8:03 I really like the fact that you had the curtain to change under your bed. But is there a reason you don’t change in the communal bathrooms? Sorry I’m just wondering cause I start uni this fall. 😅

Hi! I didn't change in the bathrooms because you could only use the toilet stalls or the shower stalls to change, both of which weren't very spacious. There also wasn't any space to put your clothes there either, except for the hooks outside the shower stalls. Even though the bathrooms were cleaned daily, it still didn't feel the cleanest at times - about 40 people shared it. Changing it the bathroom definitely is doable, since some people did that. Some different dorms have shower stalls that each have a door leading to a dry changing area, which is separated from the actual shower with a curtain, giving you room to change. You don't even have to have a curtain in your room to change - you can work something out with your roommate for privacy. However, since I had the opportunity to put a curtain under my bed, I went with that option. At the end of the day, it depends on personal preference and what your communal bathroom looks like. I hope this helps!

do the bathrooms showers have locks?

The door to the shower area within the actual bathroom has a lock, but no one locks that door because others can't access the shower stalls if that door is locked. The individual shower stalls on my floor didn't have a door - they only had a curtain. In dorms that have individual shower stalls with doors, I believe those have locks, but I'm not too sure. I think the curtains are pretty safe, no one should open them if you're in the shower stall. For us, if a curtain was closed, it meant that someone was using that shower. When we were done with the shower, we just leave open the curtain and leave. I hope this helps!
