- One of the doctrines that is in great need of definition today is the doctrine of repentance. And I find that one of the great practical areas of Scripture that helps us immensely to define and study the very nature of what true repentance is, are these seven letters. All five church that Jesus has something against he calls to repentance.

Repent before your heart is so hardened and your sins bite you
What hurts me the most is the fact that sometimes even if I know something is a outright sinful and sometimes I can actually almost hear a voice inside of me yelling at me too stop. I just push it away and in the moment my mind becomes num. and then after ive committed the sin I instantly recognize what I had just did. I spend most of my day worrying about it and praying for up too 10-20 minutes straight if im really stressed. I want to improve so badly and I understand that God is very forgiving but after so many times my mind begins to lose some hope. I have a pretty good life I just wish I could have the will power to listen to God and live it. Frankly even if he accepts me as I am now I find it hard for me to allow myself to accept his help and his forgiveness out of my guilt. I do repent to God ALOT but after so many times It almost feels like im a audio clip on repeat.
Im just having trouble living with myself. I keep thinking I can just power through and cut out all my sinful practices and ill get really fired up. But then maybe it takes a single day or 3 weeks but I sin again. I know its normal, its human nature too sin but ive really fallen into a deep pit of it and for 2 years it seems I cant dig my way out.
@@UNLIMITED_WMSEEDSmy advice to you is to not rely on your own strength to fight sin, but when you feel the temptation close your eyes and bow your head and just stay there praying (unless your driving) but basically center every thought on God and let him take care of it for you, because we cant do it by ourselves

How do we repent of heart issues?? Even my repentance becomes a work and feeds my self righteousness. It’s awful
In Mark 10 the Rich Young Ruler had a heart issue...idolizing his riches. What did Christ put forward for the man in regards to repentance? He called him to 'go and sale all he had and to follow Me.' So practically speaking this man need to radically cut off the idol (Matthew 5:29-30). Yet the bigger issue is his need to follow Christ. Is that not what Paul said in Acts 20:21? It is repentance TOWARDS God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. --- True repentance sets a person on a path of following Christ. If the Rich Young Ruler so chose that path, then he indeed would've had to lay down his idols. Yet too many focus on cutting off the idol, and thinking after they've done such they are saved. They are just turning salvation into some work to do...repentance points you towards Christ. Was Christ worth it to the Rich Young Ruler? Nope. He selected his riches over Christ.
I am either cursed or I'm being possessed by more than one demon...I believe in Christ and hate my sins to the point of tears...My spirit and mind wants nothing more than to be free from drugs I am married to a woman who has the same problem ...we live in a drug infested environment so right when I scream out to the Lord to lead me not into temptation and my mind and heart truly wants it all to end and I feel a glimmer of hope....I'm not lead into temptation, temptation is brought right to me and the force of that addiction wins... I'm not well physically...I'm unhireable due to my past criminal history and the last job I had I had a stroke while working...I have been denied disability I believe it was because of my past that they denied me and not based on my health...I begging for the fervent prayers from anyone who is strong in Christ.... please pray that I'm delivered from this wickedness that outshines my want and need to get high.
@@illbehonest Please pray for me i deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that God saves me.
@@illbehonest salivation isn’t dependent on repentance! Salvation is gained by accepting Christ and believing on faith. There is no work that you can do to lose or gain salvation after it is received. You’re acting as salvation on Monday means a change on Tuesday and any born again Christian knows that’s not accurate. God has to change us day by day
@@yamomma5053 Thanks for this brother. I love sin so much and wish to continue to sin. Though I love to rob banks occasionally and cheat on my wife with a new woman every Sunday, it is all covered in the blood. I am so thankful that believing in God gives me the licence to sin all I want without consequences. If only Hitler believed too so he could’ve had sin insurance. That way he could’ve committed much more genocide while still being justified. 🙏
To paraphrase something Johnathan Edwards said, God doesn't cause the sun to rise for people to continue on sinning.
IF God is so eager to save, say, like my Mom, who wanted nothing more than to serve Jesus: no sin was holding her back and yet, 38 years later she still wonders if she is saved. She loves Jesus. It was horrible back in 1985! She'd come home from church crying, and I'd hear her in her room balling out to God, wailing. She finally just said, "God said if I called He'd save, so even though I doubt I will just trust His Word."
How much twisting of God's arm must she do before God relents?
Should she search inside her soul for whatever is blocking her from God? WHY does God make it SO EASY for many to get saved, BUT SO DAMN HARD FOR OTHERS? I wonder if there are people who've cried out to GOD all their lives to be saved, really meaning it, who died and went to hell because God, in His sovereign will, decreed they would not be saved. Jonathan Edwards wrote God does not owe anyone Salvation.
Same happens to me…but at the end of the day we only must trust God’s word. I truly understand your mother. I suffer from ocd…maybe she suffers from it too

