- The Crane Couple visits Akihabara in Japan to get some cool Pokemon gashapon and more! Gashapon (also known as Gachapon) are Japanese capsule toys popular around the country, and range from 200 to 500 yen each depending on the size and quality of the toy! Gashapon come in many shapes and sizes, including Pokemon, Rilakkuma, squishies and many other popular shows, games, and weird off-beat items! We also play a couple UFO catchers - because you know we can't help but try to win some prizes too!

The first shop in this video is my favorite - down past the big Don Quixote building (formerly AsoBitCity). I always go there when in Akiba. I won a big white bear head at Round1 in Ikebukuro. Got it on my second try and it fell just like yours - all the way around to one side and I wondered how it could possibly not fall, and after a second it did. I got a Rilakkuma wave machine at the small HEY arcade across from Tsukumo Robot Shop

As I write this through tears I wanted to thank you so much for your amazing videos. I've been struggling with panic attacks, depression and just constant fear of starting college in January and your videos have helped relieve me from these feelings for a short while. There are soooo many more machines than what you see in our video - the Akihabara Gashapon Hall that makes up half of this video seriously has hundreds of different gashapon! Tough to navigate but totally worth it :)

You're going to have an amazing time there Kate, we guarantee it! The magikarp taiyaki is at a small stand near a place called Cafe Fresca, which is located next to the Sega Akihabara 2nd location - hopefully you enjoy it just as much as we did!

I was so excited when I came across the magikarp taiyaki too!! So delicious and so awesome, magikarp is one of my favourite Pokemon 💕 Hope you guys managed to hit all of the millions of arcades in Akihabara despite the bad weather ☺️
We can't believe we missed it during our last trip! We only visited a couple arcades during our trip there - didn't wanna carry a ton of stuff through the rain XD

They do cost quite a bit, and add up SO fast. Some of them I'd only spend $3 on because they are gachapon- If I saw them in a store I'd be like 'Nahhhhhh' lol.

Hi Natalia! Most of this was at the Akihabara Gashapon Hall - the address is 3 Chome-15-5 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tōkyō-to 104-0061, Japan. There are a few other smaller shops too, and the last part of the video was actually inside the Akihabara train station! You'll have plenty to choose from :D
