I think the citizen comment makes Mace come off as uncharacteristically petty. I think they should have left it with the line about the council. I don't think Ashoka neglected to tell them about what Maul said because of the "citizen" comment. I think it has more to do with the source. I don't think she fully buys what Maul is saying and she doesn't want to put Anakin in the council's cross hairs based on an an unreliable source.
@@greggepstein1164 I thought it was perfectly in Mace's character, but oh well. Her reasoning I agree with, I'd say it was a mix of the source, her distrust in the council and how the council reacts to this type of information. It only takes the mere thought of using the Dark Side or treason for the council to flame someone. And the council I personally don't think would care about the source. Mace would take any reason to cast Anakin out of the Order just because Anakin is a sad boi, and Mace don't trust him and hasn't tried to prevent Anakin's turn.
@@greggepstein1164 To be fair, Mace was giving her info as mentioned elsewhere in the comments for this video, that she should NOT have been privy too (Anakin's actions, Palps, Grievous). He did that because up until she said 'she's no longer a jedi', he was trying to, silently, accept her back in, make her feel welcome, she was the one who scorned them first. Mace then responded in kind, since she didn't wish to be treated a Jedi, then the kindness had to stop because she had no authority to receive info. Harsh, yeah, but Mace is one of the best Jedi at controlling his emotions. That was a cold logical decision after trying to show some sympathy/forgiveness and being shunned.
Mace: "I'm sorry, CITIZEN..." Me: Harsh...but fair, Mace. Harsh but fair. Even Ahsoka agrees. Everyone else: DID YOU HEAR WHAT HE SAID TO OUR GIRL SNIPS!?!
Wow Windu really? After everything she did for the republic you going to say sorry citizen this is Jedi business only. I can see why she left the Jedi. That stuck-up jerk!!!
Isaiah George technically she’s a veteran that served, when a veteran does ask about some information going on in other countries that you aren’t supposed to tell citizens they get the information good bit of the times. Idk but they made mace Windu a really not likable character in any of these shows that has to with Ashoka or anakin the movies.
@Isaiah George it's how he said that pissed me off. Besides Kenobi told Ashoka Anakin's mission to spy on the chancellor. but I guess it's all even now because they didn't tell her about what was happening with the Chancellor Ahsoka did not tell them about what Darth maul told her about Anakin.
Ahsoka herself said that she's a "citizen" and not a Jedi. Why should the Jedi talk with her about internal affairs? They even don't know what she did after she left the Order. She could be a spy, too.
Rex was right there too, what was he gonna say 'oh yeah citizen and commander we may have to organize a coup to remove Palpatine.' If anything that would have resulted in Order 66 earlier.
@@kharimotayne6118 Maybe not Order 66 necessarily, but it would immediately shake the faith in Jedi and clones alike if it were to become public information. Both Ahsoka and Rex would be alarmed that the Jedi could be attempting a coup.
I want another clone wars series. That is not all about Anakin and Obi wan. Instead it focuses on the war as a whole. With different jedi like Aalya Secura, Quinlan Vos, Plo Koon, new jedi knights and padawans, etc. Plus a Ventress ARC and a Grievous ARC. And that starts during the first month of the Clone Wars. Then later continues with other units like the Galatic Marines, 187th, clones with teal stripes, clones with pink stripes, Commander Doom's unit, Appo's unit, and clones with pink stripes. With an arc about clone commandos and NULL ARCs
@Isaiah George Alot happens in one year in the star wars universe, I'm talking like a month after Geonosis just as the Republic is ramping up to tackle the CIS haha. That would have been cool.
If anakin would have stayed there Few minutes longer... everything could have been avoided... These final episodes just made revenge of the sith better movie
More importantly if Mace Windu wasn't so stuck up he would've learned Anakin was being groomed as the Sith Apprentice and would connect it to the Dark Side surrounding Palpatine but he had to play the citizen card.

Mace was petty even in episode 3. "take a seat young skywalker" was said with pettiness. but how i see it. Mace is that tough-ass character. Yoda is the more sympathetic one. together they kinda give a good cop, bad cop type deal.
This scene was amazing plus heart breaking at the same time because on how close ahsoka would have prevented order 66 if she tell the master yoda what maul imput anakin, I really do hope they make an alternative universe star wars movies on what if order 66 never happen, what if anakin never turn to the dark side
No how? Anakin would have still gone to Palps, mace would have called him in he would have confirmed it once again and told not to go only to eventually go. Or He would have called him in arrested him and he would have told them palps is the sith. Ani would have been in a cell and everything would have still happen. You got to realize that mace only won because palpy was setting up the scenario to seduce Anakin. In this scenario Ani would have died in prison perhaps. However ob1 and yoda would have taken palps out.