Praying for you. Look at the cross where He died for you... our power is futile. Otherwise, why did He have to die? Couldn't it have been done some other way? See Galatians 2:21

I love how animated you are with telling people to repent as if turning from a familiar lifestyle is as easy as 123. This video is on the level of condemnation. Imagine a sinner who doesn’t know god watched this video…this video would surely not help them turn from their ways.
What would you say to someone who professes faith in Jesus and has repented of gross sexual immorality and is continously repenting of every sin they know of, and is obviously been changed by the Holy Spirit's sovereign power but still struggles with a smoking or vaping addiction?
My husband says that he knows that salvation is from God. He understands that God is who gives us the gift to repentance. So he is just waiting for God to make his work in him. I’m a bit confused…what should I tell my husband?
Hello Melany, may the Lord be merciful to your husband. Sadly him deciding to "wait for God to make his work in him" is a common excuse that people will use. They are actually refusing to come to the Lord, as John 5:40 says - You refuse to come to me that you might have life. People will tend to point the finger at the Lord and blame the Lord for them not yet being saved. I don’t have a specific sin that’s holding me back. God can do anything with me. But I don’t know why I feel that maybe he didn’t save me. Thank you for your response
Repentance is our journey from wickedness to the righteousness, holiness and following The Lord Jesus.
Time is too short.
Repent and continuously believe in The Lord Jesus.
The Lord Jesus said twice in The Gospel According to Luke, But unless you repent you too will all perish.
Repentance is not optional, it is mandatory from The Word of The Son of God.
How to repent through The Words of The Lord Jesus?
The Lord Jesus said , Neither do I condemn you, Go now and leave your life of sin.
The Lord Jesus said, Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.
The Lord Jesus said, Whom The Son sets free is free indeed.
The Lord Jesus said, If you want to be My disciple, deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow Me.
The Lord Jesus said, If you hold to My Teaching, you are truly My disciple and you will know The Truth, and The Truth will set you free.
Repentance happens one time it is defined as a change of the mind/heart which leads to a change of direction/action, I believe you are confusing sanctification, which is the process in which we grow closer to God and further from our old life of sin, with repentance friend. Yes, Jesus 100% said these things but he said them to people who were on the verge of repenting by having a changed heart/mind towards their sin, they thought it would bring them fullness and joy but instead it left them like it will leave all of us, broken and empty! Now that you see how DEADLY AND UNFRUITFUL SIN is “leave your life of sin behind” “stop sining or something worse may happen to you” basically sin will always hurt you….don’t play with it, you were fortunate but now that you “know the TRUTH” about sin you are “FREE” from its lies and broken promises, you are FREE TO PICKUP YOUR CROSS DAILY AND FOLLOW ME (sanctification)
Ok how do I repent when I’m having such a hard time giving things up?
Literally
I would say to Jesus, "I don't want to give up my sin, but I DO want to be saved. Will you please, as gently as you can help me to let You lead me to Salvation?" Be brutally honest with Jesus. Tell him you are truly a sinner, with nothing to offer Him. Tell Him how you truly feel (I do not care how black your heart is), He knows it already. Repentance begins with simply turning around to look towards Jesus.

Are we all Sinners in NEED of a Saviour?

What specifically to Believe in!!
1 Timothy 2:4-6
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again according to the scriptures so you can be free from Hell and Death. This is the greatest gift God gave us. By having faith in the Gospel you are sealed with the Holy Spirit forever and SAVED from that moment to eternity.
Galatians 1:11-12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Heaven or Hell?
It’s Your Choice
A PRAYER FOR SALVATION THROUGH FAITH
“I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Christ died for my sins and rose three days later from the grave. Thank you for forgiving my sin on the cross. You alone Jesus is now why I have forgiveness and eternal life. Thank you in Jesus name. Amen.”
If you have prayed this with faith (Wholeheartedly) you are Forgiven and now in the Body of Christ.
Welcome brother or sister. Remember saying a prayer does not save you, having Faith does in Jesus and what He did for you.
What if I continue to Sin?
What if I stop having Faith?
What if 5 years after being saved I have an affair?
What if I aborted my child 1 year after I was saved?
What about suicide?
When you first had faith in Christ you were sealed and secured from that day forward, no matter what you do or don’t do our saviour has saved your soul and made you a new creation. Remember it Gods Work that saved you not Yours.
Eternal Security ( 100% Going to Heaven)
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
I encourage you to study the Word of God (KJV Bible Translation) and it would greatly help you to find Godly Bible Believing church as well.
