't think. It didn't feel. It simply went though lines of code that a human, or humans programmed into it. A bit pointless really because it would be impossible to pull all the liquid toward itself and have it all stay there. At night, this thing no doubt got switched off and switched back on in the morning.
@@jonnywilson9117people have emotions for things. That robot is actually alive, moving. So you can count that as a living thing in a different way. Even if i were wrong, its still ok to feel bad for something that died. And yes, you can be sad about your stuff dying.

idk about it eventually stopping waving at people, but as someone with a degree in robotics engineering that is definitely not fuel for the robot. These are almost all 480V 3-phase there is no "fuel"