It's especially disappointing because in earlier seasons of Clone Wars she's shown to be very assertive and confident. She definitely should've had something to say there.
I love the moment that Mace calls Ashoka 'Citizen', because you can see Yoda disagree. It's such a small detail, but that combined with Ashoka showing up in Yoda's visions on Morriband way back when really does make it feel like Yoda cares about if she decides to rejoin the jedi or not, and on a very personal level. Yoda is worried about what will happen to her if she doesn't come back, genuinely. And I love how close this story arc comes to changing Anakin's path. It becomes a final indictment of everything wrong with the Jedi Order- they can't see why Ashoka is angry with them, and in pushing her away, they loose the best chance they ever had to save Anakin, and themselves. Sure, it raises a bunch of mild continuity issues, but whatever, it's not like the old continuity wasn't laced with the damn things.
2:17 You can see Yoda was actually *SUPER* joyed to see Ahsoka again. You can also see how much he regrets the way he treated her in the past, and well, just know.
I loved the pacing of the Council conversation parallel to Anakin's with Palpatine. It's based almost exactly the same, and Anakin's conversation about doubting the Council is directly shown with them, yet again, excluding Ahsoka, for saying she's a "citizen"
Mace Windu is kind of mean to Ahsoka, the way he said "I'm sorry citizen, these matters are for the council to discuss" it was like he was trying to spit it in her face. And then Rex is just like standing at the side who's like "damn" lol
I wonder if Ahsoka was somehow able to piece together in the same way as Adrian Toomes did from Spider-man: Homecoming what Maul said about Anakin and the fact that he is a close friend of the Chancellor, that Palpatine is in fact Sidious
@@exodustimes4266 I think that she suspected it, but refused to believe, helped along by the fact that Vader did everything he could to distance himself from his past incarnation.
Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels deals with Ahsoka's reaction to all this. It was pretty clear to every Jedi aware that Dooku/Maul weren't the only Sith Lords that Palpatine was Sidious. But Ahsoka had assumed Anakin was killed in Order 66 and didn't realize Vader's identity until years later when they fought and she senses him through the Force
If she did she's an idiot for at least not telling the Jedi that. That is insanely important information. Hell she should have told the Senate at least.
This right here is what sets Filoni apart from JJ, Johnson, and Kennedy. The absolute attention to detail here. You are intersecting two confirmed pieces of canon so the minute you stray, you are invalidating one of the series and have to ask which one is canon? This was perfect
I think Yoda was hoping for her to pass him on a message for Anakin. He knew Anakin wasn't okay at that point and probably the closest he had ever been to the Dark Side and must have hoped that passing him on a message from Ahsoka might help him. Also I do believe that when Ahsoka said she hadn't do her duty as a Jedi _yet_ that she was referring to her having to help and save her master from Sidious. I also believe that Yoda must have pick on on the fact that she was referring to Anakin although he did not know about Sidious' grooming but only about Anakin's fears and his very distaste of his latest assignment.
The meeting scene is so well done. Not just the lines spoken, but facial expressions and subtle head and body movements as well are damn near perfect to the movie.
I find it extremely cool that we get to see how that conversation ended years later, and that Ahsoka was always there during the film and the movie retroactively “cuts around” her
When the holograms of Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi Mundi and Windu disconnect, it feels as if they are dying. It's the last time the Council saw each other alive. Great directing here in this scene!
well wendu was being a bit of a ass here though which no doubt contributed to why Ashoka did not reveal everything since they were not showing sign of trust that they can deal with this rationally without repeating a incident that happened to her when she was framed.

I don't think Ashoka neglected to tell them about what Maul said because of the "citizen" comment. I think it has more to do with the source. I don't think she fully buys what Maul is saying and she doesn't want to put Anakin in the council's cross hairs based on an an unreliable source.
She would probably tell plo if plo was some what close to anakin
1:03 “doors” close on the right and open on the left. Neat :)
Mace: "I'm sorry, CITIZEN..."
Me: Harsh...but fair, Mace. Harsh but fair. Even Ahsoka agrees.
Everyone else: DID YOU HEAR WHAT HE SAID TO OUR GIRL SNIPS!?!
They even animated Ki-Adi and Yoda exactly as they moved in the movies. I love how much attention was put into these depictions of the movie
This scene comparison alone is more consistent than the entire sequel trilogy
The main problem with the sequel trilogy is that they never had a roadmap to move the story further.
wdym the sequel trioloigy is spuer consistent
you always know your about to be let down, whatever happens
@@abhishekghosh1534 "somehow Palpatine returned"
Ahsoka and Anakin where so close.. god dammint
2:26 - Yoda has such big puppydog eyes, I can’t even!
I agree with you, its a shame Clone Wars didnt begin earlier in the war.
MrRonski Rex left it on before leaving to get Ashoka
More importantly if Mace Windu wasn't so stuck up he would've learned Anakin was being groomed as the Sith Apprentice and would connect it to the Dark Side surrounding Palpatine but he had to play the citizen card.
Bryan 8108 he was a being a dick yes but she did have another opportunity to tell yoda when it was just her, yoda & Rex alone but she chose to say nothing so Ashoka is not completely blameless
How? Ahsoka wouldn't have told Anikin that information over a call.
@@Bryan-dr5qy You people love playing defense for Anikin's stupidity.
If he had learned about Anikin that wouldn't have stopped Anikin from betraying them after they confronted the chancellor. That scene literally happens less then a few days from this one.
Yoda calling Ashoka “Padawan” after all that went down in season 5 tugged on my heart strings.
When 20 mins of Star Wars the clone wars makes you feel so much more than the sequels combined
Lol clone wars makes US feel so much more than any Star Wars trilogy. Stop riding on sequels it's boring.
Me no like new movies. Give likes.
The nobody *** isn't fucking funny ROTS is good. Just because it’s a feature length live action clone wars episode
@@thor3432 but sequels are shit. Pre quels and classics were both awesome.
@@itzcrytek1455 no. It is all about opinions. Originals are awesome. Prequels and sequels are both good. They both have major problems. Prequels were accepted the way they are. Before that people where whining on George Lucas that he destroyed Star Wars and so on. Same happened to sequels. They will be accepted just like prequels before them.
"Im sorry citizen, this matters are for the council to discuss"
Damnn my man Mace🤣
Idk..i thought that made him come off as uncharacteristically petty. He can be curt but I never saw him as petty.
Mace is such a fucking asshole
Mace was petty even in episode 3. "take a seat young skywalker" was said with pettiness. but how i see it. Mace is that tough-ass character. Yoda is the more sympathetic one. together they kinda give a good cop, bad cop type deal.
I never read that as petty. I always thought he was dressing down Anakin but not taking a cheap shot.
Though I can see it being read that way.
He did let out a subtle "warning" about the chancellor tho
It’s like watching a symphony orchestra
Its like poetry
It rhymes
-George Lucas: the creator of this amazing universe.
Dooku: dead
Order 66: executed
Anakin: turned
Hotel : trivago
Windu: window
Sheesh, as if the Order didn't have enough things going on, Mace Windu truly was part of its bane.
Y’all remember when Ashoka was a derpy lil kid in TCW movie ten years ago and now she’s a badass character that we all love
It must be so weird being Aalya Secura. Like throughout all this she’s just standing there with no input 😂😂😂😂
She has caught a severe case of background character syndrome, I'm afraid she might not recover.. I'm sorry for your loss.
@@AGlorifiedSpoon Due to the severity of Background Character Syndrome, it is likely she only a few more hours to live.
It's especially disappointing because in earlier seasons of Clone Wars she's shown to be very assertive and confident. She definitely should've had something to say there.
Double A y’all I’m dead💀💀💀(too soon?)
Wow, you put that together quickly! Nicely done.
Yoda and Rex are great pals. Yoda still respects Ahsoka and Rex stands idly by, even having concern for Anakin.
Thank you Dave, everything you do is gold
Anakin: "I should be There... With them"
Ahsoka: "i was hoping to talk with General Skywalker"

I think it’s cool how Mundi’s line is literally ripped straight from rots
Last time we see Mace Windu in this series.
Becouse he fell of the Winduw
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS THAT STARWARS THE CONE WARS IS JUST FILLING IN THE GAPS WITH THE MOVIES AND THAT IT IS WORTH BRINGING UP
Lightning 78 The Cone Wars
Man she missed anakin by a few seconds XD also she would have been in the film if 1. She was canon at that time and 2. She had come in a bit sooner.
Nice that Yoda still treats her as one of his own and looks out for her
2:17 You can see Yoda was actually *SUPER* joyed to see Ahsoka again. You can also see how much he regrets the way he treated her in the past, and well, just know.
Mace is a straight savage ngl. It kinda fits his personality though because he uses sorta uses dark side of the force right?
marleymol In Legends, yes.
It's like we almost see Ahsoka and Rex join in the meeting in live action in Revenge of the Sith.
I love this, however, not gonna lie, I would love to have a complete remake of ROTS made in Clone Wars style.
2:16 The Yoda animation is so cute. This season looked so goood

Anyone else notice that rex gave the Ob shit look when mace called Ahsoka citizen. Also today is adorable in this
0:55-1:07 I liked it how they compared it to clone wars season 7 and revenge of the sith as canon, right now.
Disney still considers the whole series canon
@@retrolightning2k86 that’s because it is.
Right here is when Anakin finds out Palpatine is a Sith Lord and everything turns to shit
This comparison always gives me goosebumps
I loved the pacing of the Council conversation parallel to Anakin's with Palpatine. It's based almost exactly the same, and Anakin's conversation about doubting the Council is directly shown with them, yet again, excluding Ahsoka, for saying she's a "citizen"
WOW, incredible, perfect timing, everything fits together, a masterpiece.
Mace Windu is kind of mean to Ahsoka, the way he said "I'm sorry citizen, these matters are for the council to discuss" it was like he was trying to spit it in her face.
And then Rex is just like standing at the side who's like "damn" lol
Dont like the way windu talk to ahsoka. Thats y he dead cant talk to her like that after what she did for u guys
Yoda is looking so freakin cute ☺😂
I wonder if Ahsoka was somehow able to piece together in the same way as Adrian Toomes did from Spider-man: Homecoming what Maul said about Anakin and the fact that he is a close friend of the Chancellor, that Palpatine is in fact Sidious
I think so, but she won’t realize Anakin is Vader for a long time
@@exodustimes4266 I think that she suspected it, but refused to believe, helped along by the fact that Vader did everything he could to distance himself from his past incarnation.
Dacudo Ragnarök But the senate is Darth Sidious...
Who else wants them to remake the final fight scene on Mustafar?
2:03 - such a subtle facial twitch by Ahsoka to reveal her reactions! Gotta love the animation upgrade! 😆
1:59 what a roast 😂😂😂
This right here is what sets Filoni apart from JJ, Johnson, and Kennedy. The absolute attention to detail here. You are intersecting two confirmed pieces of canon so the minute you stray, you are invalidating one of the series and have to ask which one is canon? This was perfect
I love the parallel between the two doors opening simultaneously, with Ahsoka entering the Council meeting as Anakin enters the Chancellor's office
WAIT. Rex said Anakin was at the meeting before he went to get Ahsoka.
THAT MEANS REX SAW ANAKIN ONE LAST TIME
DAVE
Wow this is great , can you make the whole order 66 thing?
2:25
AHHHH HIS EEEYEESSS, SOMUCHBABYYODA!!!!
Yoda knew that message could have changed everything...
Yoda's design in CW is so cute
Oh man, that transition wipe as soon as the doors open and Ahsoka enters.
OMG! Can't believe it's nearly over!
Dave Filoni is an absolute genius. This is awesome work.
Ahsoka first betrayed by the Jedi Order and then by her Clone Troopers. Alone again. Poor little ‘Soka.
I LOVE how open Yoda is and how he calls her "ahsoka" and "padawan"

Mace Windu - Petty Ass
Drat! They had another chance to give Aayla Secura a line in that scene, and they didn't take it!
It feels kinda weird rewatching the scenes from Revenge of the Sith in 3D animation.
A bit like How it should ended videos
When the holograms of Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi Mundi and Windu disconnect, it feels as if they are dying. It's the last time the Council saw each other alive. Great directing here in this scene!
why ashoka wasnt in rots
She probably was written into the story by then.
This is the best comparison video yet
also ahsoka lowkey messed up big time, but everyone is to blame in this i guess
well wendu was being a bit of a ass here though which no doubt contributed to why Ashoka did not reveal everything since they were not showing sign of trust that they can deal with this rationally without repeating a incident that happened to her when she was framed.
I can’t get over that Ashoka came in right after the scene ended in Revenge of the Sith
